#day20 #musicalinspiration Many people know my love for @disturbed ( hence the usertag and gamertag lol), but they also inspire me in many ways. Their lyrics and words often sparking ideas, and their music as a whole making me more determined and not give up especially with some of their more recent work like #reasontofight and #nomore Some lyrics in the Uninvited track fitting very well with my #DemonWarrior WIP where my main character sees creatures around her when she was told they're not there... ""Thought I was rid of you Thought it was over with Thought I was over it... "" & ""Still see you everywhere You're still in every room Filled you with every move" The other band who's music inspires me is @shinedown ,many of their songs incredible and getting me through tough days. Their Monsters track working well with the same WIP. The song that inspired my Demon Warrior story to begin with being sang by Brent Smith from Shinedown alongside Apocalyptica - Not Strong Enough. Depending on the WIP, a few other bands and songs will pop up, but these two are on every list and on every mixed CD I have in my car. UPDATE: I put in 2k words this week. Finally back to writing after going through 2 pretty hellish weeks of not feeling well mentally and physically. 🤢 Bouncing back feels good and so does getting some clarity in my story again! 📖 I’m getting a better picture here of what the story is supposed to be about. (Get ready for some major culty Easter eggs!!!! 🥚) It’s been evolving for the last 6 years and I also now know that I haven’t done enough research. 🧐 I am allowing myself time to finish at my own pace and I’m not going to rush it. My 90 day goal is still in place! However today was day 45 so I guess we will see what happens! 3 months may turn into 6 for a rough draft. I won’t be mad if the end product it better quality! I mean, I do work more than 40 hours every week. I type constantly for work and my job is highly stressful! I’m sorry, I don’t have anything today.” “But Mary’s hungry and we haven’t ate since last night. We won’t be able to tonight—” “I can’t today, Ash. I’m sorry.” The woman’s face fell just as a bundle of hair peeked out from behind her leg, looking avidly up at Cogsworth, little hands gripping at her mother’s leg. “Hi, uncle Evan.” From the corner of her eye, Constance saw the horned man’s head dip just slightly and she could’ve sworn she saw the tick of his mouth, but there was no way to be sure on that without fully looking at him. “Hey, kiddo.” He let out a breath of air and reached into his cloak, pulling out a small bag that jangled with what she assumed was coins. “This is all I have, Ash. Please make it last.” The woman’s face lit up behind her unruly hair, so curled it flitted around her face at even just barely a bob of her head as her hand shot forward, fingers curling around the bag’s neck and drawing it to her. “I always make it last, you know that.” Cogsworth nodded, head slightly bowing to once more look at the little girl. “You being good for your mama then?” The girl nodded fervently and ducked her head behind her mother’s leg once again with a giggle before small feet padded away from them. Ash’s eyes flicked towards the two elves cloaked and back to her brother, bowing her head just slightly before turning. “Tell Pa he needs to stop his inventions, Ash. They are only going to get him in trouble.” Cogsworth shouted, his warning sharp on his tongue.
