SPOILERS!!!
So I have a theory on why the ancient Sheikah technology is gone and there’s new sky islands and the depths and new shrines.
Zelda went back in time, right? And she told Rauru and Sonia about the future she came from, but what if that created a new timeline?
So you have the OG timeline, in which Zelda never went to the past, meaning that Ganon probably won against the sages, and centuries later the ancient Sheikah created technology to help fight against Calamity Ganon.
Then there’s a new timeline, in which Zelda did go to the past, and created a timeline in which Rauru sealed Ganon. In that timeline, there would be no need for Sheikah technology because there was no Calamity. So the sky islands stayed, and there was more Zonai stuff like shrines and ruins.
But maybe something happened, like whatever caused the cave under the castle to open, and that event caused the timelines to merge, bring the Zonai stuff, the new dragon, the shrines, etc. Into the world of BOTW, but the most of the Sheikah technology disappeared as well. And that’s why all this new stuff appeared but was supposed to be there since forever, because in the OG timeline it wasn’t there.

Here I am
Traveling in a vehicle not made by human hands
Across roads that are paved in blood and sweat
Going from one state to another
Across the land of the free but no longer belonging to its people
Watching through dusty windows
The fields and forests
The lone houses and the large cities
From interstates to highways
To celebrate a ceremony of manhood
A graduation of people who have chosen to spend their lives for their country
Of people who bleed and sweat for a land that celebrates them too much and yet not enough
Here I am
Crossing boundaries that have been marked only on maps
Listening to the music of the so-called “ignorant”
Because they are not stupid like people say
They know more than the others but their knowledge is of the land and the earth
Of the air and water
Of traveling and hard work
Of stringed instruments and four-legged beings that move more beautifully than any man made machine
The others call them uneducated yet ignore their own ignorance of life
They know of machines and factories
Corporations and imitations
Folks around here sing of life
They sing of work and blood
Sweat and tears
The corporations and their evils
The tragedies of the past
Some may be ignorant
But you do not see that when traveling through their land
No
You see the fields where people grow food for the many
The forests that haven’t yet been torn down
The lone houses of hard workers
The larger towns of people considered poor by those who only know value in dollar bills
And as I travel down these roads that were once paths
I imagine a world in which everyone knew these things
Knew the joys of catching fireflies and releasing lightning bugs
The joy of making s’mores around a fire you made with your hands
Sitting with your family
Somewhere you are known more by name than by your past
Somewhere your future is more open than the jar of hummingbird food you set out is
I wish everyone knew the gossip passed around by family of people you have never met but know everything about
The way this one road turns but everyone takes it too quickly because they have places to be
How the same people you grow up with are now teaching the youth
How even though the past was ugly, there are stories that spark inspiration in heart
Like how your ancestors came from a country you’ve never visited
How the person you’ve loved forever is setting off to pursue ‘greater things’
While you’re still here because where else would you go?
I wish everyone knew these things, like how to make the best corn bread
And the only recipes you’ll ever need are hand written on old paper and have sat in the same spot for years
Or how your parents earned everything you have with their sweat and blood
Or how to make the best sweet tea and how loud the crickets and cicadas are at night
The calls of birds you have always heard but never known the name of and the circle of vultures overhead as you eat watermelon with salt on your porch after your dad spent all day cooking on the grill
Everyone sees these people with histories rich with the blood of their ancestors and they look past that and only see the wrongs of the few and the good of none
They see accents and dialects foreign to them and they mock it
I wish everyone could see the beauty of this land, but the prejudice everyone has will not let them see past their biased opinions on things they know nothing about
That’s what I think about as I travel down these roads to a place that I have not been

I really wish that the creators of Breath of the Wild would have put in disabled and neurodivergent characters (Besides Link). Or at least had injured characters. There’s so many different things they could have done. And it would be more realistic too.
Like imagine a NPC with an ear missing, got shot off by a guardian.
A Sheikah warrior who’s an amputee.
Zora with lightning scars and PTSD from getting hit by a shock arrow.
A blind Goron who got sparks in his eyes while working.
A Rito who can’t fly because of a crippled wing.
Gerudo warriors who have tons of battle scars and have seen way too much bloodshed to be able to sleep well at night.
A Hylian teenager who hyperfixates on Ancient Sheikah tech and becomes Purah’s or Robbie’s apprentice.
Old soldiers who have so many aches and cramps they can barely walk.
Mute elders who remember too much about the Calamity’s attack a hundred years ago.
Young kids of all races getting panic attacks when a Divine Beast or guardian gets near.
DISABLED AND NEURODIVERGENT CHARACTERS.
A stablemaster with crutches. A blind Sheikah warrior. Amputees. Kids having hyperfixations. Adults getting panic attacks when they cant find their kids.
I know that it’s just one game, but that would have been amazing to see. I hope they do that in the sequel.

