Angry Beavers: The Next Generation Chapter 1: Into the Void

A/N: This fanfiction was originally made in 2022 on my Fanfiction. Net but I've decided to remake it to make it a lot more better and make more sense.

I hope you guys like the story and like the improvements I’ve made! ^^

This is a story where it takes place before “The Incident”. A blonde beaver tried to propose to a beautiful lady beaver, but it turns out that the female beaver left one of her jobs, so the blonde beaver left heartbroken. Let us tell you the story about two beaver brothers being gone for five years, but then later returned to the earth.

The story begins one day in 2001, two beavers named Norbert and Daggett were facing cancellation on their show “The Angry Beavers” after four years on the air. But before all that happened, let’s move a little back, July 2001 to be exact.

Norbert was getting ready to propose to Treeflower, and he wanted to do it right at her house, so he went there. Treeflower came out.

“Hey there, Treeflower.”, Norbert said in his suave manner.

“Oh, hey Norbert. What are you doing here?”, Treeflower asked, interested in why Norbert is here at her house.

“I.. I have a very important question to ask you. Will you…?”, Norbert was about to ask her when Treeflower interrupted him.

“Wait until my shifts are done for today?”, Treeflower asked. “I have some work to do.”

“Typical…” Norbert huffed under his breath to himself. “Okay, I can wait, Treeflower.”

“How about this? I’ll go to your house later tonight to know what you want to ask.”, Treeflower explained. “How’s that sound?”

“Yeah, that sounds good.”, Norbert said, slightly sadly.

“Great. I’ll see ya later, Norby.”, Treeflower leaves.

“Yeah, I’ll see you later…”, Norbert said, slightly sadly.

Later on that night, Norbert was getting ready in the bathroom for his proposal date with Treeflower. He puts on some perfume, brushes his teeth, and puts on his fancy black tuxedo. Daggett was heading downstairs to watch some Oxnard Montalvo when he overheard his older brother humming a little tune to himself in the bathroom. Daggett opens the door to find Norbert getting ready for something, or for someone.

“Hey, bro! Where do you think you’re going?”, Daggett asked. “And why are you looking all fancy today?”

“I actually have a little dae-ting to do-ouh! And not just your ordinary date, it's gonna be more than that!”, Norbert said. “It's a surprise!”

“Not an ordinary dating? A surprise? What could be more important than watching our horror movies together?”, Daggett asked.

Just as Norbert began to open his mouth to speak for a response, he heard the acorn doorbell ring, which means Norbert’s date has finally arrived. “Ah! At last! She’s here!”, Norbert happily and excitedly rushed out of the bathroom and went to open the door. Treeflower showed up indeed, and she was wearing nothing too formal.

“Hey, Norby! How is my wonderful beaver doing?”, Treeflower asked Norbert, who was lovestruck and blushing while sweating his fur off.

“G-G-Going fine…”, Norbert said while nervously laughing. He was almost ready to squeak, but he tried his best not to.

They began with their date, from walking around to going out to dinner. The two beavers are having a pretty smooth time as they are having a little chat about how are Treeflower's jobs going, and they were going fine. They ate some spaghetti and meatballs. Norbert tried his best to get ready to propose to Treeflower, but he couldn't tone down his nerves.

“You seem a bit nervous. It’s alright, Norby.”, Treeflower said, as Norbert felt her gentle hands on his own, causing Norbert to get even more nervous. “So… What do you want to ask me?”

“Oh… OH YEAH!, yeah… I wanted to ask you one thing… Okay here it goes… W-will… will you…-”, Norbert tried his best to ask but he couldn’t get his words out. “Excuse me for a second.”

Norbert went to the bathroom to use a breather. He breathed in and out many times and practiced speaking to the mirror.

“You got this, Norby! You want Treeflower to be your wife, don’t ya?”. He then replied to his own question, “Yes! Yes I do!”. He shouted to himself, “You do?!”. He then replied confidently, “Yes I do!”. He then shouted to himself, “Then you got this, Norbert! You can do it!”

With a lot of confidence, Norbert was finally ready to propose to Treeflower as he came back to their table.

“Treeflower, listen, we have been a couple for a long time, right?”, Norbert asked a slightly different question.

“Yeah?”, Treeflower asked in curiosity to find out what he meant.

“We’ve had a few romantic moments, dreams and of course… days together.”, Norbert said. “And I thought I’d ask you this one simple question… Treeflower…Will you-”

He was so close to pop in the question and take the wedding ring out of his pocket, when Treeflower’s telephone rang.

“Could you hold that thought for a moment, Norby? Someone is calling.”, Treeflower said as she took out her phone, and answered it. It was a call from some of her jobs. “Y-yes…Got it. Yes, I’ll be on my way.” She hung up. “I’m so sorry, Norby…. The question will have to wait while I get back to my jobs. I’ll be back tomorrow. Does that sound good?”

“Yeah, I guess… I'll be waiting…”, Norbert replied, slightly in a sad manner.

“That's what I like to hear, Norby. Waiter, check please!”, Treeflower called the waiter for the check, in which they paid. Both beavers were leaving the restaurant. “Well, bye Norby.”, Treeflower said as she kissed Norbert on the cheek very deeply, causing him to blush as Treeflower leaves.

Norbert went back home, extremely upset that he was almost close to his goal.

“Uuugh! I was so close!”, Norbert exclaimed sadly. “Now I have to wait till Saturday comes.”

