I've seen three types of people when it comes to headcanoning the moment when Spamton developed his speech quirk. It's either 1: He's always had it and tried his best to hide it, especially during the big-shot era, and it acts as a sort of vocal tic, 2: He's developed it progressively during/towards the end of the big-shot era and was somewhat caused by his phone friend, or 3: He's gotten it after the end of the big-shot era and, for those who like this headcanon (not me but I respect it), it may have been caused by the dip in the mansion's acid pool.

I like the 2nd and 3rd a lot personally. I used to be a 3rd truther ngl but the more i see the 2nd portrayed in fan work the more it grows on me.

Please please please tell me if you have a secret 4th headcanon about it, I love hearing about them.

Idfk about y'all but the Salt route still makes me so fucking insane

Like it was just someone's weird deltarune dream, just like prunsel actually, but then I'm seeing old comics about it I just die inside. It's like a way to show that the people really like Spamton and are willing to make him go through crazy shit and dissect his brain and break his soul for the sake of getting to know him better, just like people often analyse the Snowgrave route in the same way (at least I've seen some stuff about it) and I'm so damn mad that we haven't stuck to the concept more

Imagine, just IMAGINE, what post Salt route chapter 3 would be like, I M A G I N E

(I'm mainly thinking about it to think about Tenna and Spamton and how Tenna would react if he learned what happened during the Salt route and it makes me SICK)
