amped and wired is going on hiatus for a bit
i’ve been thinking about this for a few days and it’s time to announce it.
i’m not necessarily burnt out on this comic (it saved my life) but i’ve just been itching to do more art outside of it, though. add to this, the support here on tumblr has been so abysmal that it’s admittedly discouraging - ao3 is a different story, the support over there has just been incredible. i don’t know if it’s the lingering dislike towards me or if it’s the fact my art is so... weird that it’s not palatable, but i look at the posts and the notes and i think “why.”
it won’t be for very long, i promise: i just have to back up from it for a little bit to gather my bearings and return to it with a fresh perspective because aside from the above, the last few parts felt like i was having to do it out of obligation rather than do it because i wanted to.

i got a new chair for myself 💜
well, new to me, anyways.
my drawing desk came with a little stool but the seat part was too small for my big butt so it got pretty painful to sit on after a while (it had no backing, either so I was always having to sit upright, which got hard when i’d be drawing either on my laptop or at my desk—and writing, too). so i lugged an old straight up chair from the living room which was a little better—i could lean back, which came in handy when i switched to digital, but until recently, that started hurting me. the rigid wooden frame got hard on my hips and i found myself slouching while drawing the first act of amped and wired, especially (one of the reasons it often takes me a few days to make panels—aside from it being so consuming, it just got hard on my back).
so after she got a new one for herself, my mom gave me her desk chair, which swivels and pivots so i’m comfy now.
and i’m eager to make more of the webcomic for you guys! 💜

okay.
it’s been a few days.
i’m writing up a new chapter of fever in, fever out at the moment and once i hit my 2k, i’ll draw up a couple of panels for the webcomic (this chapter just has a lot of panoramic city shots, particularly this upcoming section here).