“Well, that went well, didn't it?”, Daggett asked, but this caused Norbert to give his brother the glare look .

The next morning, he tried to propose to Treeflower many times. He tried it in the forest, on the river, and near Treeflower's house. However, the downside was this: everytime he tried to do it, it always backfired on Norbert. After so many failed attempts, he gave up on proposing.

A few months later, the beavers then decided to make one prank for the viewers. That prank is called “Bye Bye Beavers”. They began to break the fourth wall by calling their actors’ names instead of their own names as the animation began to become cruder and cruder. Not only that, but a letter came in saying that the show is over. They were worried as they both realized that they were cartoons and were becoming invisible. Just then, the two beavers began slowly fading away as they would be going to “Cartoon Heaven” shortly.

As Norbert and Daggett were getting ready to embrace being canceled and their whole world being completely wiped out of existence, they shouted one final phrase. "April Fools!" they yelled before having a jolly good brotherly laugh together. Then, out of nowhere, they poof out of existence and then enter a completely black and empty void. Norb and Dag are both confused. They did not think that this would be what happens when a show becomes canceled.

Norbert and Daggett tried to make sense of what was going on by doing various things. These included simply walking around the void, touching the floor of it to see if anything would happen, etc. However, nothing happened.

Neither Norbert or Daggett thought that this would be the place they ended up once they got canceled. They thought they would just go somewhere else like a cartoon paradise in the sky or somewhere nicer than where they are right now.

"Um Norbert… What's going on here?," Daggett asked. "We'll Daggy-doo, it seems we've been given the axe, we cease to no longer exist…" Norbert explains to his brother, trying to make sense of the situation they're in. "You're crazy Norb! Of course we exis-'' Daggett says before being cut off by a loud and booming voice coming from nowhere.

"He means that the show got canceled!"

Daggett, now even more confused, asks this voice "What do you mean… canceled? And besides who are you? Show yourself!"

"I am the great and powerful Voice of the Void!" He said with a mix of anger and cockiness in his voice. "Oh I get it… so you're some guy behind a curtain?" Daggett asks, not knowing what's going on. "NO!" the Voice shouts at them angrily, causing the void and the beaver brothers to shake as if there was an earthquake.

“Or a voice actor?” Daggett asks.

“I SAID NO!” the voice shouts again…

“I give up.” Daggett said, thinking he is playing charades with the voice.

“Wait a minute… Don’t we know you from somewhere before? Ooooooh, I remember now. You’re the guy who made us recreate the Earth and such for the new millennium, right?” Norbert realizes as he pointed his pointy finger up into the nothingness of the void.

“Yes.”

“Ooooh, I knew you sounded familiar.” Daggett says. “I should have known.”

"What do you mean our show got canceled?, and what happened to our home and our friends and family?" Norbert asked the voice, uncertain of what's going on back in the outside world and concerned for the safety of his friends and family. Just then, a large TV appears out of thin air, showing clips of their adventures with them and their friends. These clips are from "Born to be Beavers," "Up All Night," "Long in the Teeth," "Bummer of Love," "The Bing That Wouldn't Leave," "Guess Who's Stumping to Dinner," "Mission To The Big Hot Thingy" and "Brothers… to the End?"

"Well you see, you two and the rest of your friends were characters on a tv show that sadly lost to a sponge." The TV then starts playing clips of SpongeBob SquarePants, showing episodes such as "Help Wanted," "Tea at the Treedome," "Bubblestand," "Jellyfishing," "Plankton!," and "Band Geeks," As the brothers see this, Daggett laughs to himself out of disbelief. "How could a sponge be more popular than us?," he says laughing coldly at the fact.

"Well right now, the Sponge is currently taking over the world by storm," explains the Voice of the Void. "His face is all over everything! Toys, games, books, clothing, video games…Everything!" As Norb and Dag hear this information, Daggett gets more and more jealous and Norb becomes shocked. "And…I also hear he might be getting a movie about him soon," proclaims the Voice. This last fact completely tips Daggett over the edge and gets him jealous.

"Grrrrr! That should be us getting a movie! We're just as popular as that spooty old sponge! What does he have that we don't? I mean we're funny, entertaining, and relatable! We're basically just like him!" Daggett yells furiously while stomping his feet on the black floor while Norb tries to fathom this information.

"Anyways, that Sponge is currently taking you and every other Nicktoon's popularity. You suffered the worst because he came halfway through your series' run, and for a while you both were doing just as successful as each other," the Voice elaborates to them. "But, over the last couple years, the Sponge has been growing in popularity and stealing your audience away from you!"

"What does that mean?" Norbert asks. "It means that until further notice, you two will be staying here in the Void…" The Voice says in an upset type of voice for them. Both Norb and Dag then gasp in horror at the thought. For them, they don't know how long they'll be stuck here for. It could be a few minutes,a few hours or even entire years.

"But there is an exception, however…" says The Voice. Norbert and Daggett now calm down a bit and listen to what he has to say. "If you two get rebooted, then you will get out of here and be able to return home for the rest of time. Norb and Dag were relieved of this fact but still a bit scared of the thought of them possibly never coming back.

"What if we never come back?" asks Norbert in a somewhat panicked sort of tone. "Don't worry you two…You both were very popular during your run so I'm sure you'll get a reboot at some point," says the voice in a reassuring manner.

"I sure do hope so… I really do miss all of our family and friends now…" says Norbert, who clearly did not give one thought about his family and friends throughout the whole time, as Norbert and Dagggett begin to sit in the void.

