Agree with your take on political lesbianism! For me the “problematic” (for lack of a better word) nature of it has been mostly terminological. Encouraging female separatism is definitely endorsed in radblr, it's the calling yourself a lesbian part gyns take offence with. But as you said, critical thinking is a must and we can view it as a product of a different era. The terminology may be outdated but much of the feminist theory it involves is still relevant and valuable

I'm not myself a political lesbian, but one of my best friends is and she says everybody deals with compulsory heterosexuality, so every women has the potention to being a lesbian. And loving women is not only about sex (tho for me is a important part). She has also told me is wrong to think people r born gay cus 1. kids dont have sexuality 2. its the same idea behind "women brain and a men brain". I honestly dont have arguments again some of these claims..

first of all, no, there isn’t a potential for all women to have disinterest in men & interest in women. i knew because of how disgusting i found their primary sex characteristics and how their secondary sex characteristics were unappealing. also my disgust at the idea of heterosexual sex.

No, because "transgenderism" isn't materialism. It's a religious, spiritual belief in "gender identity" that says feelings are more important than the material world. A materialist would disagree. The material world is more important than feelings. A man performing femininity would be a man, no matter how he's perceived by other people. Womanhood and manhood exist independent of opinions. Sexuality is psychological. It doesn't exist independent of opinions. The two can't be compared

Hayao Miyazaki is not a pioneer of feminist representation

In all Ghibli stories, girls and women possess conventionally feminine attributes. They have a cute voice and a shy demeanor. They are more in contact with the home or the forces of the spirit world, as if women are alien to human societies. They are either cooking or cleaning (Sophie as cleaning lady for Howl, Satsuki and Mei cleaning their new house in My Neighbor Totoro, Chihiro cleaning the bathhouse in Spirited Away, Kiki cleaning the room in Kiki’s Delivery Service, etc)

They are docile and emotionally dependent on men. If the boy doesn't get the girl, the girl gets the boy. That's not feminism. That's the liberal version of patriarchy. True feminism or subversion of gender roles is in the rejection of the "straight" lifestyle

Idol culture is okay, just the way it is

Idols are objects of worship and desire. The name "idol" leaves little room for error or imperfection

This asymmetry provokes indebtedness. The giving would be accompanied by an expectation of receiving something of equal value in return. Music and performance on their own wouldn't be enough to compensate for a fan's loss of resources

Idols, then, should pay the piper by giving fans a part of themselves and undertaking a state of perpetual decency or virginity: no tattoos, no alcohol, no cigarettes, no drugs, no racism, no homophobia, no weight gain, no "dating," no "fornication" and no "marriage"

To refuse to give themselves to their fans would be tantamount to cheating or declaring war; to rejecting alliance and commonality

"Idols are people, not objects" annuls the status of idols, catching itself in a singular double bind. Objects of desire trying to escape their fate as objects of desire would be inconsistent with their purpose. A madness at its very best

Be that as it may, idols are people who are looked up to. They are role models. And role models are held to a higher standard than everyone else

I sympathize with idols, while enjoying the spectacle of their fall if they let me down

In defense of "gay-baiting" and "fetishization"

Society: the lack of gay representation is homophobic!

Also society when there is gay representation: that's gay-baiting, fetishizing and homophobic!

"Gay-baiting" is a sign of progress. It's because gay representation has improved that producers, actors and idols are accused of "gay-baiting"

Heteronormative ideology dominates media and maintains social hierarchical structures that marginalize and exclude gay people at all sectors of society. Till the 90s, western industries had a set of guidelines that prohibited any inference to gay relationships. That was in the west!

Non-western countries are more conservative. Their producers have no choice but to "gay-bait." Gay relationships are hinted at and shrouded in visual cues so that the homophobic majority do not throw a fit. Noone wants their business going bankrupt

For now, "gay-baiting" is a necessary and intelligent marketing strategy that exposes the public to gay activities and relationships

We should be grateful some (e.g. OnlyOneOf) take it upon themselves to go beyond "gay-baiting"

"They are profiting off of the gay identity," you say. And? Society revolves around money. "Straight" media fetishizes and profits off of women and the "straight" identity. You should ban "straight" media first if fetishization and commercialization are your problems

"They are not gay themselves," you say. And? The point of acting is to perform roles representing characters that differ from one's own. Actors don't have to be e.g. doctors to act as e.g. doctors. Actors don't have to be gay to act as gay people

That said, "sexuality" is fluid. The "straight" identifying people who play gay roles might realize that they are not "straight." We should give them the chance to explore

So-called "mpreg" is not only homophobic, but also discriminatory against the childfree movement. Its "creators" and consumers can not fathom that one can build a happy, healthy relationship without "kids"

The lack of media and literature depicting gay relationships is an issue. And so-called "mpreg" and "futanari" rub salt into the wound. They are "straight" media and literature disguised as gay, and women’s "pregnancies" disguised as so-called "men’s pregnancies"

No male has a womb. What males experience can not be considered "pregnancy". And no, a male seahorse or pipefish has no womb or else it wouldn’t be a male. A womb is a female organ that a male can not have

The so-called "scientists" that claim a male seahorse or pipefish is "pregnant" use "pregnancy" as a metaphor. They are not literally "pregnant"

It's incorrect to use the term on non-mammals. They function differently in the area. Fertilized eggs residing in a pouch is not "pregnancy" as much as bacteria residing in male human guts doesn't mean every male human in existence is "pregnant"

To claim male pipefish, seahorse, etc are "pregnant" renders "pregnancy" meaningless. Anything would be "pregnant" in that case; including a coffee mug with a roach inside it. And that’s beyond ridiculous

J Hope - Bi, he initially gave me ACE vibes, but as I got to know him I realised he's probably wasn't comfortable in his sexuality and has grown in confidence.

Jimin - Bi... well first off he's close to Kai and Taemin and friends, who give off the biggest queer vibes in the entire K-Pop community, also he flirts with anything guys and girls in equal measure.

He's probably the only one I can say is definitely gay. He does things that your typical straight man would not do.

Conclusion

No straight person I know would highlight this many queer content/artists as their personal favourites. Most gay men I know will gravitate to queer content more and have queer representations in the homes and life. People gravitate to things that resonate with themselves. And if you're queer, that will be queer people and things.
