UPDATE: I put in 2k words this week. Finally back to writing after going through 2 pretty hellish weeks of not feeling well mentally and physically. 🤢 Bouncing back feels good and so does getting some clarity in my story again! 📖 I’m getting a better picture here of what the story is supposed to be about. (Get ready for some major culty Easter eggs!!!! 🥚) It’s been evolving for the last 6 years and I also now know that I haven’t done enough research. 🧐 I am allowing myself time to finish at my own pace and I’m not going to rush it. My 90 day goal is still in place! However today was day 45 so I guess we will see what happens! 3 months may turn into 6 for a rough draft. I won’t be mad if the end product it better quality! I mean, I do work more than 40 hours every week. I type constantly for work and my job is highly stressful! Almost done! 🛸Already had two black teas and staying in coffee now. Perhaps I’ll be able to get at least a little revision if done later today. After not writing for a week it’s so hard to get back into it. ☕️ 📖 . I’m trying really hard not to watch anymore television this week even though the show I want to Binge right now is Intervention seasons I haven’t caught up on. Because my book also deals with substance abuse, 🍷 🍸 I have made the excuse of watching in the name of research, but deep down inside I feel the wasted hours are all in vain. . There is also a part of me that believes I am merely tapping into the implications of the end result of my novel will become. Slowly chipping away each day, constantly formulating whenever my mind is free and not occupied by trivial matters stealing my focus. The last bit I wrote was an inciting incident that drained so much energy from me physically and mentally it has cause me the need to regroup and collect my strength to start again. . It almost had the same physiological effects as if it had occurred to me in real life. Simultaneously viewed as a personal tragedy and gain. . How much do we sacrifice in the name of freedom? . Alright kids! Time for me to go back to reading! 🖥❌My attempt to write more distraction free: off the big computer set up and using just the iPad today. 📱⌨️ I have to say that I really am loving the versatility of writing with Google Docs because of the fact that I have so many different devices that I constantly moving from for different uses, areas, parts of my day. It really allows me to pick up exactly where I left off with no added effort whenever the mood strikes.
