JYP finally had a girl group where the majority of them could sing (onces and midzys look away for a sec) and he gives them that for their debut. We need to stop calling 4th gen music “experimental” to excuse the fact that it’s actually just shit music.

tbh i think jyp didnt have a clear idea of what to do with this group (just like twice in the beginning) and just decided to follow suit cb with the current trend of noisy music by giving them a walmart version of next level/loona/itzy, instead of trying to do something new and looking at what actually suited the group and giving them their own identity 🙁 like u call the group a vocal powerhouse and give them itzy rejects instead of thinking what could complement the members pls….

and jyp is just not very good with noise music so idk what they were thinking….they got very lucky with itzy (and imo it worked bcs itzy are such amazing dancers with such strong charisma) but jyp just cannot pull it off like they dont have the vision imo …. bcs experimental songs can be good! but they need to be done right. someone needs to tell jyp theyre not sm entertainment im serious

i loved the verses but the chorus imo was not for me....i just did not like the drop. But the verses had a nice melody as well as the bridge with rose high note. I think this was some of the best lyrics from her and bp in general tbh. pretty well written especially for rose first time although a little generic at times the gold turn to plastic line was cool

ALSO she sang rlt high at the bridge! i think she flipped to head once she got to the F5 which makes sense but her high notes have gotten rly good
