the night was cold, but regulus wasn't wearing anything over his shirt, barty hated when he does that.

he was watching him, over regulus shoulders, his hair was messy because of the strong wind, his grey eyes were focused on the stars.

barty knew exactly where to find regulus, the astronomy tower was like his scape space.

regulus turn to see barty standing, watching him with a soft smile.

-hey, what are you doing here? — regulus asked with some confusion.

-just looking for you — honesty came out of those words.

regulus smile at him and told him with a sign to come next to him, barty did.

-are you okay? - regulus knows something it's off with barty, he normally let him alone at this moment and he stays with evan in the dorm room, but now he chose to be here.

-just a long day, i wanted to be alone with you, just for a little bit of peace — he puts his head on regulus shoulder. — also rosier was being a totally asshole, he keeps complaining that i spend too much time with you and that i always leave him.

regulus laugh at this, thinking how cute barty could be when he is comfortable. now he is just watching him, exploring his eyes and some details that for some reason he never saw before, like the little freckles above his cheekbones, extending to the beginning of his eyes.

they are standing there, together, regulus gets close and he puts his hands on barty's cheek, he smiles and stands on his tiptoes, brushes his nose against barty's, and joins their lips in a soft and slow kiss, enjoying every second, thinking how lucky he is, to have found the most beautiful person to love, who is the same who loves him, in the purest way possible.

Barty is loud and restless, he doesn't mind what people think of him.

Regulus is calm and quiet, he was taught to be respected, and behave in front of people.

Nobody will think that in the late hours of the night, they will be in the astronomy tower, laughing and kissing, telling each other their deepest secrets.

In the great hall, Barty can't take his eyes away from Regulus, that makes Reg uncomfortable, people will notice, but after a few weeks, they start sharing little smiles and flirty looks.

Months after Regulus agreed to show the school, so they start holding their hands on the hallways, and kiss on the weekends in hogsmeade.

Regulus was happy and safe with Barty.

Barty was more than happy to be with the boy he loved for years now.

Because after all, Barty fell first, but Regulus fell harder.
