It’s honestly so disheartening to witness your passion die out and have the power to change it but not the will nor energy. There’s so many things I want to do, to achieve, to complete. And looking back at my posts makes me devastated, failed promises to my very small (but very appreciated) readers but also promises to myself. Things attaining to the world and what has become of it, the cruelties, the lives lost. And on top of that my own future. I’m lost and confused. Alone, physically and mentally. But I’m still here, so that must count. Damn… lmfao I don’t know if I’ll write again, in terms of continuing what I never finished. There’s currently non fanfic writing I want to start doing but I first want to get back to my roots. I hope you all are doing well in life and in loving yourself, hopefully you’ll see more of me. <3

i love your writing sm!! especially your "Corvus corax" series 😭😭 the story is so gripping and well written, all of your fanfics are!! i don't understand why are they so underrated. you're one of the few writers that capture scara's personality well, in my opinion <3 i can't wait to read more of your work in the future! i hope you have a nice day!! <3
Omfg you are so sweet, honestly 😭.
I try my best to stay true to the characters and also dive further into a more complex version that the said content never really gets into.
I'm a lore whore. And Scara is like one of the few characters I'm obsessed with (ever since his first appearance bro). BUT THANK YOU.
And about "Corvus Corax", I WILL UPLOAD A CHAPTER IM SO SORRY it's been like a month 💀💀. I'm just trying to rewrite my chapters because their a tad messy.
Fun fact: Corvus Corax is the scientific name of Ravens. [You probably already know that, LOL]

Louise, Louise
You can't be anybody's friend
Louise, Louise
I'll love you 'til I'm dead
The cold air of winter brings you a sense of comfort. The feeling of almost freezing to death was something you grew fond of. That and also no bugs to disturb your peace.
Which is why you take the opportunity to visit your father's grave. But, really, it was mostly in the hopes of running into the boy who'd too visit a grave in the winter. A grave that just so happened to be right next to your father's.
"Was that your mother?" you asked even though it was quite obvious.
The boy usually ignored you, but you didn't really care. You watched as the snow clinged onto his violet hair and his long winter coat.
You lightly sighed as you eyed your fathers grave.
"I fucking hated him" you said.
Your expectation of silence was surprised by the boy's soft chuckle.
"That makes the two of us."
He left his mother's grave heading towards the exit of the cemetery leaving his footprints behind.
This was the first time he had conversed with you over the past week. And though it ended pretty quickly, you found some joy of gaining his attention. It's not like it'll be the last time you see him, as you both arrive at the cemetery same time everyday. Expect Sunday's, you prefer to stay home that day.
"Paying your respects to my father?" You laughed as you walked towards your father's grave to which you were greeted by the boy eyeing the tombstone.
"A lawyer who helped criminals" He turned to meet your eyes, a purple hue analyzing your features for the first time, at least with you looking right at him as he does so.
"Ah, so you did your research. He was-uh, an interesting individual. I never did truly understand him."
"And what about now. With all the news." He was awfully chatty all of a sudden? You nodded your head, though you didn't say anything.
"What's your name?" You dismissed his question.
"I asked you something" he sternly said.
"Yeah, well, I don't feel like answering it. Is that fair?" You balanced back and forth with your hands in your coat pocket.
"Whatever." He scoffed.
"So....?" He looked as if he was contemplating whether or not he should humor your question since you did not answer his.
"Kunikuzushi."
You repeated his name constantly in your head. To say your intrigued by him is a understatement. He certainly made your life a tad bit more interesting. The fact he never asked your name told you he already knew it.
"Let's go on a date." You randomly proposed catching the boy off guard.
"Excuse me?" He coughed out.
"You heard me," you brightly said as you watched him regain his composure. You found his shielded defense personality adorable when he slips up.
"Yeah hard pass."
"Really? So you're telling me you rather be here and watch the same stiff ass tombstone of someone you don't even like than go on a date with a beautiful person such as myself?"
"Hmm, let me think about it.... yeah!"
"Oh be honest Kuni, you come here everyday, same time, in hopes of seeing me."
"In your dreams."
"More like reality asshat"
"Don't project your delusional romantic fantasies onto me."
You rolled your eyes at his rejection to your request. So you resorted to your over-exaggerated groans and heavy sighs of disappointment. And it worked considering the boy's short temper.
"What do you even gain from this date" he massaged the bridged of his nose, you were probably giving him an headache.
"Your attention."
"You have it now, dont you?"
"Yes, but I would rather not be in the same setting with you all the time. It feels like others are intruding on our conversations, dont you think?" You reference to the two tombstones in front of you both.
You don't remember how, but somehow managed to convince the stubborn introverted mysterious boy to go to a cafe near the area with you.
"Dont you find it strange?" You lightly blew on your latte to cool it down.
The boy across the table from you arched a brow. You opened your mouth to clarify your statment.
"I feel like I've known you for the longest time. Its like we're soulmates!"
"Not this again" he groaned in annoyance.
"Haha, okay, I'll stop. But don't you feel it too -" you sighed at the death stare he gave you. "You don't really add much to a conversation."
You both sat in silent till it was his turn to finally contribute to the conversation you so wanted.
"I've seen you in school before."
"Oo tell me more tell me more, like did I have a car!" You sang as a means of encouragement and childness.
"Are you mentally okay?" To your suprise, he lightly chuckled at your randomness.
"Was that a laugh!?!? Little old me made you laugh!?" You put your hand on your chest for an exaggerated expression.
"I will kill you." He smiled disappeared, though you could tell he was biting his cheeks.
"Okay, okay, but as you were saying."
"You get bullied a lot."
"Jee, thanks."
"It clearly bothers you, though you dont show it."
"I mean, I could say the same about you. Same but not the same. I mean, I'm not an asshole but because my dad practically was, I get shitted on. You ARE an asshole and people shit on you for it because your mom was practically an angel"
"Hardly."
"Basically."
You wonder where he was going with the sudden topic, but he took it no further as he drank the rest of his coffee. "Truly are the devil. Black Coffee? No sugar?"
"You can say, I'm just as bitter as it taste."
"I bet you thought you looked really cool as you said that."
"Im leaving."
Not this again. Many lights flashed in your eyes at such a rapid speed. You were sure you'd go blind. The sounds of cameras taking pictures of you in many angels were becoming so overwhelming that you couldn't understand the many questions these reporters were bombarding you with.
Only mumbled voices invaded your head as you desperately tried to find a way out. A mic was shoved in your face as you stared into the camera zooming in your face.
"Huh," you were out of breath, and that was the only word that managed to come out. The reporter pointed the mic towards themselves to repeat their question before returning it to you.
"Do you plan to follow in your Father's footsteps? It was believed one of his clients killed him. Is it true? Did you support your father's action? Are the rumors of his abusive behavior towards you true as well?"
You swore everything was spining, "No?" You said still looking for a way out. Your unsure response caused a uproar of questions. You started to lose your composer.
"Get the fuck of me!" You shoved the mic away from your face as you forcibly pushed your self through the crowd.
This always happened. Why? Because a stupid lawyer decided to help criminals escape from death threatening sentences. And, it was the fact he was good at his job and so willingly used his intelligence to help these horrid human beings is what cursed his name, and in return, you. All for the sake of money.