How did I just defeat Calamity Ganon on accident? Like I was sure I was no where near him in the castle but I walked into a room and he was there. He was also ridiculously easy to beat. The blights and lynels are so much harder to fight. Also Zelda and Link are just so pretty

I bought some Harry Potter fabrics to add to my patch pants, but I want to make it clear that I don’t support JK Rowling in any way. Do yall have any ideas of patches I can make or things to add on to the fabric to show that I don’t support her?

Sometimes I wonder what Aphrodite would look like to me.
It’s said that she will appear as the epitome of beauty, according to the observer.
But what happens when they don’t have one definition of ‘beautiful’?
Will Aphrodite look like everyone I have ever seen? Or someone I have never met?
Will she even look human? Will I see a person standing in front of me, despite not knowing what one definition of beauty is?
I’ve never seen someone and thought that part of them was truly beautiful, without thinking the same for hundreds of others.
Will her appearance change? Will she even be a ‘she’?
What does Aphrodite do when she meets someone who sees beauty everywhere, in everyone, in every place, in every time?
What happens to love when the beholder doesn’t know the difference between a field of wildflowers, and a person?
When the beholder can’t choose if the dark alleyway is more full of life than the gleaming city, just like how they can’t choose if the person claimed to be the most handsome, or the prettiest, is actually better looking than their best friend?
What does Aphrodite do?
What happens to love when the beholder doesn’t experience it the way others do?

This is very late but how did you make the pins?? The American Idiot one looks really good
Thanks! For some of them I hot glued safety pins on the back of bottle caps, and for others I bought a package of enamel pin backs, and used jewelry glue to attach them. Then I sized the pictures I wanted on microsoft word/google docs so they were the right sizes, cut them out, and used mod podge to glue them on!

Honestly, I think that Dean would have been a better match for Lucifer than Sam.
The main reason Sam was chosen for Lucifer was because they both broke off from the family, and because of the parallels between their fathers and brothers.
But really, Dean is more like Lucifer, his fall just happened later.
They both have the same crappy dad, and a brother who ‘betrayed’ them.
In Supernatural, Lucifer’s story is that he idolized his brother, but his brother turned on him, and called him a monster. This fits both Sam and Dean. While the parallel with Sam is more obvious, Dean also matches this. He idolized his dad, and felt betrayed when Sam left.
Lucifer was one of God’s favorites, but when humans were created, he wasn’t able to accept that he wasn’t God’s favorite anymore. Dean was super loyal to John, but he realized that John put avenging Mary’s death above him and Sam.
God told Lucifer to love humans more than him, and Lucifer refused, saying that humans were monsters. John told Dean that all ‘monsters’ were evil, and needed to be killed. Lucifer fell to hell for his disobedience, and we all know that if John knew that Dean befriended several monsters, and thought that they weren’t all evil, John would have gone crazy. Both fathers tried to make their sons view the world a certain way, without actually paying attention to them.
Lucifer created demons, and the knights of hell, and Dean created Team Free Will (and Team Free Will 2.0), as acts of defiance to God.
Despite being the bad guy, Lucifer often showed signs of being human. He showed disappointment when Michael berated him, and admired Castiel for his loyalty. (This is an example of how angels themselves, despite being holy beings, are just as human as Sam and Dean) Dean is supposed to be a soldier, but we see him break multiple times.
Sam was a good vessel for Lucifer, but Dean could have been too. Actually, it might have been better for Lucifer if he had chosen Dean. He could have used Sam and easily gotten Dean to give up control to him. Sam didn’t have as much of an attachment to Dean that Dean has to him, so Lucifer might have had more luck with Sam by appealing more to his morality. Sam would become a vessel he thought it would save the world, but Dean would always put Sam above humanity, making him easier to manipulate.
I have some more character and relationship analysis I have planned, so tell me what y’all think.
-How angels are just as human as Sam and Dean, despite being ‘holy beings’
-How John’s treatment of both his sons shaped them into something he never wanted them to be
-How Dean’s love for Castiel started as faith in a higher being, and then became pure, true love because of his humanity
-How Dean treated Jack badly at first cause he was afraid of making Jack depend on him like Sam did, only to disappoint him
If there’s anything else y’all want my analysis on, let me know!

is it too much to ask?
i just want to hold my friends tight and press a protective kiss to their head or their cheek
i just want to kiss someone once so i know what it feels like and never anything more
i want a family made from the people who speak my name right and use the right pronouns
i want platonic soulmates, not romantic, not sexual, none of that
i want to be able to sleep in a single bed in a room that i share with my best friend (who's in their own bed across the room) while we stay up till ungodly hours, laughing at bad memes
i want a cat and a dog and maybe a bird
i don't want what society wants and i'm trying to learn how to deal with that
and it's hard when society takes shape as your mother who thinks her word is final, as your brothers who throw slurs around while refusing to learn
it's scary