“Oh, Treeflower…” Norbert said to himself, as a tear shed down his cheek.

Meanwhile, Norbert's love interest named Treeflower, comes walking to he and Dag's dam. Treeflower is currently getting her hair ready and her flower earrings neatly done, because she's gonna visit the two of them.

As she finishes prettying herself up for him, she rings their doorbell and twirls her feet around a bit, hoping for him to answer. "Norby… It's me, Treeflower…" she says with some embarrassment in her voice and blushes. "I'm back from my trip. Can I come in?"

Nothing happens. Norb and Dag are gone and there's nobody to answer the door for her. She tries knocking on the door this time. "Norby? Are you and Dag okay?," she asks, slightly worried, but still no answer. She then tries opening the door and, surprisingly for her, it's unlocked. She walks around the dam trying to find him and Dag.

"Norby?" she asks as she looks around in their bedroom, but no answer. "Dag?" She asks, looking in the bathroom for them, but still no answer. "If this is some kind of practical joke, it's not funny! I really want you two to come out now!" she says, hoping that this is just some kind of cruel joke the boys are playing on her, when in reality, it's not. Treeflower starts to become scared for Dag and especially Norb's safety, hoping that he'll come back to her soon.

"Norby… Dag too… Please come out… Where are you?" she says as she starts tearing up at the thought of not seeing her beloved Norbert again. "Please come back to me… I'm sorry if I hurt you at all… I'm sorry if I did something bad to you or Dag… I love you Norbert…" Treeflower then sits on the couch looking at a framed photo of Norbert and his brother and starts crying quietly in the dam.

Ten minutes later in the void, as the void enveloped them in its eerie silence, Norbert and Daggett are still sitting silently in the void. Daggett is fidgeting with his fingers, completely bored out of his mind.

"Ugh, this is soooooooooo boooooooring!" Daggett grumbled, his voice tinged with annoyance. "I can't stand just sitting here doing nothing."

“There has to be something we could do while we wait!” Daggett shouted. He then has an idea. “Wait, why don’t we use our imagination?”

Daggett then finds a small oasis, “Finally! Something to do!”, and begins to swim in it. However, the oasis quickly disappears and turns into a trash bin, in which Daggett falls into.

Norbert giggles lightly. “Let me show you how a real imaginat-ouer can imae-gine.”, he said as he walked over to the oasis and up to Daggett. Norbert closes his eyes, and a flower shows up into view as he is sitting on it. He opens his eyes and his expression becomes a happy one. Treeflower later appears, sitting another flower. Smiling happily, Norbert floats towards her with a happy, gleeful expression on his face. Just before Norbert could kiss Treeflower, he crashes into a box.

Daggett laughs happily at that. “Two can play that game!”, he shouted, way confidently.

He then imagines himself as an Arabian king/sultan, with some female beavers fanning him. Norbert then imagines himself being a genie of a lamp with many beavers fanning him, including Treeflower, his one true love. Daggett is shocked to discover that Norbert’s imagination here has more female beavers than his imagination. To get revenge on him, Daggett imagines Norbert being pulled out of the lamp via magic sparks.

“Oh, yeah?!”, Norbert shouted with anger.

He then imagines a wind blowing Daggett, along with the other beavers, away. Daggett, completely fed up, then imagines a large pair of boots and gloves. The latter then grab Norbert and move him like a ping-pong ball on a padlet. Daggett laughs harder at that.

“Oh yeah?!”, Norbert shouted. He then imagines Daggett being brushed away by a large brush, and being swept away and sent into a large trash bin. “It’s not fair!”, Daggett shouted. “It IS fair.”, Norbert retorted. Then, a montage of imagining each other getting cartoonishly defeated takes place: Norbert imagines Daggett being brushed and bathed in cold water, Norbert then imagines Daggett being hammered like a nail, Daggett then imagines Norbert pinned on a brick wall, making the blonde beaver on an Egyptian-like pose; Norbert then imagines Daggett being under a big bell, which rings loudly, causing Daggett to shake very wildly, much to Norbert’s amusement, and many other imagination gags, like Daggett being rolled around in a large circular plastic object, Norbert being scrubbed in a sponge, and both Norbert and Daggett being washed in a washing machine. Right after that, some flashes show up, and Norbert and Daggett fly downwards in parachutes, which disappear as they land.

Daggett then tries to imagine something else, but nothing comes out. Norbert laughs, then tries to imagine something else too, but nothing comes out from him as well.

“You gotta be kidding me!”, Daggett complained. “What happened to our imagination spark?”

“I believe you imagined enough. Now find something else that isn’t too wild!”, the Voice shouted. “Or… you could just wait.”

“Gee, what can we do?!”, Daggett said. “Maybe we could go fishing!”

Norbert was hesitant, because there’s nothing around them. “Good idea, Daggy-waggy, but guess what?”, he said in a calm tone, before growing into a dramatically angry tone. “THERE’S NO WATER AROUND HERE!”

“Oh, right.” Daggett said, then had another idea. “How about a game of Ping Pong?”

“Nothing there, not even a Ping Pong table.”, Norbert replied.

“Skydiving?”, Daggett proposed.

“There are no parachutes here, Daggy.”, Norbert replied.

“Dancing?”, Daggett asked.

“No radio there…”, Norbert replied.

“Ugh!”. Daggett felt upset, and his fingers drummed impatiently against his knees, a rhythmic beat of pent-up frustration. "Why do we have to be stuck in this stupid spooty void thing anyway?" he muttered as he cast a resentful glance at the empty expanse around him.