Seeing the reporters shortly following after you, you started to run in the hopes of losing them. But of course, these drama, thirsty reporters know how to chase down a story.
A sound of a motorcycle raising its engine caught your attention. "Get in" Kunikuzushi's voice called out to you. Never have been more happy to see his face.
You didn't waste any time to climb on the back, grabbing his waist as he sped off, not even caring for the red light that shined. You turned your head watching as the reporters disappeared from your line of sight.
Finally, you can breathe.
You relaxed your body leaning into the warmth of Scaramouche's body. "Thank you."
He didn't say anything, but he never really needs to when it comes to you. His actions always speak louder.

You both had stopped at a convenient store at a quiet neighborhood sitting at the edge of the sidewalk after buying snacks to eat.
"I've should've known you owned a motorcycle." You commented already missing the feeling of being on it.
"I bet you thought I was hot." He smugly said.
"Alright let's not get too cocky now." You mocked.
"But you're not denying it."
You laughed at you stared at the distant forest the blue sky peeking through the leaves.
"They often bother you?" He asked.
You hummed, "Occasionally, but never as much as they did today. Their so fucking annyoing."
"They're just assholes who are trying to make a profit out of other people's misery."
"You can say that again."
"Here," He handed you a side of his wired headphones and you plugged it to your ears. You both zoned out off into to the distance. You both had grown comfortable with each other after your little coffee date, and the ones that shortly came after it.
You perferred to be alone, but you never imagine how good it'd feel to be alone with someone else. The soft music in your ear was slowly lulling you to sleep as you rested your head on Kunikuzushi's shoulder.
Your hands slowly brushed. You almost retracted it back until Kunikuzushi hand firmly sat on top of yours. He let out a shaky breath.
"Fuck." He said softly. How could one cursed so nicely you thought.
"What?"
"I hate you."
"That's cute."
You both laughed. Not the first time he said such a thing but you both knew it was utter bullshit.
"Don't do it." His voice got quiter, more serious. You brought your head back up in confusion towards his vague comment.
"Hmm? Do what?"
"Your stupid email sent early, you clearly didnt mean for it to."
You froze as your heart sank. "I- I." For once you had a lost for words.
"Not yet..... just wait it out. And if it really gets bad then, I'll go with you. Deal?"
"Kuni-" he cut you off.
"Just say yes." He looked at your eyes searching for an answer.
You gently placed your hand on his face, placing a light feathery kiss on his lips, he leaned into your touch holding tightly to the hand on his cheek.
"Yes."
The sun was setting.

The Compass leads back to you

Pirate!Scaramouche x (Female)Reader
One-shot
Warnings: none
You miserably sulk to the music at your engagement party, more so a ball, to a man your father had arranged for you to marry. Waiting for the dreadful day to end, you hadn't anticipated seeing a face of the past. One that you had missed dearly.

Even though the music was ever so graceful, ever so soothing. It still felt all the more suffocating.
It was a ball, ofcourse.
You sighed at the top of the balcony near the stairs gazing at the many guest waltzing about in their grand outfits. They were here for you and your fiance's engagement.
Away from the eyes of others you eyed your sooned to be husband, greeting the many alliances that he'll gain once you've married. Your father a very powerful man, the one who arrange this marriage in the first place, is a force to be reckoned with.
You'd would know, you were quite the rebellious child in your teen years. You couldn't help but smile at the memories that came flooding in.
"Are you that happy to be engaged?-" A condescending tone reached your ears. You watched as a familiar figure, one you thought you never see again, appear from the shadow. It was as if he knew you were thinking of him.
His violet hair had gotten longer, and his matching colored eyes gotten sharper. Though he had obviously matured, the boy you first met was still there. Your heart started to heat up, but you maintained your composure on the outside.
"And here I thought all this time you missed me" He stepped closer to where you stood at the edge of the railing. You could smell the sea on his dark brown attire paired with his infamous tricorne hat and the hanging bell he keeps attached to it.
"Scaramouche" you softly spoke.
He tilted his hat in response along with the smirk you remember he often did.
"In the flesh" he lifted your right gloved hand and gently placed a kiss. You allowed him to, and it had brought you to your senses.
"You shouldn't be here, matter in fact why even are you here? If my father catches a sight of you-"
"Relax, princess", your eye twitched at the name.
"I'm serious." You said showing your urgency as you stared him down.
He laughed as he gazed down the balcony as you once were mere mintues ago. You followed his eyes at a particular light blued haired man. "A Kamisato. Can't say I'm surprised at your father's choice."
"Ayato is a wealthy man, from a wealthy family. My father chose well."
Scaramouche's eyes grew dull at the words that came out of your mouth. "First name basis already, you must love him!" He bitterly said.
You tisked in annoyance at his comment. He knew. He knew you didn't love the man. And it felt like he was making fun of you for the fake act, all for your father's sake.
"What do you want. Here to steal some jewels? Money? A family heirloom?" You jabbed at him.
"I'm here for you."
What.
It took you second to understand the words that came out his mouth, that you hadn't realized you avoided his eyes. And how sincere they were.
You scoffed out in defense. "It's been a year since we've seen each other. And the last time we saw each other we almost gotten each other killed. You need to leave."
Scaramouche rolled his eyes at your dismissive response. "Last time, your father got in the way-"
"Your point is?" You cut him off.
"My point is, we had fun together. Don't you remember? We were free. Free from this cursed world, freed from people who tired to chain us down to their ideals"
You could see the temper in Scaramouche voice rising. (A skill you gained from the years of experiencing his hot headness). You forcibly dragged him, though he didn't fight back, to a more secluded and shaded area, away from prying eyes.
"Yes, because killing, stealing, committing crimes to get such freedom is justified" You sarcastically whispered.
Scaramouche laughed as he leaned in, playing with your hair. "Don't act like you didn't enjoy the ride."
He sighed at the expression of a kicked puppy you had on. "You loved the sea. The crew. Now look at you-
"-Beautiful as ever, even while chained."
You roughfully pushed him away from you. "Have you come here just to taunt me? Ridicule me?"
"I'm here to save you. Just as you've done to me all those years ago."
"So tell me-" He got closer to you, catching your arms to prevent you from pushing him away. "Tell me that you love that Kamisato skunk. Tell me that you love the life your father written out for you. Tell me that you don't want me. Tell me that you don't love me." He leaned his head ontop of yours. "And then I'll leave", he was desperate, and that's when you made a connection that things never really changed between you two.
You remember when you first met him. It was at the black market downtown, and you being a disobedient child had ran away from home. You just so happened to run into the most wanted pirate in the area, and he so willingly allowed you to hitch a ride in his ship. For a reason even he didn't know as to why.
But what you both didn't know was how much fun you'd have together. And oh, how much he brought out the bad side of you. A princess stealing?
Partners in crime you both were. You as the beautiful distraction, charming your victims. All while Scaramouche was in the shadows whisking away anything of valuable.
Though things got ugly. You had each other. And oh, how you brought out the good side in him. So much so that it terrified him. Terrified him so much that no matter how hard he wanted to run away. He couldn't bring himself to do so.
