Backstory: chad confessed his feelings for Carlos, but after the counsel finds out he has to go back on is words

Chad stare at the freckles boy in front of him “so what’s up, I have homework”

the younger boy rolls his eyes and lets out a shaky breath “I like you too” Chad sighed as he rested his head in his hands, of Corse this would come back to bite him.

“Carlos, our hands are tied” Carlos hands instinctively fled to his pockets

“I want you, I don't try to hide it, I know you want me, so stop, don’t keep saying out hands are tied” Chad stood up from his seat and crossed the room to Carlos

“look Carlos you’re right but, it’s not in our cards, it just seems fate keeps us apart, we’re so different” Carlos’s eyes dropped and he stared at Chads shoes, shiny no stains or spots just like Chad “that's what you say, you claim it’s not in the cards and fate is pulling you miles away an out of reach from me, But you’re here in my heart. Who can stop me if I decide that you're my destiny” he didn't make eye contact, too scared to see his reaction

Chad stares disbelief and amusement evident but hesitation clear

“all I'm saying is, what if we rewrite the stars''

Chad scoffs not believing the selfish nature of this child how could he say these things knowing Chads reputation was at stake

“say you were made to be mine”

He mutters mockingly which encourages Carlos who obviously didn't understand the sarcasm

“nothing could keep us apart, you are the one I was meant to find'' he reached out for Chads hands but he jerked away while rolling his eyes

“that not how it works” he glares at Carlos’s big eyes

“why not, it's up to you and it's up to me. No one can say what we get to be” Carlos didn't understand why it was such a big deal to be a boy with a boy wasn't chad the one who wanted him?

“that's not realistic”

“why, why can’t we rewrite the stars, maybe the world can be ours if just for tonight”

Chad turned his back to Carlos he was all he wanted and all he couldn't have

“you done, you think it’s easy, you think I don’t want to run to you “

“what's stopping you, what's the big but” Carlos moved towards Chad he didn't want chad to just shut him out and walk away

“but there are mountains those things we can’t just run through”

“But, but why”

Chad turned back to Carlos, his big brown eyes were watering

“I know you're wonder why, because we’re able to be just you and me within the walls, but when we go outside you’re going to wake up and see that it was hopeless after all” Carlos grabbed Chads shoulders and forced him look at him

“but why can’t-”

“no one can rewrite the stars, how can you say you’ll be mine, everything keeps us apart. And I am Not the one you we’re meant to find” Chad felt pain in saying this, he knows Carlos was made for him but no one would allow it, he can’t allow it.

“but it's-”

“it’s not up to you, It's not up to me, especially when everyone tells us what we can be, how can we rewrite the stars say that the world can be ours”

Chad gets his stuff ready to leave he couldn't stay in this room with the one thing he wanted yet he could never have.

“all I want is to fly with you”

“believe me C all I want is to fall with you”

“so just give me all of you”

“it feels impossible”

“it’s not impossible, just say that it’s possible" Carlos was holding Chad at this point. Chad had everything he ever wanted right there but how could they work?

“how can we rewrite the stars”

Chad nods Carlos looked so happy, he really believed they could work together, and maybe they could.

“you know I want you it’s not a secret and i won’t try to hide it but Carlos, I can’t have you”

“we’re bound to break and my hands are tied”

then Chads phone rings and he shows the screen to Carlos

“they’re really tied I'm sorry Carlos but Auradon expects things from me, and dating a guy isn’t it”

As he exits the room a broken Carlos is left alone and afraid

I glared at the calendar ben had put up with the date circled, as if i could forget what today was,

May 15th the day my life changed.

I brush it off getting up heading to the shower before getting my suit on and going back to bed, i

just don't feel like it, not after the scene it cause last year.

the look in my moms eyes after He told her, when she took her last breath and her eyes told me

she was disappointed, all still burned in my mind as if it was just yesterday, but no today marked

a year and all i wanted to do is lay in bed.

But things don’t always go as planned because at 9 o’clock sharp Benjamin had to come

running into our room and litteraly dragged me out of bed and out to the courtyard where

everyone was gathered with their parents. Great just what I needed to see I scan the crowd but

there is no sign of my father anywhere…. Thank god for that I don't think I could deal with him

today. How disappointed he is in me, reminding me of how disappointed she was and-

"Chad! Ben!"

Jane, Audrey, Lonnie, Doug, and all there parents walked up to me and Ben wondering this is

going great

"Hey guys it's good to see you"

Ben said with a smile that could make someone melt in a snow storm

"Chad where's you father?"

Jane spared me a glance

“He might not be coming”

Ben shot him a look, he looked like a confused baby deer

“How come”

“I believe he's out of town for a meeting,he said he'll try to make it but can't promise anything”

“Well you can join us, right mom”

Chad shot his half sister a thankful look, they both knew he wouldn't make it and Chad didn't

feel like being alone with his thoughts

“Of course he can c'mon guys let's go out for breakfast, Ben where are your parents”

“Dad spilled coffee on his shirt so he’s changing in my dorm and mom’s waiting for him, they'll

join us soon”

Chad sighed his head tilted a little, had ben’s parents been there, he didn't hear them, but then

again he had been too busy moping around to notice anything

“We're here, Adam decided to spill coffee on his shirt”

They let out a small laugh

“Ben told us, now let's go”

All of our families found one large table to sit at

"Its so wonderful that you're all graduating another year, I'm so proud of all of you"Fairy godmother spoke when we all sat down, I took a breath and looked up at the sky, fairy

grabbed my arm squeezing it “she would be proud of you” I give her a date smil but shake my

head, she wasn't their she didn't see that looks, how would she know what my mother would

feel. “Chad” “huh” “I asked if you wanted pancakes, is everything ok” he smiles at Jane “yeah

no, I was just thinking” belle shoots him a kind smile and squeezes his arm gently “you canalways talk to us about it, I know you miss her we all
