Cody Day WIP

I really wanted to have at least a chapter of this done for Cody Day @codyday2224 but life's been rough so instead have a sneak peak from the WIP of the fic that I'm writing. I'll add a link to the fic in this post when it's done.

The Care and Feeding of Your Marshal Commander

Batchmates

Cody is part of a command batch with Fox, Bly, Wolffe, and Ponds. Fox is Marshal Commander of the Coruscant Guard, Bly is Marshal Commander of the 327th Star Corps, Wolffe is Commander of the 104th, and Ponds is Commander of Lightning Squadron. You’ve probably come across at least one of them before. They are all equally terrifying and unhinged in their own special way. (Damn right – Wolffe) (Keep your teeth away from me – Bly)

Apart from the Corries (see the section on Fox below), whenever the 212th works with any of these units, make sure Cody gets time to spend with his respective batchmate. This should happen anyway as they’ll usually end up double bunking and sharing quarters but try to keep distractions to a minimum. Time spent grumbling over flimsiwork together is still better than being comm’d to come and deal with a prank that has gone disastrously wrong. Good luck trying to explain to your very grumpy Marshal Commander and his equally grumpy batchmate (who is also a Commander or Marshal Commander) why the bunks in Barracks 6C are on fire and why every visible surface in Barracks 8E is covered in a fine powdery glitter. You’ll be on sanitation duty for so long that you might as well live in the freshers and become one with the mouse droids.

OR: After the war, Cody’s brothers try to find him a hobby. It doesn’t go well.

I just realized that I've challenged myself to draw one Cody a day, and so far I haven't failed. 🧡

I tried a sad Cody, but I don't think I totally nailed it.

I haven't been much active in the fandom but I wanted to participate in @codyday2224 bc I love cody very much, and honestly this has been one of the best fandom experiences I've ever had so I had to do something.

It was a bit of a struggle bc I didn't know what to draw so I went to what I do best: hot men in skimpy outfits <3

the light, the heat

He feels utterly safe here, warmth encapsulating him in a gentle embrace, like arms wrapped around his midsection. He’s shielded from whatever perils this world might throw at him, protected and… Oh. Finally finished my Coday fanfic!! It’s a few days late but I think that’s okay!

Description:

Cody’s batch somehow end up on Tatooine, in a future where the Clone Wars had ended recently. That alone is jarring enough, he’s still a cadet and learning how to fight, but it gets worse when he realizes that his future self and future family are here. He gets to meet his future mate, his future child, and wonder where everything went wrong.

Originally I planned to finish this one on Cody Day (to go with my two previous pieces) but alas, time was against me.

I'm still learning how to go about doing faces but I think this one turned out well. (either way, I did what I could)

It may be a little late, but I've finally reached a point in my life where I have a stable income and a fairly regular schedule, so I've decided to get back to what makes me happy besides reading: drawing and painting. And nothing better than starting with an old drawing that I was never able to finish.

This is my first attempt using watercolors (bad idea for a simple notebook page) but I'm happy to be back, I haven't been able to sit down and paint until I'm tired in years, and it turned out much better than I expected! 🧡
