I think my least favorite BPD thing is that it actually feels like people are insulting you or trying to conspire against you and you literally see it happening right in front of you but everyone tells you it's in your head and so you just constantly have to fight yourself down from these conspiracies you're actually inventing in your head because someone emoji reacted but didn't respond to a text or something

Some points to be learned from this article:
A massive analysis of 1.5k+ studies contrasted the different theoretical models for DD & concluded that DD are posttraumatic in nature.
There are no clinical studies that support the iatrogenic, sociocognitive, or fantasy models.
DID is a posttraumatic childhood onset disorder.
DD patients are at a huge risk for suicidal and self-destructive behavior.
DD patients have been found to have the highest rates of suicide attempts in many studies. Despite this, they are often overlooked in suicidality studies.
The lack of adequate treatment and recognition for DD is a major public health issue which is leading to substantial human and societal costs.
“By the time many DD patients are correctly diagnosed, they are demoralized and have suffered substantial secondary losses from years of unproductive treatment, hospitalizations, suicide attempts, disfiguring self-harm, disability, and careers as chronic ‘treatment resistant’ patients.”
“A major public health effort is needed to raise awareness about dissociation/DD, including educational efforts in all mental health training programs and increased funding for research.”

Does anyone have teen alters who would like to talk to other teen parts? We're trying to help ours socialize more because they can't have friendships with actual teens but have a hard time fully relating to adults. No one who's under 18 bodily please, we're in our mid twenties. Please like, rb, or message us if you think your teens might want to chat! Both of our teens have their own blogs as well, but I don't enforce any sort of boundaries on them expressing themselves so there may be some triggers to be aware of.
Stuff one or more of our teens like: MCR, My Little Pony, Pokemon cards, EGL/Lolita fashion, Maria Mena, anime and manga (incl. Death Note, Menhera-Chan, Soul Eater, and Madoka Magica), Hawthorne Heights, Kandi jewelry, morute fashion, and cosplay. They're both kind of introverted edgy teenagers who spend a lot of time online.

Introduction/looking for mutuals
I'm currently in my mid-20s, diagnosed with DID and working toward functional multiplicity currently.
Please like/reblog if you post about:
• mental health (especially DID, cPTSD, BPD, ED, and OCD)
• alternative subcultures (especially goth, emo, scene, and Lolita)
• creative endeavors (sculpture, poetry, makeup, painting, short stories, etc)
• other things we'll probably follow for it you post because at least one alter who uses Tumblr likes it: Pokemon (especially cards), MARINA, horror media, emo music, Y2K glam, marine life, Menhera-Chan, Ethel Cain, gardening and herbalism, religion and spirituality (Paganism, pantheism, animism, etc)
We will mostly be using this as a place for our dissociative parts to express themselves and to help with communication, and probably be posting about our journey healing from DID, cPTSD, and BPD as those are the things we are working on currently. Please DNI if you're under 18 as we are a whole adult.
