Watched Occult for the first time today and I love that legendary horror director Kiyoshi Kurosawa just shows up as himself for like 5 min an hour into this found footage movie to talk about some cool rocks. Perfect decision. No notes. Like it would've been so good without that but Shiraishi was just like "Nah, we need our target audience to piss their pants with excitement."

Still getting likes on that V/H/S/Beyond post so I thought I'd follow up and say I really liked it! Might be my 3rd favorite? I was a bit underwhelmed by Dream Girl, but Fur Babies was right up my alley and I was absolutely floored by Stowaway. The other segments were cool for the record, but I really hope Kate Siegel's directorial career keeps going this strong and that Alanah Pearce starts getting more mainstream roles.

Guys listen... I know there are found footage vampire movies. But if you're using The Demeter as a frame of reference the closest thing to a found footage Dracula movie is totally the ship scene in Morbius right? Like the security camera parts?