Meanwhile Norbert is thinking about his friends and family, and more importantly Treeflower and is very sad, thinking that he might never see her and his other friends and family again. He couldn't shake the image of Treeflower's worried expression, her gentle voice calling out to him in vain. The memory of their shared moments together flooded his consciousness, each cherished memory intensifying the ache in his already broken heart.

“Why do we have to stay here?”, Norbert asked, sadly. “I miss my one true love… I even miss our friends and family… I feel like she misses me too…”

With each passing moment, the weight of his despair grew heavier, until it felt as though his very soul was being crushed beneath its unbearable burden. Unable to contain his anguish any longer, Norbert curled up into a tight ball in shame and defeat.

"I'm sorry, Treeflower… I'm so sorry..."

He sighed. His tears fell freely from his cheeks, mingling with the darkness of the void as he mourned the loss of everything he held dear. The emptiness around him echoed with the sound of his grief, a haunting melody of sorrow and regret.

"I’ve never imagined it would end like… this…" Norbert whispered hoarsely, his voice barely a whisper against the vast expanse of nothingness. "All those years of laughter and adventures, gone in an instant… And for what? To be cast aside like… yesterday's news, forgotten and abandoned…"

Memories of happier times flooded his mind, each one a bittersweet reminder of all that he had lost. He thought of the countless hours spent with Treeflower to when they first met at the rock concert, to when Norbert pretended to have a puppet girlfriend just to win Treeflower back, and even pretended to be superheroes together with their friends, their shared dreams and aspirations for the future now nothing more than distant memory.

"I miss her so much…" he choked out, his heart aching with the weight of his longing. "I miss her laughter, her voice, her amazing singing and her various talents, her warmth, her unwavering belief in me... How can I go on without her by my side?"

Norbert's gaze drifted upward into the dark nothingness of the void stretching endlessly above him. It was as if he were searching for some sign, some glimmer of hope amidst the desolation that surrounded him.

"I'm sorry, Treeflower," he murmured, his voice breaking with emotion. "I'm sorry for failing you, for letting you down when you needed me most. If only I could turn back time, if only I could undo the mistakes I've made..."

But even as he spoke the words, Norbert knew that there could be no going back, no undoing the past. The weight of his regrets pressed down on him like a heavy burden, threatening to crush him beneath their crushing weight. All he could do now was cling to the faint hope that somewhere, somehow, there was still a chance for redemption—for him, for Treeflower, for all those he had left behind.

"If only I had been more attentive…" he whispered to the void, his voice tinged with sorrow. "If only I had shown her just how much she meant so much to me, how deeply I cared for her..."

But both of their lives had a way of getting in the way, distractions pulling both of them in different directions, and now, as he sat in the darkness, surrounded by the echoes of his own regrets, he realized the magnitude of his oversight.

"I should have told her every day…" he admitted, his voice barely audible over the sound of his own sobbing. "I should have shown her with every action, every word, just how much she meant the world to me…"

"I had dreamed of… marrying her someday…" he confessed to himself, his voice trembling with emotion, "and… starting a family of our own together…” Norbert kept thinking about all the wasted opportunities and the happy life that got taken away from him, and how he might never get any of it back.

“She’s gone…and… I’ll never get her back…I’ll never see anyone I ever loved again…”

Norbert finally loses it as he fully breaks down crying softly. He really does miss Treeflower so much.

As Norbert continued on crying, Daggett's mood soon switched from anger to sadness. "This just isn't fair!" he muttered bitterly to himself, his voice laced with resentment. "We didn't do anything wrong! Why do we have to suffer like this?!"

Daggett felt a lump form in his throat. His eyes began to well up with tears, mirroring the anguish etched on his brother's face.

"I just want to go home…" he admitted to himself, his voice barely above a whisper while looking at the blank dark floor. "I want things to go back to how they were, before all of this nonsense..."

As the weight of their situation bore down upon the brown beaver, Daggett felt a surge of longing for the family and friends they had left behind as he began sobbing softly to himself. "I miss everyone so much…" he choked out between sobs, his voice trembling with emotion. "Mom, Dad, Stacy, Chelsea, Barry Stump, Bing, Treeflower and… even Truckee… I miss everyone so much! I really do…"

Norbert and Daggett looked at each other for a moment before they embraced each other in a tight hug as the two beaver brothers cried and cried and cried while the darkness was surrounding them.

Meanwhile, Treeflower stands outside of Norbert’s and Daggett's dam with a flower in one hand and another framed photo of Norbert and Daggett in the other as she sets them down gently on the front door. "Norby… Dag… I really miss you guys…I hope you guys come back someday…" she says, heartbroken.

Hours later, Treeflower has gathered everyone that Norbert and Daggett have ever met through the years and gathered them all inside their former dam. Bing, Barry, Wolffe, Big Rabbit, Stump, Bill Licking, Oxnard Montalvo, El Grapadura, Rose, Leonard, Chelsea, and Stacy are all sitting down while Treeflower stands in front of the TV sadly, about to deliver the bad news.

"Everyone…I have something I need to tell all of you…" she says with her voice starting to break. "What is it, Treeflower?" Bing asks worriedly. "Norb and Dag are… missing…" she says as everyone gasps horrifyingly. This shocks everyone, especially Rose and Leonard and their little sisters Stacy and Chelsea.