He always felt he was missing something in his life. The amount of gossip he couldn't escape from. A failure of a child prodigy. Unwanted by his mother. He started to believe what people said about him that he acted like it. A heartless fool. He created a new identity from the stories that his origins were no longer remembered by others.
A cycle of pain he found himself in, that he decided to distract by committing crimes against these high ranked individuals. For years he did this until it led him to you.
His heart.
"You know I love you." You confess, voice shakey as you were in the brink of tears. "But I can't bare to see you get harmed again because of my f-"
The second he heard the words he longed to fall out your mouth, he smashed his lips onto yours. Rough like his personality but the touch of his hand on the side of you face and waist were soft just as his love for you. You reciprocated the kiss. For how long have you waited to be near him? To touch him once again. Your were so lost in the moment you didn't noticed when he slipped out your engagement ring from your left hand.
He slowly back away, his eyes lingering on your lips clearly wanting more.
"Your a hard lady to please. You don't need to worry about your father. Where we're going is somewhere he'll never be able to reach."
If you thought your heart was racing before it doesn't compare to how much it was racing now. It was so fast you thought it'd rip out of your chest.
It was just like the first time you escaped from home. The same adrenaline rush was flowing through your veins. The thought of escaping had you wanting to laugh both out of joy and nervousness. And the fact that your now with him. Your wanted criminal.
"With that look on your face, it seems like I finally made you come to your senses. To think all it took was kiss to do so" he smugly said. "Should I do it more often?"
"Just get us out of here idiot."
"But ofcourse, princess" you yelped as he picked you up to carry you in bridal style.
"What the hell are you doing!?"
Scaramouche laughed at your spark of attitude His mind fluttered as he sees the girl he first met.
"Well sweetheart, we are going to be running. And as far as I remember you've never been a good runner" he starts walking with you in his arms back into the light.
"Yeah, yeah whatever, hey what are you-?"
Scaramouche throws a jewel you quickly see was your engagement ring down the balcony.
The sound of it reaching and cracking into the ground alerted the people as it reached the foot of Kamisato Ayato. To which he rapidly made eye contact to Scaramouche. You saw him flick his eyes back forth to you and him. He understood the whole situation, his hand gripping the handle of his sword laying on his waist.
Scaramouche smiled in a sense of victory at Kamisato's silent fury. You tightly grapsed onto Scaramouche's neck as you tsked at his petty antic. Guards charging up the stairs yelling out to halt and to surrender, both which Scaramouche will not do. Scaramouche took this as the time to start running as he secured the grip he had on you.
"You just had to get the last word didn't you."
"Can you blame me? He thought he could have you."

ᴛᴀʙʟᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴄᴏɴᴛᴇɴᴛꜱ
ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪ -> ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪɪɪ
A scaramouche x [gender netural] reader story
♫ J’ai pas fait semblant, je te jure. J’ai jamais dit non, j’ai juste. Laissé le temps courir, partir, venir, mourir, courir, partir, venir, et mourir ♫
"I received news from your soldiers that you acquired my assistance?" An angelic voice came from an elegant woman with long rosy pink hair, she resembled that of a mermaid.
"Divine Priestess. You sure took your sweet time getting here," Scaramouche said bitterly.
"Well, this unexpected snowstorm did prove to be a difficult travel for your soldiers, not to mention that one couldn't breathe through their mouth."
"Oh, so he made it? Impressive. I'll be straightforward with you, Kokomi, I'm not here for idle chit chat."
Kokomi grinded her teeth at Scaramouche, who had very little to no care for his people. "Of course, I don't want to waste your time here any longer, my Lord."
"I'll pretend you aren't mocking me just this once for their sake," Scaramouche unwrapped a blanket to reveal the raven he had been carrying in his arms. Kokomi gasped at the sight.
"A raven? But I thought all of them were terribly massacred."
"I had thought so too. However, it seems as though one managed to survive. But not without being harmed. I managed to stop the poison from getting anywhere near their heart, but only someone with your expertise can fully rid them of this poison."
"Yes, of course, I'll gladly do so. Seems to be yet another effect of black magic. " Kokomi carefully picked the raven off Scaramouche's hold and placed them on a flat surface, "You poor thing, do not fret. The pain will only be temporary."
Scaramouche gave Kokomi space, distancing himself. He had saved the raven purely out of impulse.
The truth was,
He saw a little bit of himself when he witnessed the Raven's begging.
The times he had begged his mother to not toss him aside.
"Please don't leave me! I swear I'll be better, I'll become better!"
But when he begged, no one saved him.
So he saved you, his raven.
It didn't take too long for you to wake up. The immediate soreness rushed through your body. You held your head as you felt a headache coming in.
Though your eyes were blurry, you could make your surroundings you were in an infirmary of some sorts. But most importantly, you weren't home.
Your memories started to flood back in. They were dead, you could feel it. You were alone.
"So you're finally awake."
Your eyes shifted to the doorway where the man who saved you stood.
"Who are you?" On guard, you still had no clue of this man's intention regardless of his helping hand.
"I was expecting a 'Thank you', but I did hear you Raven's were quite the bold ones when it comes to strangers not of their Lord's."
"You didn't answer my question." You carefully demanded.
"Well, to put it simply, I'm your Lord." He crossed his arms.
Your Lord? But that would mean. Now that you looked at him, he awfully resembled the Raiden Shogun. Oh.
"You're her son."
He shoulders tensed at your realization. He sighed, rolling his eyes from you to the bandages on your stomach.
"That I am. Seems your injury has been healing quite well. " he placed a hand at his chest, playing with the fabric. You eyed his strange actions.
"If you have taken place, does that mean the Shogun has stepped down?"
"She died."
Your heart sank. "She - she died? Is that why she didn't come to save us?" You talked more to yourself than to the man in the room.
"The events happened just a mere day before your family's incident. It's such a shame. You all were supposed to be my army."
Your headache was starting to hurt. What now? What now? What now? What now? What now?
"Calm yourself, you swore to me, remember? I don't need a brainless fool by my side."
You were still in shock that all of this had occurred, this- it was too much.
"Ugh, clearly you are still recovering. I will have someone to check on you for the time being. I'll give you some time to think, but when I return, I expect a true Raven to be here"
-☆-
The morning air felt unusually cold, as you waited at a food vendor in Inazuma City for Kujou Sara. Last night thoughts lingered in your mind.
"Hey, you alright?" Kujou Sara woke you up from your thoughts.
Huh? You were confused as to how you exactly made this bench you and Sara sat on in front of a small pond with Koi fish swimming about. Was I that deep in my thoughts?
"Yes, sorry I was just zoning out."
"So, what did he talk to you about? Did he confess his undying love for you?" Sara practically gagged at the idea.
"Nothing really just something about scouting the area near Kannazuka island."
Sara nodded taking a bit out of her egg roll. "Didn't you say you have something to tell me?" You asked.
"Ah yes that. I just wanted to ask a personal question, if you don't mind that is."
"That depends on the question, Sara."
"Do you like Scaramouche?" You almost choked on your food.
"No." You managed to cough out.
"Well you sure answered that quickly, a little too eager to shut it down if i do say so myself."
You gave her a deadpanned look to which she lightly laughed at.
