Danny was 13 he would turn 14 in a few days and his parents would mark it on the calendar forget and say “next year we promise” again and jazz would buy him a cute mini cake and a new book on the stars like every year but this year was different his parents had just finished the portal it hadn’t worked but it was done and they would pay attention to Danny again like when he was little they would love him again his friends can over and they went to the lab to look at the portal now that it was done Sam dared him to go in so he did he didn’t remember much of it pain and lots of green a voice his screaming he thinks it doesn’t matter.. he woke up in the hospital 4 days later his sister at his side and his friends Sam and Tucker in the waiting room his parents weren’t there they came to fill in the paperwork when his friends had rushed him in not breathing and burned all over his arm was numb the doctor said he might not be able to use it right again that it would tremble and hurt that he would have scars and his heart was weak that it was a miracle he was even alive they gave him medicine told him to be careful about seizures and to remember to go to his therapy his sister checked him out his parents where busy with the portal now that it worked he saw his parents even less now that before between his therapy ghosts and the constant detentions he was getting now his grades where dropping he told his teachers it was just because of the accident…. A few weeks after he died and came back they went to vlad’s castle for a high school reunion and he could tell there was something off with vlad he called him little badger talking about how similar he was to his mother (in this he has red hair and purple eyes like his mom) it was clear he liked her. No then he found out he was a halfa his small comments and little hair ruffles turned into threats and schemes his passing remarks about his dad turned into death threats and making him out as a villain to get phantom in his life, his funding the giw and putting bounty’s on his head turned into kidnapping him and cloning him shipping him to his cabin in the woods with his mom and so much more the fruit loop was obsessed with him wit was weird he put bugs in his room and cameras in his closet the man was his godfather he couldn’t do much about him and it wasn’t like his parents would do anything anyway then vlad dragged him to a gala at Wayne manor and Tim overheard vlad talking about just how similar he was to his mother…

Don’t know how the vlad is still alive thing would work with this bit I love the idea so much

I think I’d be really funny, if Bruce was a reincarnated Vlad.

This is going to be based off of a prompt I saw (I will find you) where Bruce suddenly remembered his past life as Vlad.

HOWEVER, my take on that is the de-aged Ellie and Dan because the amount of ANGST and self hate that Bruce will go through thinking his past self was not only a villain, but also that sort of person?

It will eat him alive.

It will eat that man alive every time he goes to sleep and another burst of memories pass underneath his eyelids.

It burns him when he wakes up with the phantom touch of a body underneath his hands, of a boy just as young as Damian and thinner too, struggling to escape a grip of a man whose hold was too possessive, and too cruel.

It feels like acid swishing down his throat when he wakes with the taste of oily words filled with threat and something more whispered over the form of a boy. A young boy whose blue eyes blazed furiously back and yet tried to hide the quiet bursts of fear underneath.

It feels like Bruce cannot scrub the man he had been right out of him, even when his skin blisters red until it bleeds. Vladimir Masters had woken spitting and screaming, burrowed like a cold sore underneath everything that is Bruce.

Bruce hates it.

Hates the monster he had once been and still is — because despite the fact Vlad is now Bruce, living and breathing and existing here in Gotham — Vladimir Masters still exists.

He is out there right now in a little place called Amity Park, pulling weight and blood just to get what he wants.

A man who has used and abused for far too long…

Perhaps it was time to see to it, that however and whatever way that Bruce came to be, that it began with Vlad’s unfortunate circumstances back into the Ghost Zone.

I head canon Danny as looking just like his mom red hair and purple eyes and jazz looks like jack I’m talking carbon copies of their parents and I think vlad would be so much worse if Danny did look like Maddie like in the show vlad did not care about Danny until he found out he was a halfa in this he would care far more from the start and probably dislike jazz more since she looks like jack and his creepyness would get so so much worse when he found out that Danny was a halfa I could see Danny dying his hair black after bitter reunion to look less like mom all because of vlad’s crush on Maddie

Ok but instead of it just not effecting him as Billy what if when he loses a limb or gets injured it leaves scars like there’s just scars there no injuries when he turns back and now he has so many scars on all his limbs gnarly ones too all over his body drone all his injuries as cap

The Justice league is fighting some monsters, then one of said monsters proceeds to rip off Captain marvels left arm mid-fight.

He doesn’t notice and keeps fighting, somehow not realizing he’s missing a goddamn arm. The Justice league on the other hand, are mortified.

After the fight, someone (maybe flash?) runs up to him panicking, asking him how he’s not freaking out and in pain. Batman states he is probably running on adrenaline right now, and to stay calm.

Billy is looking around, trying to find out what the problem was.

Oh, his arm!

Billy calmly walks over where his arm is, picks it up.

*plop*

Billy adjusts his arm, before giving the league a thumbs up. He explains that this…feature was because a past champion was killed after getting ripped to shreds.

Needless to say, they started checking him for nerve damage after that.