"What?!" everyone shouted in unison.

"B-b-but… How?!" Rose asks worriedly.

"I don't know! But we need to find them! I want all of you to go all around town and search for them and report it to the news if you have to! I'll help you guys out on the search." Treeflower offers to all of them.

Everyone then heads out of the dam and starts looking around the forest and around Wayouttatown as well. Norbert & Daggett's family even report the disappearances of their sons to the news as well. They tried every method they could in order to try to get the brothers back, but to no avail. They even talked to all the forest animals where the beavers were, but they didn't have a clue. In fact, there wasn't any clue about the beaver brothers at all!

Eventually, a few weeks have passed as the gang have found no leads on Norbert & Daggett's whereabouts. They were gone and hard to find. Thus, they all congregate back to the dam with their heads hanging down in defeat and sadness. They were ready to give up.

"Treeflower, we've searched for weeks on end." An exhausted Barry tells Treeflower.

"And still none of us has found them yet!" Bing adds in.

"Not even the police!" Wolffe added in a panicked voice.

Rose interjects as she steps in "Treeflower dear, I think we need to accept the fact that…"

Everyone pauses as they all look down in defeat and lost their hope.

"That what,Rose?… What?!" Treeflower asked.

Rose paused for a bit before she spoke again with tears welling from her eyes. "That they're… dead…" She chokes up as tears fell down from her eyes as she embraced her husband Leonard close as Rose started to sob uncontrollably into her husband’s white shirt.

As the weight of Rose's words settled in the room, Treeflower starts going manic at this possibility. Not only that, but also extremely worried and upset.

"N-n-NO! They can't be dead! They… they have to be here somewhere! They have to-”

Barry cut Treeflower’s words short as he stepped in front of her while holding on to her shoulders. "They're both gone, Treeflower and there's nothing we can do to get them back! We need to move on…" Barry tries convincing her.

Treeflower, slightly shocked, then laughs quietly, before starting laughing hard for a moment, losing it basically. She then transitions into crying softly.

“I can't… I can't…”, Treeflower said, quietly. “I miss my boyfriend. If only I could see him one more time…”

Treeflower begins sobbing and balling her eyes out as Bing brings her a tissue.

“Y-Y’know… As much of a slop of roadkill as Daggett was, I do k-k-kinda miss him” confessed Truckee as he was whimpering to himself while he wiped his tears with a tissue.

"Well…I-I-if that's the case then we need to honor them in some way…Respectfully…" She tries saying in between her sobs while wiping away her tears with her tissue.

Oxnard Montalvo stands up in front of everyone "We need to remember these beavers for all the great they have brought to this world. I will leave a tribute to both of them in my next movie!" he says with determination in his voice. "Yeah! And I'll make a good documentary about beavers this time. These two need to be remembered by the world in one way or another!" says Bill Licking. "¡Sí! ¡Y los promociono en mi próximo combate de lucha libre y les haré un homenaje!" says El Grapadura in Spanish as subtitles below him say "Yeah! And I'll promote them in my next wrestling match and I'll make a tribute to them!"

"We need to all remember Norbert and Daggett for who they were and the positive impact they've left upon everybody." says Treeflower to them. "I know my dear Norby would very much appreciate it if he were still here." she says while looking up sadly.

After this, Treeflower and the rest of Norbert and Daggett's friends and family make a tribute video showcasing all of their best moments from the series and they all watch it together as they all mourn and grieve for the loss of the two best beavers they've ever known. As time went on, all of Norbert and Daggett's friends end up moving on with their lives, their family has some trouble coping but have little to no problem with moving on, but Treeflower has still had the hardest time trying to cope with their loss. Meanwhile, Bing ends up getting back in a relationship with Wanda, Barry’s music career has been skyrocketing and during one of his tours, he has met a female bear named Glodean who loves music just as much as he does, and Wolffee has met a female wolf named Tracy. El Grapadura has dedicated many of his wrestling matches to them, Bill Licking makes an hour long documentary about beavers dedicated to Norbert and Daggett, and Oxnard Montalvo made tributes to the two of them in many of his movies to come. Leonard and Rose including their sisters still try to cope with the loss of their sons/brothers and holds a memorial for them, Truckee still does his truck driving shtick and is currently traveling the country, and Stump and Vanity are still in a relationship. Six months later, Treeflower decides to rejoin her band The Friendly Chartreuse Bubblegum Machine and becomes a hippie once again, knowing that it's what Norbert would've wanted for her and she has had a somewhat better ability to move on but at the same time she still had a difficult time coping.

5 years later, it is now 2006. A few sparks and twinkles appear across space, flying across heavens, and signaling a potential hope for Norbert and Daggett, who are still in the void together. To them it's only been 10 minutes but to the outside world, it has been much, much longer. "Norbert, how long has it been?" Daggett asks his brother. "I don't know, Dag… It could be a few minutes, it could’ve been months, it could be a few years, but all I know is I want to go back home…" Norbert tells Daggett in a depressed voice. Just then, the Voice of the Void finally speaks again.

"Beavers! I have some news for you! You have officially been rebooted!" the Voice says proudly. Norbert and Daggett feel a mix of both excitement and confusion. "Wait… already? It's only been like ten minutes." Daggett says to the Voice. "Well you see, in the void time moves much slower than in the real world. It's only been ten minutes for you two, but in reality it has been seventeen years for the outside world. This fact makes Daggett completely shocked, but Norbert is more focused on getting home as soon as possible.