"That couldn't have possibly been your question, stop messing with me, your jokes are not funny."
"Oh but you laughed when I fell down the stairs." Sara sarcastically said.
You covered your chuckle at the thought.
"Wow!!" Sara exaggerated.
"Now see, that was funny." You both smiled at the memory.
You both relaxed in the silence eating your food. You've grown close to Sara during your few months living and working in Tenshukaku, often checking on each other regardless of different positions.
Though you denied it you did trust her and valued her opinions even though they annoyed you or you disagreed with them. However, at this very moment.
She was lying.
So this is how it is. So this is how it is.
You both were lying.
Sara broke the silence in disappointment, "Do you even know who you are?"
"Do not patronize me." You immediately retorted.
"Can't you believe it's been almost 4 months, and you still haven't told me your actual name?"
"What are you getting at, Sara."
"You've thrown your life away and gave it to someone who is just keeping it stored away."
"Such poetic words, it almost touched my heart truly."
"I get it, you've lost so many-" that was it.
"Don't kid yourself, Sara, you don't get it. You never will, but I've never antagonized you for it. So what? Let me throw my life away. You are not responsible for my actions. Don't waste your time on me when I make my decision. I chose this."
"You do love him… don't you?" Sara's eyes stayed on yours. And all you saw was pity and regret.
"This conversation is over."
The koi fish scattered away as you stood up, taking your leave back into the city. Sara did not call out for your name, not that you expected her to.
You were in a rush back to Tenshukaku purely out of frustration, you didn't usually get upset that easily at least not with Sara.
You were on edge.
What did she really want to say? It felt like she was testing my current mindset. And clearly, I have failed. The trust is no longer there. She won't confide in me anymore. Could she be-
You were abruptly pushed back when your shoulder collided with another.
"Oh, so sorry, dear." A lady grabbed your arm apologetically. You turned to look at the said the Lady. No way.
Lady Guji of Narukami Grand Narukami Shrine.
Also known as Yae Miko.
"It's not a problem. What a rare occurrence to see you far into the city Lady Guji. What brings you here?"
"Ah, just a change of scenery. Working two jobs as Chief editor and Head shrine Maiden, a woman like me surely needs a break, don't you think?"
"Yes indeed" Lady Guji's way of speech was always hard for you to read, it's as though she is an open book with no words written on it.
"You look so gloomy dear, it's been quite a while hasn't it. That last time we've truly interacted was when I visited your family." She clasped her hand on yours as a means to say her condolences.
"I must be on my Lady Guji" you broke off from her hold, bowing and continuing your walk.
She called your name.
"Whenever you seek answers you know where to find me."
You gazed behind your shoulder as you watched Lady Guji walk off.
She is heading in the direction of Kujou Sara.
-☆-
In a discreet room in Komore Teahouse, four guests hold a heavy discussion.
"Raven's are very loyal Sara, they were soldiers and messengers for the Shogun herself. And now only one remains. They aren't just loyal because Scaramouche saved them but because it's their job" Shikanoin Heizou explains.
Sara groaned in frustration as Yae Miko hummed.
"Oh detective, it's much more than that, surely you have realized that?"
"Miko enough of your literature input." Sara barked.
"Sara you can't deny they clearly have something between them that the public eye can't see, maybe even they themselves can't see-" Yae Miko took a sip out of her tea.
"-Regardless, your relationship has cracked after your inputting"
"Which is why I told you not to engage so brashly," Heizou added.
"Yes, I get it, I fucked up. However, I do not regret it one bit. They are obviously very detached from themselves. I simply want to help."
"Relax, Sara, one might think you're the one in love-" Miko teased, though it only upset the ex-general.
"Enough of these games Miko. I had enough about them. The whole purpose isn't about Raven, it's about Scaramouche and bringing him down."
"Alright alright, slow your horses Sara. Raven may not be the whole purpose but they surely do play a part" Heizou defused the rise in emotions.
"With what exactly?" Sara calmed herself.
"Well, Divine Priestess? You've been unusually quiet when you're the one who hosted this meeting?" Miko gestured to the unspoken guest.
"Apologies everyone, I'm just soaking in the many possible outcomes of this rebellion" Kokomi placed the tea she was holding for a while down.
"Of course, because this could always backfire on us at any time. Which might very well cost us our lives" Heizou reminded. Everyone nodded in acknowledgement.
Kokomi cleared her throat.
"There is one factor we might be able to exploit from our Raven's existence-
their heart."
-☆-
You trashed everything in your room. Glass shattered on the floor. Curtains dragged to the floor.
You were sweating, as your chest was burning up. Your brain screamed at you as you gripped the edge of your vanity table. You couldn't even bring yourself to look at your reflection out of fear on your appearance.
It felt like darkness was cloaking you, suffocating you. Constant whispers of wanting to kill and commit multiple bloodsheds flew into your ears as you told it to "shut up" which to no surprise did not work.
Frequently, Kujou Sara's name was brought up. You always talked big on doing what you must. But the morbid description of putting an end to her clawed at you. She was your friend, after all.
I always seem to contradict myself. You laughed at yourself.
You wanted to rip your skin, you couldn't take it.
You heard your name being called from behind you.
"You're aware when I said this room is for you to do as you please, I didn't mean to turn it into a dumpster." You lifted your eyes to see Scaramouche through the mirror, blurring out your image. You hadn't realized he welcomed himself inside.
"Lord-"
"Don't you ever get tired of calling me that? It's just me and you. You know my name use it."
"I didn't mean to Kuni" he softly sighed as he walked up closer to you resting his hand on the top of your chair.
"I don't know about that, you seemed to make sure to destroy every fragile item here. Mind telling what's the issue?"
"It's nothing."
"Don't lie to me"
"…"
"It's quite embarrassing for me to have to fetch my own soldier when they should've arrived at the said time." He complained but he didn't really seem to care that much about the matter.
"It won't happen again"
"I would hope not. Now-" he grabbed your hair pulling it off your face.
"-Who is the problem?"
"All of them," you answered.
He hummed. "I should have expected as much. Well, there is nothing we can do at the movement. What do you say we just act it out till the moment to strike arises."
"Yes sir"
Sir? You never really called him as such. And it was off-putting for Scaramouche. He chose to ignore it.
"... I never liked that Kujou girl anyways."
He pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket wiping the sweat off your face with it.
"Now we have work to do, dear. Don't worry about the mess, I'll have someone take care of it."
You slowly stood up from your chair with the help of Scaramouche pulling your chair out for you.
"Calmer?" He asked.
You nodded. You peeked through the now wide opened windows thanks to you. "The snow is finally drying up."
"The cold still lingers so make sure to wear your coat, I'll meet you outside."
"No, wait." You called out.
Scaramouche stopped at the door, awaiting your response. "My coat is on the bed, I just need to put it on. So might as well go down together" you swiftly made your way to your bed to put on your coat.
"Well then, hurry up, would you?"
Scaramouche held the door for you, as you walked out together.
And the voices were gone just like that.

ᴛᴀʙʟᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴄᴏɴᴛᴇɴᴛꜱ
ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪɪ
A scaramouche x reader [gender netural] story
♫ When you want to escape, say the word. Well, I know that getting you alone isn't easy to do. With the exception of you, I dislike everyone in the room. ♫
You were desperate,
you were dying.
