Can someone please tell me if misvil gets more plot?? Or is it purely character focused? Bc I’m on ch 40 and so far there are only 3 relevant characters and I want to know if the conflicts are just between them or if there is a bigger plot that will happen. I really like the characters but the story feels a bit like it’s going nowhere yet. Idk I don’t want to be too harsh but I need some motivation to continue 😔

This is indeed a flex...until your thumb stops working from too much strain and then you use your index finger to tap tap and now your ENTIRE arm and neck is hurting painfully...

My right arm is 75% out of commission as we speak and I can't even hold my damn toothbrush properly anymore hahahaha

I will have to give it a rest and read, or watch some tv shows or movies for now...

*sigh*

I'm slowly figuring out that my biggest flex as a fanfiction writer/writer in general is that I do EVERYTHING on my phone. Every 3k word chapter? On my phone. Every elaborate chart (that you don't see most of time)? On my phone. Paragraphs and paragraphs of world building? On. My. Phone.

I used to love creative writing at school and even won a ton of certificates and awards. I just want to bring back the joy of it as an adult and improve my writing skills, working towards the tiny flickering dream of publishing a book one day that I buried a long time ago hehe

Need your opinion dear fic writers and readers...

I'm a beginner writer on AO3 and posted my first multi chapter series for a fandom I love 3 weeks ago. So far I've posted 4 out of 20 chapters and have a total word count of 10,413.

But I hardly get any comments with feedback and honestly its so discouraging. I find it difficult to push myself to finish the story even :(

I can see people like it, I received 31 kudos and 31 subscriptions and 15 bookmarks within these 3 weeks. Is this a good number to have? Should I keep writing? I honestly don't know. Maybe my stories are just that bad and I should stick to reading.

I always loved commenting as a reader and it is always such a thrill when the author replies. I wish people commented more.

Oh christ almighty, have we all lived with the same mom or what 😵

Mine was the same, but the tupperware shenanigans also extended into umbrellas ☂️

I once lost an umbrella on a RAINY day at school and had genuine fear run through my veins! When school was over and we had to go home, my friends offered me their umbrellas but I didn't wanna face my mom, so I refused & stayed put.

I don't know what my plan was 😂 I think I wanted to live there forever at the time lol

Anyway one of my friends eventually got me to go home with her umbrella. It was LATE by then!

While I was walking home, quaking in fear and nerves, I saw my mom waiting by the road with an umbrella, her face filled with worry 🥺

I think I sobbed, "Mom I lost my umbrellaaaaa"

She just smiled and took me home. Didn't scold me one bit. I will never forget that day hahaha

the only thing that angers a mexican mom than you losing a tupperware is letting it grow mold

This unearthed the tiny checkbox I had on a decades old mental to-do-list, reminding me to read Percy Jackson. As a sucker for everything greek, I cannot believe I haven't read it yet...

And you're so right...I think the happiest I've ever been, while reading, was when I read children's books, specially the Wishing Chair Adventures and The Enchanted Forest by Enid Blyton. I really need to go back and enjoy these classics.