"The door back to the outside world shall now open for you two. And soon as you walk through this door, you will return to your home, your family, and your friends." the Voice says As heavenly doors open for the two of them leading into their living room. "Good luck you two!"

Norbert and Daggett finally step through the void and back to their home where they belong. After all that time they've spent in the void away from everything and everyone they're ever known, they're finally back home. "Dag, we're home! We're finally home!" says Norbert excitedly and he and his brother do a celebratory tail slap while laughing and sitting on the couch together. "It feels so good to finally sit on this couch again after so long!" Dag says while having another brotherly laugh with Norbert.

What they don't know is that Treeflower is coming by to mourn them again, this time dressed in her hippie outfit, knowing that Norbert always loved to see her in her hippie outfit. She walks sadly into the dam and says, "Norby, it's me Treeflo-" but then freezes in shock after seeing the two of them sitting on the couch. Norbert sees Treeflower and finally stops laughing as he gets off the couch.

"Treeflower? Is that you?" Norbert says quietly and shocked to see her again and in her hippie outfit. "Norby? Is it really you?" Treeflower says shocked as well while also tearing up again. Norbert also tears up as the two run to hug each other tightly after not seeing each other for so long. "Oh Norby! I've missed you so much!" Treeflower says as she starts crying, but then soon gets comforted by Norb who says "I've missed you too, Treeflower. I've missed you very much."

"We all thought you two were dead and so we all were mourning for you for five years," Treeflower explains while crying and hugging Norbert. "So we all had to try to cope, but I had a very difficult time coping with the thought of losing you…" Norbert strokes her hair while hugging her and says, "It's okay, Treeflower,I'm here now… And I've missed you so very much too. I could not stand the thought of being without you and I never want to lose you or anybody else again."

Treeflower is now relaxed and relieved that Norbert is finally back with her and she can be comforted by him. Treeflower takes a step back and looks at Norb while blushing, hoping he notices her wearing her hippie outfit again. "Wait a minute…" Norbert says with some suspicion in his voice, "Did you rejoin your band?"

"Yes I did, Norby. I wanted to become a hippie again since I knew that's what you would've wanted for me." she says flustered and looking away shyly from Norbert. "Well, you look very beautiful! You look just as gorgeous as you did when we first met." Norb says, awestruck by her outfit, which makes Treeflower blush even harder as Dag simply rolls his eyes in annoyance.

Treeflower then turns her face to the door and opens it, ready to announce the big news.

"HEY EVERYONE, GUESS WHAT?! NORBERT AND DAGGETT ARE BACK!" Treeflower calls out to the entire forest.

Everyone heard Treeflower and all of their forest friends came rushing back to the dam, eager to see the two of them again.

"OH MY GOSH! NORBERT! DAGGETT! WHERE HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN! WE WERE ALL SO WORRIED ABOUT YOU!" Everyone starts talking over each other, so excited to have the two of them back.

"Hey everyone! We're all so happy to see you again!" Norbert says to everyone.

“Except for you Truckee, I still hate you.” Daggett commented amongst the cheering.

Everyone continues cheering and hugging the brothers for their return. Just then, Norbert and Daggett’s parents and younger sisters ran over to their now found sons/brothers.

"Norbert! Daggett!" their mother, Rose, exclaimed, rushing forward to embrace her sons tightly.

"Boys, you're okay! BIIIIIIIIG HUG!" Leonard, their father, added happily as he joined in on the embrace.

Their little sisters Stacy and Chelsea hugged them tightly as tears streamed down their little faces. "We were so worried big brothers!" Stacy and Chelsea exclaimed in unison as they were still clutching onto their older siblings’ fur tightly.

Norbert and Daggett returned their family's embrace, holding onto them as if they never wanted to let go. "We're okay, Mom, Dad, girls…" Norbert reassured them, his voice choked with emotion. "We're okay..."

Daggett nodded in agreement. "We're here, guys…" he said softly, his voice trembling with emotion. "We're here…"

"Boys, we were all so worried about you. ”What happened?

Norbert exchanged a somber look with his younger brother before turning back to their family. "It's a long, complicated story." he began, "But all that matters is that we're home now and we’re safe."

Daggett nodded in agreement. "Yeah, Mom, Dad, girls" he said softly. "We're home."

A couple hours later, everyone has thrown a welcome back party for Norbert & Daggett coming home. Everyone is having a fun time, especially the beaver brothers.

As everyone is partying, Truckee walks near Daggett while he drinks his punch.

"Oh. Hey Truckee."

"Hey."

"You know… Things were veeery peaceful around here when I was away from you."

"What's that supposed to mean, mouth breather?!"

"It means you were a spoothead back then, and you're still a spoothead now!"

Truckee and Daggett then start to have their constant bickering while everyone else has fun.

As everyone is still partying, Norbert sees Treeflower drinking her punch and decides to finally talk to her, after so long of not chatting to each other.

"Hey Treeflower, I am so glad to finally see you again… It's been so long…"

"Y-yeah it has…" She blushes while moving her hair away while drinking her fruit punch.

"What happened to you and Dag while you two were gone?" She asks.

"Me and Daggett were trapped in a void. It felt like ten minutes to us but I guess it was five years to you guys."

"Wow, that's a lot to take in… And yeah it has been 5 years. A lot has changed since you and Dag have been gone."

"Woola booga! Well it looks like me and Dag got some catching up to do. You know I tried to talk to you while you were out with your family but you weren't home."

