Hi!! Quick question: we know Bulma was the jealous type when she dated Yamcha, never liking when other girls would fawn over him. So with Vegeta, do you think Bulma ever had jealousy moments of other women looking at her husband? Or do you think she moved past that part of her as she got older

Helloooo I tjdjdjdn think part of the big issue with Yamcha is not only that girls love him (but that’s definitely true) but also that he cannot physically Not be flustered around women he finds attractive, and the combo was probably increasingly a punch in the gut as he got used to Bulma and stopped responding to her that way.

With Vegeta I think djdjdj Well for one I think between him looking Odd to a lot of Earthlings and being a much shorter guy probably confused people who knew Bulma, because he does not at first glance appear to be anything in the ballpark of her type (especially in comparison to Yamcha who is tall and charming and leans much more into Cute/Handsome Rogue territory). I think with just how absolutely serious and mean Vegeta looks in public he gets hit on way less than Yamcha, but I also think he really doesn’t react much to it.

He’s shown that he really doesn’t like being touched or even really approached by people he doesn’t like — and he has zero qualms being rude to men, women, and anything in between or otherwise — so I think subtle flirting behavior from complete strangers would either not land as friendly with him or not garner a response at all.

I love the idea that the first time it happened Bulma was getting tensed and really to get Mad, but Vegeta just. Had Zero response. And I can’t decide in my little hc if it’s funnier for Vegeta to have just have his “Go away. And don’t talk to me again.” Cell Games energy, or if it’s funnier for him to engage in minimal conversation while attempting to behave on Earth and Bulma giving him the passive-aggressive “So you’re just gonna pretend you didn’t know that woman wasn’t flirting with you?” And Vegeta responding with “That woman was flirting? She’s terrible at it.”

Either way I imagine Bulma gets hit with the brick of realization that this man is simply built different on a regular basis.

I also truly feel that if someone, regardless of gender, attempted to pursue him beyond his threshold of comfort — which is Not Large — it would become very dangerous very quickly. By the time they’re married, Bulma might be way more concerned about the safety of people flirting with Vegeta than she is about her relationship.

It will never not crack me up in the ten-year timeskip that Trunks’ reaction to Vegeta casually backhanding a man across an stadium and into a brick wall was “He was lucky, all things considered.”

TLDR I don’t think it takes Bulma long to learn that she is not the one that needs to feel threatened by someone rolling up on her man fjdjd
