OH MY GOD SHES PISSED ME OFF. she just yelled at Clark for not forgiving Whitney for stringing him up as the scarecrow and then played the “you know what he’s going through how could you” card as if she wasn’t about to CHEAT ON WHITNEY LAST EPISODE. Like girl the only reason YOU know what Whitney is going through is because Clark told you to talk to Whitney instead of cheat on him. I did not expect to dislike Lana this much but here I am and I’m only in season 1 lmaoooooo

Update from my smallville update:

Lowkey Lana is annoying me this time through. Like she has this very innocent energy which is fine except she is chomping at the bit to be with Clark but won’t break up with Whitney?? And whitney is upset about her and Clark and rightfully so, she went to his loft to make out. And the only reason it didn’t happen is because Clark was like hmm maybe this isn’t cool. It’s just for the character that is supposed to be innocent and good she certainly is willing to cheat on her bf. I feel like that comes down to the lack of agency her character has. Like if Clark wants her then she will be with Clark. But it’s not her decision. So many things happen to her but she doesn’t necessarily do anything. It’s so frustrating.

His chemistry with Michael Rosenbaum (Lex) is incredible they both really understood the assignment

Completely forgot Amy Adams is in smallville and dear lord the y2k body standards are in full swing with her story line. Like they have her in a “fat suit” and yet she still isn’t overweight by any means??? She just has a double chin???

I’m starting my rewatch of smallville so my thoughts on the pilot below:

First of all give the young Lana actress her Emmy her crying face elevated this cold open

being anti ai is making me feel like in going insane. "you asked for thoughts about your characters backstory and i put it into chat gpt for ideas". studies have proven its making people dumber. "i asked ai to generate this meal plan". its causing water shortages where its data centers are built. "ill generate some pictures for the dnd campaign". its spreading misinformation. "meta, generate an image of this guy doing something stupid". its trained off stolen images, writing, video, audio. "i was talking with my snapchat ai-" theres no way to verify what its doing with the information it collects. "youtube is impletmenting ai based age verification". my work has an entire graphics media department and has still put ai generated motivational posters up everywhere. ai playlists. ai facial verification. google ai microsoft ai meta ai snapchat ai. everyone treats it as a novelty. every treats it as a mandatory part of life. am i the only one who sees it? am i paranoid? am i going insane? jesus fucking christ. if i have to hear one more "well at least-" "but it does-" "but you can-" im about to lose it. i shouldnt have to jump through hoops to avoid the evil machine. have you no principles? no goddamn spine? am i the weird one here?

Now that I’m seeing more people watching smallville I cannot stress to you how down bad I was for Tess Mercer and Lois Lane. Like dear god I wanted them to curb stomp me. Like Clark and Oliver were beautiful for sure, but much like Clark, I will fall in love with a woman who bullies me yes I will don’t even try to stop me

The best part about the Superman movie bringing a resurgence of interest in Superman is that finally people are talking about smallville. That show slapped. It was corny as hell but damn if it didn’t hit. Thank you to everyone putting some respect on tom wellings name because he is my Clark Kent until I die. My 14 year old self is healing