"You did? So what were you trying to talk to me about?" She asks her boyfriend.

"Well… Um.. It’s a surprise! I'll tell you when it's the right time but I promise you'll love it a whole lot." He smiles.

"I love you too Norby… I'm so glad to have you and Dag back…" She hugs Norbert lovingly.

"Same here, Treeflower… same here…"

Norbert and Treeflower then kiss on the lips while everyone continues partying, glad to have the beavers back.

Norbert pats his pocket with the wedding ring inside as he continues hugging Treeflower as the party continues on.

Later that night as the party continued on with laughter and music echoing through the dam, Norbert found himself sitting right outside, under the starry sky. He leaned against the wooden exterior, his mind drifting through a whirlwind of thoughts after all that’s been happening lately. He needed some fresh air, after all.

Just then, Treeflower noticed him from the doorway. Concerned, she walked over to her blonde beaver boyfriend. Her eyes sparkle as she walks up to him.

“Hey, Norby,” she called softly as she approached. “You seem upset. Do you… Mind if I sit next to you?”

Norbert looked up at her, his eyes reflecting a mix of emotions. He managed a small smile and shifted over a bit to make room. “Sure,” he replied softly as he slightly moved over a bit so she had some room.

Treeflower settled down beside him, their shoulders almost touching. They sat in silence for a moment, simply enjoying each other's presence. The sounds of the party faded into the background as they both gazed up at the stars, finding comfort in the quiet and in each other’s company.

Treeflower finally broke the silence. “You know, it’s okay to need some time alone, but I’m always here if you want to talk about what’s on your mind.”

Norbert sighed deeply, glancing at her before returning his gaze to the bright night sky. “Thanks, Treeflower. I just... needed a moment to think, you know?”

“Yeah…” Treeflower replied softly.

The wind was blowing softly. Both beavers looked at each other with happiness.

“So you and your brother were in the void for five years, eh?”, Treeflower asked in curiosity.

“Yeah, you bet it was dark and mostly bor-rang around here.”, Norbert explained. “Trust me, we even tried to imagine anything, but it seems that it has been back-fair-red.”

Treeflower giggled at Norbert’s mispronunciations which she missed so much and was music to Treeflower’s ears.

“Well, I'm glad to have both of you back. Especially you..." She reassured her boyfriend as she reached out and gently grasped Norbert's hand lovingly with her cheeks all red from her blushing.

Norbert’s cheeks flushed slightly at Treeflower's words as he returned her gaze. Together, they sat in complete and utter silence as the night air filled with the gentle rustle of leaves and the distant sounds of the party inside. In that moment, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the night, Norbert and Treeflower felt a deeper connection that they never felt before in their lives.

“Actually, there's something, or, somethings I've been wanting to give you for a while now," she admitted softly.

Norbert's brows furrowed in curiosity, "Awwww, you didn't have to give me anything," he protested gently.

Undeterred as Treeflower rolled her eyes with a smile, Treeflower reached into a small bag she had brought with her and carefully retrieved something from within. With a tender expression, she presented Norbert with a single, delicate flower. It was something he recognized instantly.

Treeflower extended her hand, offering the crimson flower to Norbert with a soft smile. "Here, Norb. This is for you." she said.

Norbert's eyes widened in surprise as he accepted the flower, his fingers gently brushing against its delicate petals. "Is that…?" he began.

Treeflower nodded, "Yeah, it's the same flower I gave you when we first met," she confirmed. "I thought you might like to have another one."

Norbert's eyes shimmered with gratitude as he pulled Treeflower into a tight embrace, the flower delicately held between them. "I love it…" he murmured softly.

After a moment, Treeflower pulled away slightly, a mischievous glint in her eye. "And I have something else for you," she said as she was reaching for something behind her back.

She then revealed a beautifully crafted guitar. "I’ve won this a couple of years ago," she explained. "I thought you might like it."

Norbert's expression lit up with surprise and joy as he took the instrument, "Wow, Treeflower! I-I don’t know what to say! This is incredible!" he exclaimed excitedly.

Treeflower smiled warmly, "This guitar is very special and rare," she explained. "It's one of a kind, just like our bond."

Norbert's eyes widened in surprise. "Wait, really?" he asked as he looked up at his girlfriend. “You mean it?”

Treeflower nodded. "Try it.", she encouraged.

With eager anticipation, Norbert grabbed onto the guitar and strummed a few chords. The music coming out of the guitar was just out of this world and very groovy. Something that Norbert has never heard of before in his life.

Norbert's expression turned from curiosity to amazement. "Wow," he breathed as his fingers danced over the strings. "This is incredible, Treeflower. Thank you so much."

Treeflower smiled, her heart swelling with happiness at Norbert's reaction. "I'm glad you like it," she said softly.

Norbert gently placed his new guitar down by his side and reached out to feel Treeflower's soft warm cheek. "You know I've really missed you, Treeflower... So much..." he confessed.

Treeflower's cheeks flushed with warmth as she met Norbert's gaze. "And I've really missed you too, Norby..." she whispered.

Tears welled up in Treeflower's eyes as she struggled to contain her emotions. She sniffled softly as her tears falling down her cheeks.

Norbert's heart stopped at the sight of Treeflower in tears. "Wh-what’s wrong, Treeflower? D-Did I say something wrong?" he asked in a panic.

"N-no, Norb, you didn’t," she sobbed between sniffles, her voice choked with emotion.

