I don't know if I would say this anymore but for years I would say that Chibiusa was my favourite Sailor Moon character.

As such I have had a lot of responses to that, some I respect and some I don't. Indeed most I respect. "You never saw the dub" is indeed an accurate understanding of my watching habits in fact. I also respect complaints about her voice in said dub. Apparently the viz dub is nowhere near as bad, but that doesn't change that for years people only had a dub where her voice was apparently really really really annoying. I can 100% see why that would put people off a character that I like.

That said it does bother me that some people want me to hear the annoying voice. No. I don't want to hear a voice so bad that it makes her touching story of fear and loneliness madly annoying. (For those who don't know the first and annoying voice only covers R.) That sounds like the opposite of fun. What am I supposed to get out of that?

I have also been shown Project C.U.R.E which honestly looked like a fun website. I never got the impression that it wanted to change anyone's mind so much as let off steam which is honestly fair enough.

I sometimes feel like the way that people talk about her relationship with Mamoru crosses the line. Chibiusa has no feelings but there's enough real world implications that you should be careful there. Complain about the way the show handled it sure but don't harm real people.

However I have had a lot of great reactions over time and she is still adorable, funny and interesting.

My mom gave my some great writing advice and I want to share with y'all. (She gives the best advice. I love you Mama!🥰)

Basically it's this. When writing a story, you may be worried about plot holes, quirks, and other imperfections. But the things is, no story is absolutely perfect. All of them have a little something. Something that doesn't quite fit. A plot hole or two. Even Star Trek has plot holes! (Like where the heck Earth is?) But a good story is a good story. What's most important is that, it's fun to read and to write. A little problem here and there won't take away from the experience if it's good. So go easy on yourself! Not everything needs to be explained. Just write. Enjoy yourself. If you can find a way to fix a plot hole, great! If not, that okay too. Maybe you'll figure it out later. Maybe you won't and you'll try something different. Or maybe it's not all that important and it can be left alone. Just don't stress.