The weather did not care for your restless mind that kept you from succumbing to death. The cold air breezing through your wings. Your eyes were slowly giving up on you. It was too much for you, yet you still treaded on.
You were lost for the first time of your life, separated from your family and friends. You had no idea if we're alive or not.
You were selfish. You didn't even turn back to see or even help. You just fled the scene.
Your wings gave up on you as you crashed through trees of an unknown forest. No leaves to help break your fall. You tumbled out of your bird form and into your human one.
Groaning in pain, you clenched your shirt that hid your wound. You were still bleeding. It was but a small wound.
However, you were poisoned, and it was rapidly reaching your heart.
You surveyed the area in which you had landed in, snow covering your lashes. You searched and searched till your eyes landed on a man from a distance.
He had violet hair and a dark colored kimono with a kasa on top of his head. He was staring down on a gravestone. The name was not visible.
You hadn't realized you crawled your way to him, till you heard your own raspy voice call out to him.
"Please" you begged.
The man turned around to look down at you.
"Help me. I'll do anything," your voice now barely audible.
"Anything?" The man jested. He kneeled down to get a better look at you.
He touched your arm, feeling the black feathers that were there. Because of your injury, you weren't able to properly transform into your human body.
"A raven, hm?"
You felt pathetic. You did not know if this man was a potential enemy or if you should even put your trust in him. Usually, you'd never let anyone even get this close to you, let alone touch you.
However, weren't you dying? You'd take your chances.
"I'll save you, but you must swear your life to me," the man offered.
The snow storm was picking up.
"I want your utmost loyalty, I want you to kill for me. Swear it, and I will save you"
The man lifts your face up to meet with his cold eyes that matched the hue of his hair. You managed to open your mouth. It was a whisper, but he still heard you loud and clear.
"I swear"
_
The crunch of snow alerted the guards of the entrance to Tenshukaku.
They immediately kneeled.
"Lord Scaramouche, we haven't realized you left." One of the guards had said.
Their purple haired Lord that was in front of them hummed.
"You look a little bit ill, my Lord. Are you alright? -"
"Silence, I did not permit you to ask any questions." Scaramouche spat at the other.
"Y-yes, my Lord"
Scaramouche groaned in annoyance, "Pathetic, how long are you going to kneel on the floor?"
The two soldiers immediately got up, fixing their attire out of embarrassment and fear. Scaramouche sighed as he gazed down on the raven, cradled in his arms sound asleep.
The two soldiers looked at one another in confusion but didn't dare to question their Lord.
"Alert the Divine Priestess in Watsumi Island that her presence is needed now. She has work to do here"
"Yes, my Lord, we will send a message -"
"Oh, I'm sorry. Did you miss when I said her presence is needed now?" The impatience in Scaramouche started to rise every passing second.
"N-no my Lord"
"So then why are you still here?"
"But with this weather, its-"
Scaramouche waved his hand up in a circled motion. Silence. One of the soldiers felt for his mouth only to find he had none. He turned to the untouched soldier with a grim look,
"Should I do the same to you?"
The other soldier shook their head no, as he hurried the other to take their leave and follow their Lord's order.
After the soldiers left the area, Scaramouche opened the doors to his palace. It was quiet, just how he wanted it, how he needed it.
He was feared, even his comrades [the few] that formed an alliance with him coward in his wrath.
He was told he takes this part of himself from his recently deceased mother, The Raiden Shogun, who, too, was once a formidable sorceress.
His pacing to his quarters was slow, fuck, he cursed underneath his breath. His mind wondered about the raven he held in his arms. The main thought came in a form of question, though deep down he already knew the answer.
Will I regret saving this damn raven?
A few months later…
Sounds of horse trotting in the snow were the only thing Scaramouche could hear as he and 3 of his soldiers trailed behind him.
Tsk, where are they? He eyed the gray sky in annoyance.
"My Lord, it seems those traitors are nowhere to be found, I think it'd be best to alert everyone in the Palace of this -"
Scaramouche scoffed a laugh, "I'm not in the mood for such stupidity, I suggest you keep your mouth shut and continue searching, incompetent fool."
Scaramouche averted his eyes back to the sky, where he finally spotted who he was looking for, you, in your raven form. He had a satisfied sigh as he watched you fly down to the ground and into your human form already in a kneeling position.
"My Lord," your voice was very pleasant to his ears.
He got off from his horse to stand in front of your arms crossed. "You're late"
"Apologies, but I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear I found your traitors"
"I trust you've dealt with them?"
"Naturally -" You reached into a bag that was not yours. "-your crown my Lord," you presented to him.
He hummed, very pleased with your actions. "Carry it with you".
"Ofcourse," you picked yourself off from the ground, pocketing back the crown. But to your dismay, your job for today was not quite done.
Scaramouche leaned into your figure. "You don't want your Lord to be made a fool of, do you? There are some mouths you need to hush for me," you eyed your Lord's crazed smile as he twirled a strand of your hair.
"As you wish, my Lord. You don't mind if I get your sword a bit dirty, do you, it's for your sake after all," you gave Scaramouche dirty eyes, not waiting for a reply as you reached towards his hips unsheathing his sword. You sighed at what you needed to do.
"Raven?" One of the soldiers questioned your darken expression as you approached them, completely oblivious to you and Scaramouche's conversation.
You were often called Raven by the people in Inazuma per Scaramouche's order. "Only I can say your name," he claims.
The other soldier to your left was about to flee on his horse, he clearly had put two and two together.
Unfortunately for him, you were faster.
Common birds of the forest flew from their trees at the sound of your comrades, screams, and pleads for mercy, to which you did not heed. The horses of the once soldiers long runned away.
Now, all that was left was a bloody scene with you in the middle of it and your Lord simply watching it on his horse.
You held your face, trying not to show any emotions. Otherwise, you'd get a lecture from Scaramouche as to how your anger and guilt from these "insignificant beings" had it coming.
"Isn't this quite a disadvantage for you? Having me kill your top 3 soldiers, " you asked with your back facing him.
"The least you could do is look at me when asking a question. It's quite disrespectful." He brought his horse closer to you.
You turned to face him, and he eyed you as though you were a masterpiece, regardless of the blood that painted your body. You were visibly pissed and he enjoyed that fact.
"Oh, come on, my most devoted and precious Raven. People talk, and I can't have them tarnishing my name because of this incident. Besides, if they were truly my strongest soldiers, they would have least put up a fight now, wouldn't they?"
It was disgusting to you how he tried to put up a reason as though it was so justifiable.
Scaramouche rolled his eyes, "Let us return, so you can clean yourself. The snow will bury their bodies."
You sheathed his sword back onto his hip, transforming back to your raven form and resting yourself on his shoulder.
"What? Didn't want to hold onto me," Scaramouche laughed, to which you cawed at. "Oh yes, tell me how much you love me"
Oh, if you could just poke his eyes out, you would.
_
Once Tenshukaku came into view, you flew off of Scaramouche's shoulder to enter through one of the windows, but not before he called out to you. "I want you in my quarters after you get yourself cleaned."
