For the past year or so i have been struggling with the realization that what i thought i wanted to do with my life was making me incredibly unhappy. Part of that was because i refused to be honest with myself. But now i understand that when you are doing what you truly love it gives you energy instead of draining it from you. Writing gives me energy and makes me happier than anything else in my life right now. Maybe it won’t be that way forever, but for now i know this is what i want to pursue. I’ve been working on a fantasy novel for over a year now, but my work schedule (at a job that i not only hate, but has been severely exacerbating my mental health issues) has made it impossible to make progress. My goal is to have the first draft finished by the end of year, but i need help. I have to cut back my work hours to make time for writing. I hate asking for money. But i will do whatever it takes to make this possible. Anything you can give is immensely appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. And never be afraid to follow your dreams, even if they want you to take a very scary jump.
