hey dude, I don’t want to harass you. it seems like one of the biggest problems is that you tagged your posts with jegulus. in general, fandom rule is that you don’t tag anti with the ship tag. most people don’t want to be looking through their favorite tags and come across hate for it. removing the jegulus tag could probably get rid of a few people who are harassing you.

the post was about regulus and james’ relationship. therefore, it was tagged jegulus. i added a trigger warning. they can easily scroll past. and again, most jegulus content is just normalized and glamorized abuse anyway, so why not take it as seriously as it deserves to be?

also, it’s very interesting.

i’ve never once seen jily stans harass a jegulus stan like this for mistagging even though it happens to us way more often and at much more egregious levels. if a jegulus stan is butthurt because they didn’t pay attention to the trigger warning, or they read one singular negative thing about a ship, then maybe they shouldn’t be online. life isn’t about curating everything to fit in your perfect little bubble, that’s not how the world works. and i’m not going to support that kind of delusion by writing about jegulus and then not tagging it.

i’m a james kin. but when i see negative content about james in the tag, i either read it and try to see where they’re coming from, because i can accept that my favorite character has flaws, or i just ignore it and scroll past, or i make a post of my own that simply expresses my opinion on james. without harassing the original poster and sending threats and hatred.

there’s no excuse for this kind of behavior over a COMIC STRIP. especially one that’s incredibly tame as far as sa representation goes.

there was four sentences. and a trigger warning. nothing was shown. it was only implied. i don’t understand why people think i deserve any harassment whatsoever when there’s so much worse out there in the jegulus tag that nobody bats an eye at. oh wait. i do. because that content victimizes or infantilizes regulus. so that makes the abuse okay. the second i shed light onto what could easily be JAMES’ situation, everyone’s up in arms defending their favorite little fascist.

i’m so tired of this. either send asks about doodle james, or don’t send any at all, please. i don’t care about what you perceive to be “fandom etiquette”. my moral code and artistic voice matter much more to me than that.

why is everyone okay with bad things happening in fiction when it’s happening to regulus, or happening to james while jegulus is endgame?

why does it only matter to you guys when regulus is the one doing the bad things, and it’s not being normalized?

my blog is not a hate blog, nor is it a fun game. it’s merely advertised as an ask blog that centers around a badly drawn doodle of james. my art style happens to be cute and simple because i’m not an artist and i can’t draw beyond simple doodles. my artwork can represent anything i want it to represent, including my real life experiences.

all art is a reflection of real life problems. to say it’s wrong to write about real life problems in fiction is absolutely delusional. and that’s not what you’re mad at. all of you haters are pretending that that’s what you’re mad at but it’s not.

those images above have hundreds and hundreds of notes. and all you jegulus shippers and regulus stan’s didn’t bat an eye. you don’t care about anything except for making sure that your precious baby reggie is never portrayed as a bad person. which is simply ridiculous.

i’m tired of getting endless hate for this. i’m sick of this blog turning into people dogpiling me for daring to express my emotions on something that happened to me irl through the art form of a fan-comic.

block me if you’re mad instead of sending harassment. what i’m doing hurts nobody, especially because i put a trigger warning, and my VERY FIRST POST on this blog EXPLICITLY STATES that this is not a jegulus blog. i didn’t trick anyone. i never implied that regulus would be a part of this blog. i only talked about regulus when PEOPLE SENT ASKS about regulus. because regulus stans are incapable of engaging with any marauders content without centering it around regulus and making him the victim of everyone else around him.

so much jegulus content is just normalizing abuse by having regulus straight up abuse james and then it’s framed as being adorable and cute. read: the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th images i sent. the rest of the images are normalizing james abusing regulus, which is even MORE of a problem in this fandom than the former.

what im doing is way LESS harmful because im actually addressing these issues with the seriousness they deserve. this is clearly evidence that you guys do. not. care. about. what. you’re. claiming. to. care. about. so PLEASE stop pretending when all you really give a shit about is a fictional fascist. it’s really upsetting to me, an actual survivor of this stuff in real life who’s just trying to process my trauma through artwork that HAD a trigger warning and CLEAR indications against jegulus. i only tagged it as jegulus because the comic is about james and regulus’ relationship. the same way all of you guys tag jily even though in your fics and stuff, james and lily break up, or lily ends up being a horrible person, etc, etc.

because guess what? their trauma is valid, and it matters. it matters more than the preconceived notions about whether or not someone else is capable of harm or cruelty. so many stories are silenced because the abuser has a reputation and fan base, and said fans refuse to accept that their favorite did something abhorrent to another human being.

if you’re mad about the ship not being jegulus, that’s fine. but don’t accuse me of pretending or making fun of sexual abuse just because you’re mad that i wrote about regulus being an abuser.

my story is very similar to james’. my past abuser is very similar to regulus in personality, attitude, and reputation. god forbid i want to create art that helps me process my trauma.

what really gets me is that if the abuser had been ANYBODY but regulus, you guys wouldn’t have batted an eye. it’s the fact that it was REGULUS. the haters aren’t mad about the sexual abuse. they’re mad about regulus being the abuser.

but survivors don’t choose their abusers.

shame on anybody who tried to make it seem like that was the case.

okay i didn’t want to talk on this blog without it being a doodle, but this assumption is absolutely ridiculous.

i didn’t make that comic just to make light of sexual assault for the purpose of a fictional ship. i wasn’t giggling and kicking my feet while drawing. it was genuinely really difficult for me to make.

if you want to know the truth, my past sexual abuser irl reminds me of regulus, and one reason why i hate regulus and jegulus is because i can relate to the experiences that regulus could and would cause. i don’t talk about it often because it’s my personal business. i shouldn’t have to air out my dirty laundry to write a story about sexual assault that i find to be perfectly respectful.

it isn’t making light of anything. you’re just mad and butthurt because it’s regulus who’s doing it. if it had been any other character assaulting james, you guys wouldn’t bat an eye. it’s the fact that your precious baby death eater blood supremacist did it. and it’s sickening that you’re making such assumptions out of pettiness and hatred when i created this artwork as a coping mechanism from real life horrors that have happened to me. absolutely ridiculous.