You left out of his sight, flying into the window of your room. A bath. You needed a bath. You reverted back to your human form, heading straight to the bathroom.
You caught yourself in front of your mirror.
Did I always look like this?
So inhumane, you didn't even feel like a true Raven. Your life was almost the same as it was months ago before you met Scaramouche, but it felt more morbid.
You blamed it on being homesick.
You undressed yourself, entering the shower. You slowly scrub your arms, your legs, your face, everywhere you could. You let the water get hot just enough so the mirror would get foggy. Just enough so it could feel as though you were burning.
You watched the watered-down blood seep down into the drain. You hated him, you hated him so much you had to refrain yourself from screaming or even scratching your face off.
You also hated the fact that though you could very well at least attempt to kill him or, at most, run away, you did not.
You hated him, but he saved you.
You hated him, but he gave you a home.
Where else would you go?
A knock came from your bathroom door. "It's me, Sara"
Kujou Sara was once a loyal right hand under The Radien Shogun's reign, but now under Scaramouche rule, she has been demoted to a mere servant, at times she would be called onto the field.
"Come in," you hear the door open, seeing Sara's figure pass by behind the shower curtains.
"Your specialized dedicated designed uniform that matches perfectly with that of our Lord's is right here for you to wear. Perfabally today before you meet with him, in his quarters, alone, just the two of you," you can practically feel the sarcasticness and spitefulness that comes out of her mouth.
"Is there something you want to say to me, Sara?" You ask as you start to wash your hair.
"Yeah, why are you still here doing his bidding?"
You groaned, "You know exactly why, and watch what you say. You seem to forget that I can easily get you killed."
"Wow, you say that as though we're aren't friends"
"We aren't. Just one word I can say to him about you talking shit and your life is over. Matter, in fact, just your name alone is enough"
"I'm so terrified!! If you wanted to, you would've done it ages ago."
"True. Ugh, can you just get out? Before you get me killed for talking shit with you."
"Raven, we both know that would never happen."
You stayed silent as you turned off the water. Sara pushed her hand through to hand you your towel.
"Thanks" you started to dry off your body.
"How are you feeling?"
"Same as usual, fine." Here we go again, you thought. As much as you appreciated Sara checking up on you, it feels as though you're going insane. A repeated cycle, and the only thing that you can physically see a change in is that you're only getting worse and worse.
Sara sighed at your empty response. "I won't pry, but you are clearly not fine. I'll let you do your thing. But whenever you have the chance to talk, let me know. There's something I need to talk to you about."
And with that, Kujou Sara left your space. You opened the curtains and stepped out the tub. The attire did, in fact, match Scaramouche. Dark colors of purple, red, and black. The measurements of course were perfected, as this isn't the first time he has gotten something tailored just for you.
He confused you so much when he did things like this. You remembered Kujou Sara saying it's because he likes you.... romantically. You immediately denied that idea.
"What does he know about love?"
"And what do you know about it?" Kujou Sara had countered.
The thought of it even being anything remotely close to love sickened you. You didn't even know how to describe your relationship with Scaramouche.
You were obviously his right-hand man, though he calls you "his raven." But there were times where-
You sighed. You didn't have time for this. You buttoned up your clothing and headed out of your room into the dim halls. You didn't want to keep him waiting, did you?
You always noticed how quiet it was in the Palace. Not that nobody worked here, but because they made sure to keep themselves hidden unless Scaramouche asked for their presence.
You made it to his doors, wasting no time to knock. "It's me," you announced.
"Enter"
You opened the doors to his quarters closing it behind you, he was staring outside his window, well was, now his eyes were glued to you. "Do you like your clothes?" He smirked.
Oh, so that's how it was. He knew you would stain your clothes, so he already had something prepared in advance. Your fist tightened for a second before you let them lose.
"They fit, my Lord."
"Such a boring response as expected. I, for one, think it compliments your complexion quite well. You should thank me." It wasn't a suggestion. It was an order.
"Thank you for the gift, my Lord."
"Now stop being so awkward standing there and sit down."
And so you sat down on one of the two chairs near the bookshelves adjacent to the window. You eyed the sweets he left on the coffee table as well the two cups filled with tea.
Scaramouche took a seat on the vacant chair on the opposite side of the table. He smiled at your not so hidden expression. "You can take one, they are your favorite aren't they?" He gloated as he grabbed one of the cups of tea and took a sip.
You suppose this time you can stop playing your game of bitterness. However, taking a bite of one of the sweets did not help the swellness in your heart for even indulging in it.
"As much as I love seeing your face. I did call you for business matters, " Scaramouche said seriously. You are giving him eye contact showing you were giving him your utmost attention.
"As you know I'm quite loved by many-"
"-My Lord."
"It was a joke."
You crossed your arms, and he cleared his thoart before continuing. "I have many targets on my back, as you know. And it seems as though someone in our nation, specifically, a part of this Palace, is trying to dethrone me."
You took a sip out of your cup tea. "Who?"
"For once I do not know, I do have a list of suspects." He looked at you, and you raised an eyebrow at his strong stare.
"I must apologize. A tiny bit apart of me wants to say it's you. But I strongly believe you wouldn't cross me."
"Of course I wouldn't, I owe you my life," you said wholeheartedly. Even though you'd cursed his name at times, you meant every word.
You missed how his eyes went soft for a second.
"Yes, you owe me your life. And don't you ever forget that," he sighed. "Anyways, I need you to look over the list of people. It goes from most to least likely based on my judgment." He handed you a folded sheet of paper which you took.
"Should I kill any one of them if caught?" You said way too quickly for your taste. You cursed yourself for even saying that. Why did you even suggest that?
Scaramouche eyed you closely, letting out a light laugh. "No, my dear Raven. I would rather have them alive. I will deal with them personally. I just want your own judgment on the matter."
You nodded in understanding.
"I've told no one else, so it's just between me and you as always. You should feel honored that I place all of my trust in you. Don't betray it. " Though it's seemed like a threat to your ears, you almost had mistaken it as a plead.
Almost.
You grabbed the door about to take your leave till Scaramouche lightly shut it behind you, whispering. "Also, from now on, do not let yourself be seen changing in or out of your raven form."
You wanted to question the last part, but you closed your mouth out of hesitantance. Scaramouche opened the door for you, "Its getting late, yeah? You had a long day, so get some rest, we have work to do later in the afternoon. "
"Yes, my Lord, have a goodnight."
You walked back to your room and sat yourself on your bed, looking over the list Scaramouche gave you before you left:
Kujou Sara
Yae Miko
Shikanoin Heizou
Kamisato Clan
Sangonomiya Kokomi
Kaedehara Kazhua
To be honest, you thought it'd be much longer. Though you suppose it had to be someone with some sort of close connection to Scaramouche to want to go against him.
Then again, it's not a surprise that someone even wants to go against him. Scaramouche is a powerful king and sorcerer who is hated by all, even his people. Yet, seeing Kujou Sara's name at the top sends some worry in you because if you need to,
You would have to kill her, even if she is your friend.

You're in my dreams (therefore, you're mine)

Your ability to manifest yourself in others' dreams was a tool you often used in your family's line of work. But one day you appeared in a dream of strange man.
