So we really start with this stupid Blurryface red eye. Nice

And we also have the "Mindless zombies walkin' around" or the Glorious Gones (who act like vessels).

And one could say that not a lot is going on in the MV, but all of this is just Clancy's inner struggles right before the final battle. Now, dare I say, we have a confirmation that Clancy has not gone mad and will in fact fight. What is more, he got the jacket so he is still working with Touchbearer (and can see him, thank God).

But also, what the hell is he wearing next to his sash? Another sash? A rope to help him jump out the window of the tower? I think I will get back to it lol

And in the end, of course they turn into ashes which symbolizes both the fact that this was all an inner struggle as well as the form of rebirth

The lyrics are hella interesting

I check the doors, check the windows and pull the blinds - the lyric that we know

I check the clock, wondering what he'll pull this time - does Clancy not trust TB? or is it about Nico?

I have a feeling that necromancer's outside - so Nico, who is making people possessed and who possibly possessed all the "mindless zombies"

promises and contracts I used to keep/my hallucination I used to see - Promises and contracts could reflect routines or expectations Clancy tried to follow. The hallucination might represent a distorted reality - so we are back with the theme of inner conflict

I used to see / Sleep I found - maybe all of this ties to Overcompensate and the fact that he "can’t fall asleep twice". One failoure thaught him everything he needs to know now

Wake up and I find out, did a change up / Wait, did it change up? - broski is stuck between reality and perception

Is it light out yet? Better find out, bet / I'ma walk around the edge of the room and the bed - This likely ties into the lore, referencing Clancy’s living space in the Nico and the Niners MV, where he must sneak out before dawn to connect with Banditos and later plan the big escape

Where I hide my face, pace around - reference to his cat ski mask that he is wearing all the time

I wanna get out there / But I don't try - bro feels like he is not trying hard enough to resist. Or maybe it is a mental battle or his lack of courage, or energy to act.

The title itself - The Contract

Clancy had enough and is breaking a pact, possibly with the Bishops, Nico, or maybe even Blurryface. He decides that he will not work with any side (but let's work with TB tho). He is ready to be set free, no matter if it means death.