So through a series of captain marvel never taking breaks, never going out with the rest of the jl and constantly covering others monitor duties. As well as many lies and half truths about himself to keep his childness secret the jl come to incorrect conclusion that marvel has been around for hundreds of years and has never taken a break he’s said before he was made to never need sleep or food and water and has explained that the gods that made him (he was talking about his marvel form) can talk to him telepathically and never shut up so they start trying to get him to do thing with them and giving him food since they think he’s never had food before and Billy’s just like “my friends are so nice”:) whilst the jl is all ansty about their friend working nonstop for hundreds of years mediating with the gods

I like the idea that a few frames are just messed up words scattered around bits that are stained green accidental Morse code in the music that says something like “he is not real we are not here you have to move on” Cesar Cyphers and all the jazz from the beginning because Danny was dumb so now the lore looks like Danny’s life with pigs and chickens instead of him and his friends 

Danny makes a hand drawn and animated YouTube series that accidentally gets seen as some kind of arg. He had to redraw a few frames due to his dad accidentally messing something up. Tim is going nuts trying to solve the mystery of a show about a group of animals.

When you said hand drawn my mind went to traditional art, and I don’t know if that’s what you meant but I’m rolling with that in honor of this Dannymay day.

Once Danny finds out that people thinks it’s an ARG, he doubles down into that, including splotches of ectoplasm into a few frames, drawing ghosts of characters into others, making up so much lore on the spot. He even has the word “Amity” scattered about, in reference to Amity Park.

Tim has been spending his free time trying to solve this because it has gripped him by the throat and he needed to solve it. He eventually gets the other Batfam on board with him.

What if Tim never learns he’s not dead when at the farm. Tim wakes up from his dream( was it a dream,? Afterlife) he looks over and sees Peter who.. looks worried? He looks around it’s an apartment with vaguely medical stuff and a iv drip in his arm “ Peter the farm was nice” he says “ Danny was really nice to” he’s a little delirious( it’s from the portal but he thinks it’s from coming back) and Peter hugs him really hugs him like he matters and he can’t help but think that they really are triplets the next day he goes back to Wayne manor and gives Bruce the basics he leaves out the whole dying and coming back he doesn’t want to worry Bruce. Bruce thinks red hood took him to make sure he didn’t die since they were being erratic and brutish. Tim’s vegetarian now and keeps looking for info on recent events in the loa and saying he’s sorry Bruce never got to meet him (whoever that is)when they call Talia she says there was a attack and that Damian is with Jason and Danny that she wanted to have him meet Damian on his 10th birthday but it went wrong 2 weeks before they use their greatest detective skills to figure out that Tim was so reserved about what happened only saying hood gave him to much tranquilizer because he low-key died and came back and that he’s being reckless now because he wants to go back and they collectively cry and start showering Tim with love Jason thinks they just missed him. also it would be fun if the bats thought all this people who where taken to the farm town are dead as well because of some major rouge attack of something and Tim talking about them only confirms their suspicions so they get really protective of Tim and he’s trying to be reckless and they fight or Tim sneaks out because they won’t let him patrol and gets knocked out cold blood everywhere he got ecto contaminated by just being around Danny and Jason and Damian plus the portal so he gets knocked out and is soul projecting and he thinks he’s dead for real this time and Danny and Jason freak when he says this like what you just went back which he takes as them being sad because he barely lived after his last visit he spends like a few minutes with them before the bats use the defibrillator and get his soul back he visits whenever Jason takes him via portal or he astral projects when he gets seriously injured and he doesn’t realize that everyone is alive till Damian is live 15 and he notices that he’s aging and he’s live so you age in the afterlife Damian takes this as him just being surprised by his growth and says yes he uses the afterlife theory to see if Bruce is dead when he gets lost in the time stream and knows he’s not since he’s not there

Danny running away from his home dimension for such and such reasons (GIW, bad reveal, etc, etc) cue him stumbling around Gotham because holy mother of ambient ectoplasm, Batman.

So anyways he’s just chilling in crime alley, as a struggling guy in Gotham does and then. And then there’s someone else. Looks exactly like him. Not like how he and Dani look similar, her features just softer and rounded with babyfat, no, no, this guy looks exactly like him. Down to the barely there scattering of freckles on the nose bridge.

It’s Jason Todd. Danny is his dimensions version of Jason Todd.

I want a story about a king whose son is prophesied to kill him so the king is like “whatever what am I supposed to do, kill my own kid wtf is wrong with you” so he just raises him as normal, doesn’t even tell him about the prophecy, and instead of some convoluted twist of events that leads to the king’s murder the son grows up and when the king is very old and dying and in excruciating pain the kid is just like alright I'mma put him out of his misery.

I love dp x DC stories in which Ghost King Danny is summoned in his full Eldritch form and scaring the shit out of everyone. I also like it when it combines with aus of him talking in ghost speak and the translation gets wrangled, so he sounds a lot more threatening than he means to.

But in those stories ... his name doesn't really fit. What Eldritch God would be called Danny? Even Phantom isn't that scary.

Then I realized that if ghost speak gets translates wrongly and Danny said his name in ghost speak ... wouldn't it be translated wrong too?

And Daniel means God is my Judge in Hebrew while Phantom of course is a kind of ghost.

So,

The Justice League has summoned Danny and he doesn't realize that he's in his Eldritch form. His skin is black and filled with galaxies constantly being born and dying. His eyes are two endless black holes. His hair is the flash of the big bang. He's terrifying and awe-inspiring.

As he speaks, it sounds like millions of beings screaming in agony before breathing their last breath.

And then Danny says "Hi! My name is Danny Phantom, the Ghost King, how can I help you?"

But what the JL hears through the translation is: "I am the Judge of Gods and the restless Dead, Ruler of the Infinite, for what purpose hath thee summoned me?"

Now that's a fitting name!