Scaramouche x reader [gender neutral but is mentioned in a wedding dress]
Scara Fatui Harbinger era
Soulmate type beat
Made up Lore: Dream Travelers: A rare spiritual ability where one can travel to another's Dream when sleeping [both parties have to be asleep]. They can't control another persons dream only be a part of it and talk to them, which in a way they could if they wanted to, mainuplate the dreamer in order to change the setting of the dream. The only way for the dream traveler to leave the dream is if the host kicks them out or wakes up.
Warnings: Scaramouche, slight yanderish behavior, mention of blood/murder [not too descriptive], obsessive behavior, mainuplation.
♫ Get out of my head. Can't you tell that you're dead, to me? Talk to me instead, till we go to bed ♫
From a young age, you were deemed special and not the Tevyat special where you were bestowed a vision.
No, you had a natural born gift.
The gift of dream traveling.
"It was to be expected," your family said. You came from a strong bloodline of healers, and though you don't have a vision, this gift of dreams within itself can heal.
Working with your mother of very few words, at the age of 8, you'd manifest yourself in many of your mother's patients easing their pains. Helping to turn their nightmares into dreams even if those nightmares frightened you to the core.
You suppose you can thank your mother for your now strong fear tolerance.
You found it such a strange phenomenon as you got older. You could experience so much emotion yet at the same time it all felt like nothing.
Is that even possible?
Maybe these emotions are so overwhelming to point where you become numb to them. You wonder if that's what you wanted.
It's not that you couldn't differentiate whether you felt sad, angry, happy. It's that you couldn't tell if you cared or not.
Regardless, you continued your job as a healer even after your mother died, ultimately taking over the business.
You laughed to yourself, I suppose I do care about one thing, sleep.
A common notion of tiredness mix with stress could always be solved by your bed. After a long day of work, it's something you always look forward to.
Your small cozy room filled with trinkets passed down from your family mixed with gifts from your patients as a token of their gratitude. You dim your light as you submerged yourself in under the blanket.
Your body shivered. It couldn't have been possible for the temperature to drop so low very quickly. And even so, you were covered up. You took a deep breath in, feeling the cold breeze enter in and out of you.
Additionally, your nose picked up a faint scent of... something burning, and the scent only got stronger. That alone was enough to bring you to your senses.
However, when you got up, you noticed you were nowhere in your room, not even close. A snowy forest and from the distance smoke from the fire that alerted your senses.
Are you serious right now? It was a dream one that you knew was definitely not yours. Seems as though that precious sleep of yours is long gone.
You picked yourself up off from the snow, treading your way towards the fire. Your thought process was simply to find the host and make them wake up.
You could tell you were getting closer as you could feel your thoart get more stuffed from the smoke.
A small house, though clearly not much of it. The majority of it has been burned by the fire, leaving very little behind. Your eyes trailed down to find him. Must be the host.
He was on his knees clinging so tight on to the snow, with a doll in his hands. You treaded carefully and calmly towards the man.
As you got closer, you noticed his pale skin along with violet hair, tears pickling down his face, and onto the snow blending in perfectly. The doll in his hand made a strong resemblance to the man, both wearing a white-lavender kimono.
This was obviously a nightmare.
Sighing deeply. You decided it was best to simply wake him up, though as you were about touch the man, a voice behind you spoke.
"Enjoying the show?"
Your head snapped, to be met with the same very man on the ground, expect with a whole different attire, not to mention demeanor. This time, he wore a harsher shade of purple in contrast to his lavender attire. A blant symbol of electro. You made an educated guess that he is Inazuman.
Still, this has never happened before, this would mean this man is very self aware of his dream that he can sense the presence of one's interference regardless of you purpfulosully trying to hide yourself.
"Am I talking to myself?" a very harsh tone of voice immented from the man. Something told you he holds a very high authority.
"Apologies, I did not mean to intrude"
"That's not what I asked, was it" Though you met many different people from variety of personalities, this man had a very intimidating aura with a very limited amount of patience.
"Pardon?"
He stepped closer, and you could hear the snow crunch underneath his foot. You hadn't even realized he was hiding underneath the shadows as he now revealed a veiled hat that compliments his attire.
"Did you. Enjoy the show."
You were stumped. How exactly were you supposed to answer this? From the looks of it, this man seems very difficult to please. With his very little to no patience, you decided the best course of action was to be bluntly honest with him.
"No"
.....
The man simply laughed as though what you said was the most funniest thing. "Oh, please do tell." he was clearly intrigued.
"Well, uh, it's not really a show if I don't know the whole context surrounding this um.. scene?" You treaded carefully with your words.
"Hmm you are quite correct, unfortunately I've been replaying this scene over and over again so I can't do much about your wonderful cristism"
The man walked past you to stand behind his 'past self', your eyes trailing his movements as he went on.
"A dream Traveler very rare indeed, should I consider myself lucky?" He smiled at you as he placed a hand on top his past-self's head.
His smile was erie and did not match his dead eyes. "You see, the scene isn't over. I usually end it off by doing a special something. Are you ready?"
Your breathing stayed calmed as you watched, questioning where exactly he was going with this.
Crack
His body went limp on the snowy ground. His past self's body, that is. And the man only laughed as he stepped on his body as though the past him were a spec of dust.
"Are you done yet" you spoke, causing the man to stop in his tracks.
"Come on, it's not like you have nothing better to do." He exasperated as though he makes a good point.
"You very well seem to know what needs to happen so I can leave, so why are you prolonging my stay?"
"Hmm, because im bored. And you, my little dreamer, are getting quite bold. This is my dream, I suggest you play along"
"Is that supposed to scare me."
"It should"
You groaned in frustration, this man clearly abusing you for his whole entertainment, which still made no complete sense to you.
"Fine, but can you at least try to change the scenery"
"Are you deaf? I have not been able to change this for a long time"
"That's because you haven't let go"
He pondered on your words scoffing at the end, "And what do you know."
"I know that nightmares reflect on our fears, past regrets, our deepest thoughts. When I say let go, I don't mean to forget it. But in a way, see it as a way to grow, use this dream as a strength"
He raised a brow. You deeply sighed, "Let me ask you this, What does this dream.. well memory mean to you?"
You weren't fully expecting him to give you a full-out detail of his life. Opening up is already hard in itself.
Turns out this man, Kunikuzushi, what he told you his name was, was relieving the grief of a child he once traveled with. Unfortunately, the child lost his life due to an illness. Out of anger and grief, Kunikuzushi burned their once home till nothing but ashes remained, even the once doll he held, he eventually threw into the remainder flames.
Of course, your heart swelled at the thought. The last bit of the time you and him had in his mind, he did, in fact, manage to change the dream to the setting of a quiet, dark office. After spilling a secret of himself, you both shared no other words. This was alright, you thought, at least now maybe he won't suffer at night. It would be the last time you see this oh so strange, unpredictable Kunikuzushi.
At least that's what you thought.
You constantly found yourself in this man's dream, night after night. You blamed yourself because after that first encounter, the next day you went to sleep, you found yourself thinking about him. Next thing you know, your right in front of him.
After each encounter with him, he has found a way to invade your thoughts with each impression he left.
