old randomest stuff from my stash of trinkets on my mind lately aside from the Sept 26 date with Sansette, Sepia Times and Mandaue Nights, my favorite bands and groups in the bisaya region I'm in and everything Cube Entertainment and Woollim Entertainment from the kpop side of things: 🌺 twitter is still the safest place I can be myself in (and I'm just constantly on my fandom slash irl stuff account on there, A LOT OF THE TIME now), my account here on instagram is 2nd to that now, thanks to the story feature, I still dislike/hate the cesspool of sorts that's facebook 🌺 I'd been on tumblr on and off but yeah...depends if I have something to post...I probably should be there more often 🌺 summer dresses particularly those locally made here. I found a few but I've no budget for it yet. Err... 🌺 summer-appropriate lounge sets too since we're all staying in most days anyway 🌺 as for the earrings posted here, I have lately been more into studs now. The teeny tiniest earrings I can get into. Also, would kinda like more piercings on or around the ears. Yes. I'm not much into tattoos unless they're temporary, lol. 🌺 still haven't posted other fandom acquisitions here and nor have I ripped the music from the JO1 CDs that arrived to me this week, to my computer yet 🌺christmas season, the longest being here in the PH, started since 1st of this month but as two christmas seasons ago haven't been that good to a lot of us & w/ how 2020 started & gradually grew worse towards the middle thanks to Miss 'Rona & a plethora of other reasons namely, 1, our sh*tty current admin's handling or management of it...Christmas season now is really just...dark. I haven't felt its festiveness since a couple years ago 🌺 hanging out mostly on twitter & here means I'm overthinking like usual or it's dysthemia/high functioning depression creeping back in---the thing is, it's never really left---or it's the lifelong training of being a bedroom recluse paying off (I'm, as irl friends put it, more introverted than anyone which is proven fact) & w/ everyone afrenzy about the 9.9 sale yesterday...I didn't take part of it. I'm more a magazine-obsessed someone now than a book reader. Nylon US made me one. 😅 It has to so much to do with the language magazines speak---for instance, Nylon's very young youth-speak or pop culture lingo is why it remains a favorite for me---than the captivating photos that endlessly inspire me when taking and creating dreamy photos in my mind. Or let's not lie, it's both. But I do have this peculiar taste for books that's, I think, quite rare these days hence I never really talk about them often now. Only when an author or so catches my attention, yes. Which brings us to...yes, Gossip Girl. I'm forever stuck on book 2. Yes, with Aaron struggling with his crush on his step sister, Blair. I haven't moved from there since. I don't want him to get over it. Hah. I've been meaning to complete the whole book series but I've yet to succeed, me thinks. I've taken to ebaying the books on this one I'd missed. Hmn... Character-wise, I'm a Serena fan in the tv series but Blair is my girl in the books. The Adventures of JN's Cindy Vortex reminds me of Blair only...she's blonde. Haha. My love for this kind of literature stemmed from Sweet Valley when I was younger. I never completely got over my thing for books series' of this sort so yeah, let's just say it...snowballed from there. I'd like to complete the Pretty Little Liars books one day too. I like Noel and Aria more in there than in the TV series. (I have this one in ebooks. 😅) White Oleander, right next to it, has this dreamy tone to its writing I quite like, a lot. I'm aware of its film as an eternal Michelle Pfeifer fan but yeah...like GG, it's one of those I never really finished either. Lol. I lose interest in books so easily now vs magazines for several reasons but I continue to hoard random ones in a not that really random way. Lol. Needlesstosay, my bookshelf is currently a work-in-progress and the curating and editing of it is never-ending work. I kind of enjoy the slow and somewhat lazy process of it though. It feels so me. Throwback to random super lowfi photos... One of my past times way back (AND until now, when I can✌❤💕) my room was less of the chaotic mess it is now was to take random outfit photos on this mirror. Said mirror is home made! Kinda still wish I had a bigger, prettier mirror. Next time. Haha. Setting the digicam, mounted on a tripod that's quite close to falling apart btw, on timer and shooting outfit shots too, was another past time. Right along with playing clothes and accessories (and now that I have more time on my hands for stuff, playing with natural, very minimal make-up perfect for everyday beach days! Even if you're not on the beach. Lol). Some of my personal favorites to play with: 🌺 old beaded necklaces worn as bracelets (picture 1) 🌺 very loose dresses cinched at the waist with favorite vintage belts 🌺 very loose denim and plaid jackets (they're actually men's button ups i vintage-scouted in Dumaguete City during graduate sch years?? Ancient, I know) over some favorite mini-dresses Sometimes I think the messy, I did not think of what to wear today, throw everything in, is my signature thing on a daily basis. Now, I'm currently onto building my comfy, pretty lounge wardrobe because we're mostly staying in nowadays anyway. Thanks to Miss 'Rona, yes. I've my eye on a few already. Photos were googled (from imdb) Rent's message and impact to its fans (even moreso if you're a Larson fan like I am) remains relevant today. And perhaps it's even MORE significant now in the height of COVID 19. As I write this as I am listening to Finale B which is a VERY powerful song to live by. Anyway, join me as I look back to my time obsessing on Rent since sometime between 2005 and 2006. This american stage play later adapted into movie format is one thing I will never forget along with Larson's work on Sesame Street I watched as a kindergartener growing up. I'm writing a bit about it on my tumblr. :) If there's anything this movie says to me: it's that it's lifechanging. Somehow. It's a classic and will forever remain so. Some thoughts bothered me deeply on the way to sleep in the wee hours of about 2 am this morning. Saturday. Random photo from a random trip in the great NCR way back 😐 I have an unabashed love bullet points so... 🌺 I have stuff to do but I'm not dressed and ready to go out yet, in a bit, I say (to myself, mostly) 🌺 I've even more stuff to do later when I get home after this thing to do out 🌺 The face shields I ordered early this week is coming still soon. (I know, right?! Thank you very much, Lazada Mall! Sarcasm noted, yes.) 🌺 I'm totally using the gumamela (in ph, Hibiscus or Tropical Hibisvus everywhere else) as a bullet here which means I soo miss summer someone take me out to the beach or pool before I die here of no water to mermaid in outside of my shower...or you know, just cave in and actually get an inflatable pool of sorts to have fun in. Missing the outside life. Day 1 of the stay at home, enhanced community quarantine measures against the spread of sars-cov-2 here in Cagayan de Oro City and everything just feels murky. Now missing the outside life but still hanging on. How about you? I've taken to catching up on some fanfiction reading, maybe some writing, watching some kdrama and a lot of youtube for my favorite k and jgroups and artists instead, maybe a lot of tweeting in sporadic moments, and of course, cleaning and organizing the room little by little (this is long overdue, by the way) when off of the internet. Yes. If nothing else to entertain yourself with, try maybe some themed nights and games! Should be lotsa fun despite being just at home! Sooo much things to do so let us all stay safe!
