Back with more redesigning for my S6 Rewrite :)

I'm not surprised Stella's was the 2nd to be completed because her first draft (below the cut) was the one I felt was the 2nd closest to completion after Tecna.

Unlike Tecna, I literally pulled out pictures of her Bloomix, Magic Winx and Enchantix (alongside the first first draft of her transformation from like 2022/23) to get the vibes I was planning to hit and I think it worked out perfectly :)

Especially proud of the little band things at her chest. I wanted to give her pigtails but couldn't really get it to nail the vibe I was going for so I just gave her a high pony tail instead.

Also in the process of doing this design, I quite badly wanted to give her some cloak / translucent cloth like on her Bloomix but struggled finding a good placement that also wouldn't restrict / hinder movement. I eventually came to the compromise of having it be a mini cape for her, which I imagine can be pretty good for diversions because it looks like her wings, especially if she's just used a blinding spell or something of that sorts.

Anyway, 1st draft of her design below the cut + some thoughts while doing that design

I wanted to incorporate more moon elements in her outfit hence the more blue-ish purple colour scheme. But I think that caused problems for the skirt because I for the life of me could not find a colour that was going to go nicely with the current colours. So I scrapped that colour scheme and stuck to the orange-yellow-cyan that's pretty predominant in her outfits.

That and also I felt that this wasn't really hitting the magical girl vibes, especially the vibes that Stella gives when transformed. To which I partly blame the corset(?) that I gave her. That part just looks out of whack now that I'm relooking at it

Though I did keep the tiny crescent moons on her boots as a tiny lil homage to her moon powers, though they might be a bit hard to see cuz of all the yellows.

So I opened Ao3 to see this comment on one of my fics. And i just can't stop laughing because out of every fic you choose to comment this on, you comment this on the CHAT FIC. Yk, the one that's purely for the shits and giggles, no real story outside of tiny arcs.

I know this is very likely a bot account (since it was posted by a guest) but I think its just fucking hilarious that it's on the chat fic.

I also got another one which is just so funny imo

btw, I've never seen either of these two guests comment on this fic or any of my other fics before so I'm like 99% sure it's bots

Lately been spending my time (that is not spent on suffering in Maths) revamping the old designs I had for my S6 rewrite's version of Bloomix, in which I fully leaned into the warrior aspect of Bloomix (which, btw, is unnamed as of right now. I haven't thought of a good name yet.)

Progress is being made, just slow, because I'm trying to find the balance between making the outfits look like legit things they could wear in a fight while not losing the magical girl element of it.

For technically being the fifth person I drafted a design for, she's the first I've really gone "yeah, that's solid.". I wanted to bring in some inspiration from her Bloomix, specifically with the colour scheme because I really liked the blue they used for her. But I couldn't really get it to go for me so I just stuck with a more muted purple + lime green. Also she gets her older hairstyle back because yes, I ain't getting rid of it, it's too good.

We'll see how this design holds up to me a few months in the future... lol...