"You must be obsessed with me." You started to get to know him more than you'd like, including his overbearing confidence and smug attitude.
"In your dreams.... litterally, " and of course you'd countered his banters, which he seemed to enjoy.. to an extent.
The man didn't like it when you pry into sensitive topics, though after a while since you asked the said question, he'd vaguely answer it, just don't pester him after it.
You found yourself waking up in the morning feeling.. happy? You always spend your nights alone, even your days. Yet, these small moments of simply talking and getting to know him affected you more than you thought.
And you're not sure if you like that thought. I mean, how did you affect him?
It's almost been two months, and just when the thought of talking to him about possibly meeting outside of the dream stopped, when this new setting of his dream appeared for the third time.
Him, drenched in blood not of his own, with lifeless boddies underneath his towering figure.
"You shouldn't get mad at me. This is your doing"
You stood silent. As his voice cracked a little. He hated when you didn't respond.
"You're the one that told me to let go, and so I did. This- This dream isn't a nightmare. It's my future. I've told you last time we were here, people in this stupid wretched world will either be doing two things. Bowing to me or being eradicated from existence. "
Still nothing.
He grabbed you by the waist, and you cringed at the red stains he printed on your clothes. You tilted your head away as you tried to push him away to no avail. You gave up and just decided to stand still, yet you couldn't help but slightly flinched at the feeling of him resting his head on your shoulder.
"Don't you understand?" His voice came up as a whisper. A rise of electricity flowed through your body, giving you chills.
"No," you finally spoke to which you could feel him smiling just at fact you responded back. "You make me think I understand when in reality you like to keep me in the dark of your past. You shine a light of what you think I want to hear"
He tilted your head to meet his, which is now front of yours, his eyes staring deeply into yours. "As though you don't do the same?"
Your silence only proved his point. "We all keep secrets, dear. Don't you see that these dreams -" he laughed to himself "that you keep coming back to, is me opening myself up to you"
"This Darkness you-" he cut you off.
"We all have darkness, I'm just only starting to embrace mine. It's okay, I don't mind holding your darkness for you. After all, you've helped me, haven't you? It's only right I return the favor"
Before you could refuse any of the words he has said, his lips crashed onto yours. It was roughed and forced accompanied by his heavy aura that only seemed to drown you. His soft lips contradict his previous initiation, but he started to slow down his motions, deeping the kiss. The part that sickened you was the fact that you didn't try to pull yourself away. Even the bloody hands that moved to the sides of your face didn't seem to bother you anymore. Your hands clinging to his shirt desperately, what has become of me?
He parted his lips from yours, his eyes clearly wanting to reconnect. "Who are you?" Even with your shaky breath, you managed to ask your question.
Ting of angerness bubbled inside of you at the soft genininue smile he gave as he caressed your face, whipping the tear you didn't realize you have let fall. "I'm yours ofocurse," he laughed at your furrowed brows, "What? Not the answer you wanted to hear, hm?"
You were able to lightly push him out of your grasp. "I will no longer come into your dreams"
He tilted his head in amusement, "Be serious dear"
"I'll make sure of it, Kuni-kuzushi"
He took note of your serious tone, yet as confident as he is stated, how sure he is that you'll be back.
And you did managed to not enter his dreams, distracting yourself with work and your daily errands and when it came to sleep you'd brew some tea with medicnal herbs that put you straight to sleep without having you be able to let your mind wander beforehand.
Yet even so after a few weeks, you eventually slipped up.
You sighed, I guess I couldn't help it. You were standing in front of the mirror, staring at your reflecting.
You were.. wearing a wedding dress? You had to admit it was beautiful.
You were beautiful.
It complimented your body perfectly. A veil covering your face, you couldn't help but slightly blush in embrassement. He must've have imagined of dreaming me in this dress.
Music could be heard from the courier door as you swallowed the built-up saliva from the nerves in your body, building up. Your heels filled the silence as your shaky hands opened the door.
The wedding chapel was ethereal from the decoration to the rich wood. It just didn't par with the suffocation you felt.
The many rows of chairs were empty as you walked down the already petal-ed walkway. You rubbed your arms as you walked closer and closer to the man you could never seem to get rid of.
He, too, was dressed up in a suit. You'd never have thought this would be the next thing you see on him after a while.
It was until you finally stood in front of him that you saw his face. Has he always been this attractive? You've always loved the red eyeliner on the corner of his eyes.
"So you've finally arrived. Usually, I'm a pretty impatient man. Consider yourself lucky that you're you." His eyes traveled down to your body back up to your covered eyes.
"I told you, you'd be back"
He scoffed at your slient treatment. "I saw this dress at an antique shop, and I couldn't help but picture you on it, and as I thought. You look absolutely perfect. Now stop being so stubborn and talk to me. Why else would you be here if you didn't want to?"
He lifted up your veil to see your face more clearly, caressing your face. You grabbed his hand out of reflex.
Your voice came out soft, Kunikuzushi humming to the sound of it, "What do you want from me."
He sighed as though you asked the most stupidest question he had ever heard.
"You make it seem as though you hate me, but yet you want me as well, don't you? At least, I fill that empty void in you. That's why you keep coming back to me isn't? Just face it. You were mine from the start."
He continued. "You need me just as badly I need you. Call it fate-
"- Ah my silly little dreamer, it was just meant to be"
You want to deny everything he has claimed but the words died before it could even reach your thoart.
"You asked me who I am, I'm many things, Kunikuzushi, Scaramouche, The Balladeer-"
He held your hands and has his forehead rested on yours.
"The only identity you need to remember is that I am a God-"
"Your God."

No one is truly Immortal, death finds you one way or another.
It's more the matter of living longer.
Experiencing the growth of the world surrounding you, yet not growing along with it.
Though that statement can be contradicting, as you can grow,
as a person at least.
But even then.... the true meaning of immortality is regretting the day you were born.
Suffering the painful cries of those you've killed.
Failing your comrades while you hide behind a disguise.
Binding yourself and others doing more harm than good.
Pushing your ideals onto others because you cant bear the pain.
It seems that even Immortal beings still make mistakes.
You could almost say, it's a part of them that makes them quite human.
Yet, we humans are the ones seeking guidance from these God's, who might as well be needing guidance themselves.
No matter how many stories you read, whether from a book or a person. Everything has its own "truth".
And the "real" story doesn't exist.
So then...
What does it mean to be a God?
Their eyes bored holes into the letters of the fortune slip. The question repeating in their mind. And with that their siblings words to mind,
"Once you reach the end of your journey as I did, you will see for yourself the true nature of this world"
The Travelers goal was to be reunited with their sibling and return home, but after being separated in this world for too long, things have changed. They have changed.
Now to go across the 7 Nations seeking yet another "truth", motivation and the will power to continue on seems to be slowly dying within themselves.
Carrying out the hopes, dreams, and secrets of others. They want to help people but when coming in contact with their God in hopes of some answers, they ultimately get turned down.
The God's seem to be afraid of the one place with beings higher than themselves.
Celestia,
And they're so called "heavenly principles",
Maybe there, the answer to the fortune slip can be found and the end of the Traveler's journey across Tevyat.
