Thinking I need to write fan fiction again. I had one for Dragon Age I kind of abandoned, maybe I should vent my hyperfocus of MHA into a fan fiction even though I'm on the second season.

Just a psa for fic writers who use the “trauma bond” tag, please make sure you’re using it correctly. A trauma bond is not two people who experience similar trauma and bond over it. It’s a carefully curated, manipulative bond between abuser and victim to keep the victim coming back because of the addictive highs and lows that come with abuse.

If you want to tag two characters bonding over shared trauma, a good substitute tag would be “bonding over shared trauma.” Trauma bonding is, by definition, an abusive relationship and may steer people who have experienced it away from your fic. Please spread the word and happy writing!

Coming back to Tumblr has been a Trip because 90% of my home page is either the cursed creators I loved in the past (such as @biggest-gaudiest-patronuses @badjokesbyjeff) or BatFam fandom shenanigans (which was what I was into 3 years ago in spite of not being a batman fan??)

And the other 10% is ads.

Hey. International people.

Keep calling it the Gulf of Mexico or whatever your term is for it. Do not allow the Republican regime to label that body of water the Gulf of America to the world. The name came from a the term Mexica, what the Aztecs called themselves. It’s been called the Gulf of Mexico since the 1600s.

Keep calling it Mount Denali. The original name before it was Mount McKinley. Don’t let the First Nations be erased.

It may sound stupid and petty. But it is an attempt to rewrite history and make us forget the origins. It is a literal white washing of history. This type of censorship is a beginning to greater evils.

A list of a few of my My Hero Academia OCs and their descriptions/ships, in no particular order. Not describing their backstories, (cause that's a whole other post with many trigger warnings) just their physical features and quirks.

Ryuji: 1-A student. Mutated dragon man, 8 feet tall with darkish skin and dark ruby scales. Has long red hair and black horns coming out of the sides of his skull like a ram's. Has almond shaped violet eyes. His quirk allows him to absorb fire through his scales and breathe it out like a dragon. Always ends up shipped with Katsuki Bakugo.

Satoshi Hasegawa: 1-A student. FTM trans, no surgeries or hormones. Often gets in trouble wearing his binder too long. Long blue-black hair, yellow eyes, pointed face, and wears glasses. His quirk I just call Evade, he can propel his body up to 10 feet away (at the beginning of the series) in any direction he so chooses, provided some part of his body is touching a solid surface. Kind of mischievous, but in a fun way. Shipped with Tenya Iida.

Ritsuka: 1-A student. Sad cat boy. Short for his age at 4'11, with long black hair, green cat eyes, and tufts of fur on his body in odd places. Also has cat ears and tail. He has two quirks; one is a personal inventory like in a video game where he can summon and dismiss items to. The other is that he can turn into a cat, but only when he's severely weakened (starving, tired, ill, etc.) Doesn't have a ship, yet (might make him aro/ace? Unsure yet)

Misaki: Pro hero, named Defibrillator. Doesn't have a physical description yet (honestly I keep imagining her looking like Bianca in Clinic of Horrors). Quirk is using electricity that she shoots from her hands, which can be used as a taser, or to heal people (very painfully). Usually shipped with either Hawks or Dabi.

Juushiro Madarame: 1-A student. Is honestly just a power fantasy character I made to cope with the shitstorm that is America right now so is severely overpowered. Long black hair with purple streaks, bright blue eyes, and pale skin with dark freckles. (Ties with Ryuji in terms of tragic backstory I think) Quirk is called Gamer, where he interacts with the world around him much like if he was in a VRMMO. Complete with gaining skills and abilities depending on how he trains and interacts with the world around him. (In some AUs he can swap 'profiles' but the profiles are basically DnD character sheets.) Doesn't have a ship, but ends up getting adopted by EraserMic.
