Httyd live action review

(spoiler warning for those who did not watch)

Okay the How to train your dragon live action movie just came out yesterday so me and my sister went to the movies to see it.

When Dreamworks announced that they were making a live action, I was concerned at first. At that time I was so tired of people making live action films or drama series and Httyd was so perfect that I thought it didn't need a live action movie. But that was before I knew that Gerard Butler (a.k.a the original Voice Actor for Stoick the Vast) was playing Stoick again in the live action. So if the original voice actor from the original series came back again that meant that the actor thought that this movie was worth coming back and that means something. So, we went to the movies and watched it.

It was amazing. They did a fantastic job with this movie. This is a movie that makes you say "This is a live action" and it did the original series justice. All of the actors did a wonderful job with their characters, and they did a really amazing job with the dragons (especially Toothless. He's soooo cute I love him so much) It was as if the characters from the animated series just popped right out of the animation into real life.

It was fun reminiscing the original series and listening to the soundtracks when the credits rolled in (there is a post-credits scene but it's not that important but if you like staying in the theater when the credits roll in I recommend watching it)

Uncle Sam

{Kamala assembles her own team. Hawkeye(Kate Bishop), Stature(Cassie Lang), Billy Kaplan(Wiccan), Tommy Shepherd (Speed). Some time later Sam finds the wayward team full of kids and decides to mentor/recuit them}

(Sam's nephews came to visit the new avengers' HQ)

AJ & Cass: Bye, uncle Sam!

Sam: Bye, kids!

Kate: (sniggers)

Sam: What?

Kate: Nothing.......(tries to hide her laughter but fails terribly)

(A few days later, Sam, Joaquin, Kamala, Kate are fighting aliens in the city)

Kamala: Watch your back, Uncle Sam!

Sam: ......?

(Joaquin silently laughs in the background)

(Another day later in the Avengers' HQ kitchen. Sam is reading a book while drinking coffee with donuts.)

Billy: Hi Uncle Sam. (levitates two donuts from Sam's plate with his magic) Bye Uncle Sam.

Sam: .......?

(Sam is jogging outside when suddenly Tommy speeds past him)

Tommy: On your left, Uncle Sam!

(Sam is both annoyed and tired of this)

(Sam and Bucky are in a interview. The reporter issitting across from them with a recorder in her hand)

Reporter: So Sam, it seems that the young Avengers are calling you 'Uncle Sam'. How did it come to this and what is your response?

Bucky: (sniggering) Uncle Sam?

Sam: (rolls his eyes) Don't you dare start

Me: Where's Harley?

TOA Mermay Au 2025, my Seafolk, loveable giant Leviathan Aaarrrgghh!!!

Ok, so if wasn’t obvious, Aaarrrgghh is inspired by a Archelon, a giant sea turtle. Originally I had him as a type of blue whale, but I did some further exploration and this just fit too well.

Parts of his design are also taken from other reptiles, such as a snapping turtle for his spikes and horns.

Also disclaimer, Aaarrrgghh is actually bigger than his troll self in this Au, due to deep sea gigantism. But due to time and magic his flippers are powerful enough to support himself on land just like Blinky’s.

(Yelena walks toward the Void. The others are confused while Alexei whispers 'I heard of this'.)

Yelena: Hey, big guy. The sun's getting real low.

(Yelena's and the Void's hands meet. The Void turns back to Bob.)

The others: Uhhhhhhh what?

Bob: 😶

Yelena: Okay, Let's go.

(Bob, like a lost puppy, follows Yelena.)
