I’m 21 today

I am officially an adult by almost every metric

Expect for car rentals and frontal lobe development, I am all grown up

I don’t feel any different

Obviously I never do

But there was a time I thought I wouldn’t make it to these milestones

I burst out in tears at midnight on my 18th because I was so proud of myself

But now I am calm

I have grown I have matured and I have changed

I am still the girl that thought she couldn’t stay alive much longer at 16

I am still the girl that was terrified of being a teenager at 9

I am still the girl that wanted a tea party with applejuice at 4

But now I want to stay alive

I made it through adolescence

And I like the taste of tea

If it has honey

I am 21 today

And I’m ready for my life to get good

Update: I got the pixie cut and love finding ways to make it feminine because I still identify as a woman

Do I want to get a pixie cut because I don’t want to hair in my face and want to look cool and gayer or do I want to get a pixie cut because I’m repressing genderqueer-ness despite identifying as a cis woman

I recently cut my hair short (pixie like a “boy” hair cut) and I realized that this emoji: 🧑‍🦱 now looks more like my hair than the one I had been using: 👩‍🦱. But like… I still want to use the variations of the woman emoji not the man or enby one.

I’m watching community on a *totally legal website* and the captions are usually accurate (they’re sometimes in Spanish which I’m fine with cause I’m learning Spanish) but today instead of saying “you could be an astronomer” it did this.

imagine you are texting with a friend and suddenly they tell you that a house near them was just hit with a bomb. in the middle of your conversation. to be more specific, think of the last friend you texted, open up your messages even and look, and think about how you would feel if that happened. how would they feel?

this just happened while i was talking with @nesmaah. she and her family are in constant danger and their only chance of escaping it right now is to get enough money to leave gaza. i'm leaving their fundraiser below. please share and donate if you can. these are real people who are in danger right now, who are suffering, who are trying to live despite the circumstances. do not forget that every single person asking for help is a person just like you and your loved ones.

I came out to this group in high school as asexual and said that I’ve never been horny and he said he wished he was asexual cause being horny is annoying but then this other allo guy was like dude don’t say that I have another ace friend and there’s a lot more to it and it was so nice to not have to defend myself
