But back to the point, I've been fixated on Red Hood: Resurrection, and all of that has culminated I to this here animatic!!!!

I definitely tried to keep their designs as close to the show as I could, just in my own style, but if/when I do another post abt RHR, I’ll probably revert to a mix of my own canon designs.

And uh what else

Oh yeah, this is one of the few times my animatics have been faithful to my storyboards, and therefore my vision, so I'm really happy abt that

*Looks around and whispers* it means I'm getting more comfortable with storyboarding and closer to maybe becoming a professional storyboard artist!

Although the quality isn't quite up to my standards yet, so maybe I'll redo this in the future!

Urban Jungle Au: Lizzie, Cleo and Scar

Disclaimer! I’m going to try and find a place for each life series member in this universe but a very few of the characters are actually important to the story so they will not have as detailed of a description.

The poll results are in! Here is Lizzie, Cleo and Scar in the urban Jungle AU!

Lizzie - She moved to the ranch after having met and married Joel. She primarily takes care of the animals on the ranch and likes to pretend she doesn’t understand how the heavy machinery works but she just doesn’t want to sit in the tractor reaping crops all day. She also built a small farmers stand where she sells eggs and other produce that is produced on the farm.

She is a fairy and she uses a spell to give herself wings so she can easily do her tasks around the ranch. She and Jimmy are very close as she is the only one who really treats him as an adult and stands up for him when Joel and Grian pick on him (although not before laughing at his expense).

Cleo - They are the mother off Bdubs and Scar (Etho is not the father). She sometimes comes and helps Bdubs on the horse ranch but lives closer to the city and owns a animatronic store with Etho where she builds the cosmetic part of the animatronics while Etho builds the mechanical parts. They aren’t really close to the other ranchers aside from her sons.

Scar - He’s an esteemed award winning equestrian and houses his horse at Bdubs ranch. He helps out, like his mother, with chores every now and then. He works at a veterinary clinic half an hour away from the ranch. He is close to Grian and has known all three brothers since they were young.

Siren! Ariana Griande!!

Yes, this is basically all that I have after these past few days. No, I am only slightly disappointed abt that.

I actually don't hate how I rendered her, or whatever you call my shading, so that's a positive of mines.

And the negatives…. Uhhhhhh, none really, maybe the design or colors I chose/how I placed them, but that's about it really.

Now time for the lore I hinted at in that “cover” art. (note may be a bit murdery)

There's not much I've figured out, but the basic bullet points are

Watcher/siren/eldritch adjacent Grian dresses/transforms into Griande so that she can feed herself

Does so by using their voice to attract victims and feed on them

(slightly based on Martyn’s idea of Watchers) uses voice to influence/give them dopamine/joy to victims

Grian feasts on positive emotions

Yeah that's all so far, might come back to this in the future, but eh

Soulsmake - An AU Creation Event

A low stakes event about making a new friend and appreciating the journey of creation!

Soulsmake is simple. Sign up and be randomly assigned a soulmate of another creative in the Life Series fandom who you don't usually work with, then spend a month making an AU or story together.

After sign-ups close, you'll be asked to review the list of other sign-ups and let us know who to remove from your pool. The goal is to find a new story partner you haven't worked with before, so you'll be asked to let us know any regular creative partners you have so they can be removed from your pool. Once the pool-limiting review period closes, the soulmate rolling begins. You'll have about a week to get to know your soulmate and ensure you and your soulmate are compatible, but if you have any issues such as sharing no common interests or incompatible timezones making it difficult to talk, you can enter a smaller reroll pool or join an existing pair.

Once soulmates are settled, the AU creation period officially begins! Your AU can be Life Series, or it can be for another fandom where you and your soulmate have common ground. You can even make something based on your sonas or OCs. Shipping is allowed, but NSFW will not be reblogged to this blog.

This event is meant to be low stakes and "low effort," focused more on the processes of collaboration and creation than it is on a polished final product. Your AU should have some sort of story line, though it can be as complicated or as simple as you and your soulmate would like. While you're more than welcome to make a full piece of art or fic for your AU, you do not have to. Your final product can be as simple as a sketch or a fic outline. Whatever you want to do!

At the end of the event, you and your soulmate are encouraged to share your AU in whatever form it's currently in. @ this blog and use the tag #soulsmake to showcase your AU, though the end date does not have to be the end. You can continue to work on your AU after the end of the event—in fact, if you and your soulmate want to keep working together, that would be the best success this event could have!

Exact schedule will follow in a few days, but sign-ups should open in July with the event itself running for the month of August. The ask box is also open for any questions!

Haven't decided what I want their actually relationship to be like, but here, angst!! (this video is not “canon” to my lore for them in any way, unless…)

Now, here comes my regular scheduled info dump…

I'm slowly getting used to drawing children, and by that I mean they don't look wrong to me most of the time, so yay for that!!!

Now, I'm hoping by the next post I get back to drawing full pieces instead of just these animation/animatic type stuff. So hopefully things go as planned, cause I really need to rest my hand at some point.

Also, no full pictures/stills this time cause I don't know what they would be, but if anyone wants a frame, just ask me, I’ll dm it!!

The reason why child Jimmy’s face at the end is not there during the “my heart” scene is because the video is from Grian’s pov.

Grian’s memory of child Jimmy is mainly negative, he does not remember what Jimmy’s face looked like when he was happy, cause most of those memories with Jimmy are filled with tears, sadness, and anger.

Turn out, I still had something left in that brain of mine. Didn't even realize I used a bigger brush size then I'm used to till I was already almost done with Scar.

Shading has always been something I relatively despised, so I'm happy what I did for them is actually pretty cool by my standards.

I always wanted to do this trend with something ever since I saw a Life Series Winners (@yogurtfae) and Hermitcraft (@01syntax) version on TikTok.

I just didn't know which smp to do, and then it hit me.

Not literally of course, but I was catching up on the Misadventurers POV’s, episodic only, when one of them mentioned Dungeon Master Lizzie.

So that's how this video came to be.

Now you may realize that the members walking by at the bottom are basically just their Minecraft skin (thank NameMC for that) but you can't be mad at me for it.

I didn't want to figure out a design for all the members, especially since I have only watched the MCYTs that post episodic videos and not those that exclusively stream.

On that note, the members list is based off of the Wiki, so hopefully, I didn't miss anyone. (skins are from 20 May, 2025)

Anyway, see you guys in a month, cause I have got nothing else in my brain, and definitely not motivation)

Two things from Jimmy’s Among Us 3d stream today that I found really funny and just had to draw.

And by had to, I mean Had To.

This was when they lost the round to a reactor? failure when they could of won earlier had Scar just done his tasks instead of saving four till the very last second.

He literally only had to do one more task for them to win, and then Jimmy was like “GET IN THE CORNER!!” (sorry if that's wrong, that moment was awhile ago and I don't wanna scroll back to it after I've already finished the piece)

Tbh, he sounds like a mom saying that.

This was basically Gem’s reaction to getting Imposter five times by that point in the stream, in a row? if I counted correctly, and either way she got imposter again right after that anyways.

Here a thing I did while watching Jimmy’s Hungry Hermits Stream

I feel like those animators who have an entire cinematic piece done right after an entire song is released (totally not looking at the Epic fandom)

I love how by the end of the stream the formerly two player game became a four player one. It was so chaotic and I LOVE IT!!

Even the hermits thought it'd be funny if the rest of the hermits came and joined!

Also the boat boys nod at the very end.
