I thought i would keep all the posts about Ukraine and russian agression here on my main blog, but there were just SO many, i decided to split it into another blog @ukrocorvid. I`m still gonna reblog a lot of stuff here on my main/art account @artcorvid, since i feel like my art is NOT apolitical and I always knew i would also use my art account to also talk about the situation in Ukraine and ongoing political events. But there was just so much information i wanted to share, i decided to post most of it to the other blog, and only repost the most important stuff here, to not drown everything else out and keep it easier to look find stuff 🐦‍⬛🌒✨ ================================================

Shitting on Russians is as good a reason as any. Truth is, there really are a shit TONN of bots, and there are straight up troll farms in russia (but I feel ai might take like half their jobs in the future, if not already. Poor fucks).

So this theory comes way less from "this specific post/thing/conspiracy comes from bots"

and way more from "if I was a russian troll, I would 100% be do this" and "if Russian bots are spamming shit everywhere all at once, they probably are spamming conspiracy theories cus GOSH is it a fertile ground for запудрити ватнікам і бумерам мізки"

I have one crazy conspiracy theory that I 100% believe in, and it's it's that:

Russia created and spread most of those "flat earth" "lizard people" "harmful vaccines" "fluorite water" "5G" conspiracies (And hundreds of other "trust no one, everything's fake"-type conspiracies) through the sheer amount of bots that they have, on Facebook and other social media. I genuinely believe it's the Russian propaganda machine that started and fueled those "Flat Earth"- type conspiracies, either as an experiment to see how susceptible people are to propaganda, or as a means of making people not trust scientist or anyone around them and start arguing that "Maybe 2+2 isn't 4? Maybe we should question things like that?".

that the "Flat Earth" theory started with two russian trolls betting on a bottle of vodka and a 500 rubles after one of them said:

"I could convince those bitches that the earth is flat if I wanted to!"

And the other said:

"Nah, Vasia. You're drunk. They may be stupid but not that stupid"

And the first said:

"You don't believe me? *hiccups* I'll show ya! I bet my whole next month's salary to you!"

That is my conspiracy theory. That it's Russia who mostly creates crazy conspiracy theories about world control, mind control and distrust... in order to control people, influence their minds and make them distrust everything.

@kithpendragon and now we just wait before he "finds evidence" of Greenland or Canada "oppressing American citizens on their land because of rizing anti-american sentiment or america-phobia" or sum shit. And they are gonna be "left with no other choice" than to "protect those Americans outside of America".

Bonus points if those enemies start "bombing themselves for 8 years" and there is a suspicious "separatist movement" that doesn't get weapons from anyone, cus that's just "their own weapons and uniforms, u know"

Every time I hear about Trump "Making America Great Again", all I can think about is that quote about Putin "Lifting Russia from it's knees" where the joke goes:

Another artwork I made in college and never got to post. Was relevant then about russians... Became relevant for americans now too... a shame Feel free if you wanna copy or share. I don`t care for credit since I count this as some good old political anti-imperialist caricature/propaganda. Though the ones who it portrays, will not be the ones who ever recongnize their reflection.

Number all your sketchbooks like they are Gravity Falls journals, so that when you are famous and dead, people will get obsessed with finding them all.

Bonus points if you skip one number to just fuck with the historians and make their life harder... and so that people keep hunting for that one nonexistent mythical sketchbook.

But seriously, why do we get grown people who believe in the WILDEST conspiracy theories about world control (From Antivaxxers, to Flat Earthers, to microships to evil electromagnetic waves the damn Atlantis and Reptiloids), but the ONE TIME we actually get some dystopian type shit for mass propaganda and controll... they just dont do anything. Like i swear (again), you`d think this would be such a FERTILE ground for the conspiracy fanatics to throw a fit and mass hysteria and DO SOMETHING GOOD FOR ONCE. But nope... they are in fact the ones believing those ai videos and pictures like they are real and reposting them as proof of giants and aliens. If someone started spreading some bullshit like: "The devil is infultrating childrens minds through ai and its evil secret hidden messages boOooOo to put evil spirits in their pineal gland and close their third eye" i would pray for their health honestly... ...Not because i`d think they are insane or anything (they probably are though), but because i`d hope they keep doing whatever they are doing lol...

As well as intense human suffering, Russia’s attack has had a catastrophic effect on the environment. According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), more than 3m hectares of forest have been affected, including 1m hectares in protected areas. Russian troops have dug trenches, felled trees and planted countless mines. Fires caused by shells have increased CO2 emissions. Giant clouds of smoke can be seen billowing next to a 600-mile-long frontline.

Some of this destruction is accidental. But there have also been extraordinary acts of large-scale Russian sabotage. In June 2023 the Russian military blew up the Kakhovka reservoir to thwart a Ukrainian counter-offensive. The explosion released more than 14 cubic kilometres (14tn litres) of water, flooded dozens of settlements downstream and killed at least 35 people. Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said it was a “deliberate and calculated crime”.

The flood killed animals and swept away a fish farm that was trying to restore endangered sturgeon to the Dnipro River. Unique species were lost. In August 2024 there was another ecological disaster when suspected Russian soldiers dumped chemicals from the Russian border village of Tyotkino into the Seym River. The pollution crossed the international border nearby and made its way into Ukraine’s north-eastern Sumy region. The Seym’s ecosystem crashed.

Ukrainians agree that the damage caused by Russia to the environment cannot be easily fixed. Dr Bohdan Vykhor, the executive director of WWF Ukraine, said: “We have lost some parts of nature for ever. It’s impossible to return. It’s objective reality, unfortunately.” Vykhor said it would take many decades and “tremendous effort” to de-mine Ukraine, one of the most densely mined countries in the world. “Until fighting stops, we can’t begin. It’s dangerous,” he said.

The war has destroyed many important habitats for wildlife. Several rare species have suffered, including the red-listed marbled polecat. The Kakhovka flood washed away its breeding areas, Vykhor said, adding: “We can’t say if these creatures still exist in Ukraine.” Meanwhile, Russian soldiers have built military camps on coastal reserves and crucial wetlands used by birds along the Black Sea. The elusive black stork has changed its spring migration route, Vykhor said.
