Not to be a baby and complain on the big internet but something about this post irritates me. Maybe it’s the wording? “What’s the female equivalent to men playing Call of Duty?” I don’t know… playing Call of Duty???

I really dislike how this reinforces the stereotype of gendered video games. Yknow, the one that’s like “CoD, RDR2, and SSBU are games for BOYS while Sims, Animal Crossing, and Stardew Valley are for GIRLS”. It belittles women, and makes it seem as though they are incapable of handling intense, high-stakes scenarios. I really wish more people understood that there’s nothing wrong or shameful about enjoying “men’s” games as a woman, and that it doesn’t take away from your femininity.

Of course, there’s nothin wrong with enjoying low-stakes, relaxing games either! Playing New Leaf with a cup of hot chocolate around Christmas time is literally one of my favorite activities. Idk. I’m sure u get what I mean aaand I’m honestly probably thinking too hard about this.

Kind of unrelated, but I hate when people refer to women as “females”. “A woman is a person, a female is a lab specimen. Words have context. It’s dehumanizing” (U/KDY ISD, 2023).

A thing about the interpretations of Fedya’s character I’ll truly never get over.

In the 1991 adaptation of «Князь Серебряный» we see this little silly hyper queer dude. By ‘hyper queer’ I mean it, like, that’s really a lot for the general Russian public even nowadays

He’s kinda too feminine for those times & is not secret about that at all, even getting dissed by other characters for that (bruh 😭 you guys are just petty and jealous)

And then. Then we have this Soviet gigachad

He’s a warrior. An oprichnick, a professional assassin with no mercy, one of the many of Ivan’s loyal hounds

One would not easily call this interpretation openly queer, but just you look at those heart emoji eyes, when he sees Ivan irl

And their relationship in general just feels more… Genuine. Not too much, not too little, it just hits REALLY different and oh boy, do I love that
