This past Monday, it was reported that #StanLee, the one who helped realize many @Marvel characters such as #SpiderMan, #CaptainAmerica, #IronMan, #Thor, #DoctorStrange, #BlackPanther, and #Daredevil, as well as teams such as the #Avengers, #XMen, and #FantasticFour (with both being just a select few of a very large list), has passed. Although he created a great many characters and teams, all geared towards telling grand stories, my interest where Mr. Lee was concerned was in something far more grounded when the #MarvelCinematicUniverse started to take shape. He created an organization that helped bring an ongoing intelligence presence to #Marvel #Comics, and would eventually be known in the #MCU as the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division, or #SHIELD. It was an organization that placed protection as its guiding cornerstone principle - a principle that agents like Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, Phil Coulson, Melinda May, Daisy Johnson, Leo Fitz, Jemma Simmons, Alphonso Mackenzie, Elena Rodriquez, Bobbi Morse, Lance Hunter, Victoria Hand, Jeffrey Mace, and Antione Triplett (among others) defended not only in the comics, but during the broadcast history of @AgentsofSHIELD, the current television series based on that very organization. Through the show, I forged new friendships, and by doing so, SHIELD has added to my life. Inspired by @matorithesecretary, with a SHIELD badge and a shot of #peachschnapps - here is my tribute to Agents of SHIELD’s #ASpysGoodbye when Morse and Hunter were burned - a bittersweet yet appropriate tribute to the man who created SHIELD all those years ago. He helped to create not only superheroes that changed and elevated the narrative, but heroes that were willing to combat threats primarily through wits, intelligence, technology, teamwork, and sacrifice - serving when all else fails, and being humanity's last line of defense - to #BeTheSHIELD - all in the name of protecting one another. A friendly tip for #NationalChocolateDay: Whenever possible, have an emergency source of #chocolate nearby, whether it be a #candybar (like @milka.world), something smaller (like @mmschocolate), or even the hot version in a cup (@landolakesktchn specialty versions have saved me so many times). Even if it's just one serving, it could probably save your sanity on occasion. For the 2018 edition of #WorldPastaDay, I’m throwing it back to a few weeks ago where some of my colleagues and I went to after Cleveland Comic Con: a nearby place called Two Bucks. I ordered the #Lobster #MacandCheese: a most interestingly presented dish which was very balanced with respect to taste, yet not overwhelming with respect to portions, so you won’t necessarily hate yourself later.
