Some Fun Facts About Emilene & Vera! (My Star Wars OCs)

Just for reference, I will sometimes refer to Emilene and Vera collectively by their ship name, emera [:

First Meetings

These two were originally introduced when Vera was assigned to be Emilene’s personal bodyguard on her first visit to Coruscant. They got along so well that Vera kept the position for some time, only leaving after she was assigned a padawan.

Dynamics

As much as I love a good sun/moon dynamic in a ship, I love thunder/lighting even more, and emera captures that beautifully.

Vera is the thunder character. She’s calm, calculating, and powerful, but in a way that she still manages to keep her low profile. People often find her threatening or off-putting(Which she can be), but most of the time it’s just her RBF, she’s only ever a true danger to those who deserve it.

That makes Emilene the lightning character. She’s dazzling, dramatic, and impulsive, but not necessarily dangerous. What she lacks in physical strength, however, she more than makes up for in influence(I mean it, she can absolutely destroy someone’s social life).

Some other ships with a similar dynamic as them include: Wolfstar, destiel, jemily, jayvik, and potentially newtmas as well

Had a very complicated enemies-to-lovers arc before they got together(But I’ll get into that another time)

INTROS TO MY STAR WARS OCS!!

So I have three of them, and they all exist within the prequels era of the SW timeline, and I love them all very dearly.

This will be a brief intro to all three, but I do plan to post more in-depth things about them in the future!

Vera

Vera Endel(She/Her) is a Jedi master who is in good relations with the rest of the Jedi Order.

She has all-white robes and a green saber. And, as I made her with no particular species in mind, no canon one really fits her, so she’s just kinda her own thing!

She’s overall a very calm and patient person, not unlike Obi-Wan, and she manages to keep her head even in the most dire of situations. Her only weakness comes in the form of the people she loves. She would do anything to protect them and often struggles with her self-sacrificial tendencies.

Emilene

Emilene Tal(She/Her) is the current reigning monarch of the Shili system who also serves as their representative in the galactic senate.

She prefers to wear more earthy tones(Greens, browns, golds, etc), but many of her more traditional royal garments have a good amount of purple as well. She is a Togruta with long lekku and montrails that picrew sadly does not let me showcase very well.

Emilene is a very outspoken person, always standing up for what she believes is right without fail. She is largely favored by the public and is held in high regard by many other members of the senate, including Queen Amidala, who is a good friend of hers.

Beatrice

Beatrice Onom(They/Them) is a 15-year-old Jedi padawan learning under Vera Endel.

Their lightsaber is green, they tend to favor brown robes over any other color(Though they will tolerate tan), and they also wear a small amount of black jewelry. They’re a Mirialan who is a bit to young to have acquired any tattoos yet, but they do have their padawan braid.

Being very introverted(And, between you and me, very anxiety-ridden), Beatrice often struggles to connect with their peers, but they have managed to come out of their shell thanks to the encouragement of Vera and Ahsoka, who is a friend of theirs.

Lore

I won’t go into their stories too much, given how long this post is already, but I’ll lay down the basics.

Emilene and Vera are dating, but they have to keep it secret due to the Jedi Order’s incredibly stupid rules on attatchment. Emilene and Vera are also basically Beatrice’s pseudo-parents, and they’re all very much a found family.

As you will soon discover, I hate giving my characters plot armor unless it enhances the angst, so Vera does unfortunately die as a result of Order 66, and though Beatrice does escape, they did have to witness Vera’s death.

Once Palpatine reforms the senate into the empire, Emilene—still grieving Vera—is rightfully outraged, and she advocates against it, secretly putting money towards the creation of the Rebel Alliance. This does, however, make her a target, and she is assassinated on Palpatine’s orders just over a year after Vera died.

This leaves Beatrice alone in the galaxy, having to flee into the outer rim to protect themself. They watch the fall of everything they’d ever known and are forced to grieve the only two people who loved them as their own.