As tears streamed down her cheeks, Treeflower poured out her heart to Norbert. "It’s just…I've been so lonely ever since you left... I missed you so much," she admitted, her voice trembling with sorrow. "I wished I wasn’t so busy with all my jobs while you and Dag were still here... I hate myself for not being there for you more. I wish I could've been a better girlfriend… I-"

Treeflower’s words were cut off by Norbert gently held onto Treeflower's cheeks. "Treeflower, listen to me," he interrupted softly, his voice filled with love and sincerity. "You were always the best girlfriend I could've asked for. You were there for me in more ways than you know, even when I couldn't physically be with you. And now that I'm back, I promise you, I won't leave your side. We'll make up for lost time, together."

Norbert sighed as he continued, "I know that Dag and I were gone for five years, and every single day, I couldn't stop thinking about you... and all of my loved ones," he confessed, "But I'm back now, and I promise you, I won't go anywhere. I won't leave your side, ever…"

A sob caught in Treeflower's throat as she was left speechless by Norbert’s heartfelt speech.

"I—" Treeflower began but Norbert cut her off by pressing his lips to hers in a tender kiss.

Their kiss was filled with great passion and love. A silent exchange of everything they had felt during their time apart. It lasted for what felt like an eternity. They felt as if the world around them was fading away as they lost themselves in each other's embrace.

When they finally parted, Norbert looked deeply into Treeflower's eyes, "I love you, Treeflower..." he whispered.

Tears welled up in Treeflower's eyes as she gazed back at him, "And I love you too, Norbert Beaver..." she whispered softly.

Norbert and Treeflower sighed as the two looked at each other's eyes for a moment again. Just before they could kiss each other again, Daggett interrupts them as he comes in.

“What are you doing out there?!”, Daggett asked. “You have to get back to the party!”

“Oh, yeah, right.”, Norbert said. “And besides, you shouldn't just come in and talk to us like that. That's called interrupting. And also, we were in the middle of a special mou-mant!”

“Oh, right. Sorry.”, Daggett apologized. “Anyway, we have a cake coming! Care to eat?”

“Okay, okay… we’re coming in a moment.”, Norbert replied.

“Alright...”, Daggett said reclutanctly as he came back inside into the dam.

The two beavers both finally stood up as he offered his arm in such a gentlemanly manner.

"Shall we, my lady?", he asked playfully.

Treeflower giggled softly, taking his arm. "Yes, we shall," she replied warmly.

As they walked back towards the dam, whilst holding each other's hands, their love between them felt stronger than ever before. Petting each others’ hairs again,their love, once tested by time and separation, now felt unbreakable, and nothing would change it. Norbert and Treeflower are still a match made in heaven.

During the party, there was a wooden-styled piñata. Inside, there were bags on lickety splits, followed by a pair of ballooned Yahoo! Soda bottles. It was followed by a large cake, filled with wood and sugar on different sides. It was then cut by Bing for other animals to enjoy. Daggett's opinion on the cake was this, “Wahoo! Delici-aus!”. After that, all the guests danced to disco, pop, and finally, waltz music, in which Norbert and Treeflower danced to. They look each other in the eyes in a flirty way, and pet each other's hair and nuzzle each other's noses. It was like the Cinderella story, where Norbert is the prince, and Treeflower was Cinderella.

“I love you, Norbert Beaver…”, Treeflower said quietly.

“I love you too, Treeflower.”, Norbert replied.

After the party was over, which was a great hit, the guests began to leave. The brothers’ parents and siblings were the first guests to do so. Before they left, they went to say goodbye to the beaver brothers.

“We are both glad to see you boys again…”, Rose said to the beaver brothers. “Aren’t we, Leonard?”

“Oh, we sure are, Rose! Glad we get to see you alive and well!”, Leonard said in his usual Western accent.

“So am I.”, Norbert said. “I missed you so much. Daggett did so too.”

“That’s right. We missed you guys so much!”, Daggett replied.

“I was hoping you’d say that because we missed you so much!”, Leonard said, before hugging both beavers. “Big hug!”

“That was my line, dad.”, Norbert said to Leonard.

“Sorry… I’m just too excited to see you and your brother safe and sound!”, Leonard replied, excitedly.

“So are we,dad… So are we…”, Norbert rolled his eyes, playfully.

“Well, I suppose we have to go now. We had a lovely time at the party. However, either you two, or one of us should visit each other anytime we like.”, Rose said.

“That sounds lovely.”, Norbert said. “Don’t you agree, Daggy-waggy?”

“Oh yeah, we definitely should!”, Daggett said, before turning to his sisters. “And as for you, Chelsea and Stacy, keep on being good and kind.”

“We will, Daggy!”, Chelsea said.

“We can try, big bro!”, Stacy replied.

“Goodbye, Norby. Goodbye, Daggy.”, Chelsea and Stacy wave to their brothers with happiness.

“See ya soon, little sisters. Hey, before you go, here’s a hug from your brothers! Come here! BIIIIIIIIIG HUG!!!”, Norbert said, as he hugs both of his sisters, and so does Daggett. Rose and Leonard join in and hug their sons and daughters too.

Pulling away from each other, Rose, Leonard, Chelsea and Stacey wave goodbye to Norbert and Daggett as they all leave. Barry and Bing, along with the other animals and the rest of Norbert and Daggett’s friends, all say goodbye to each other and leave the dam as well.

“Bye! See ya soon! See ya on the flip side!”, Bing said.

“I hope we see each other again, ya dig?”, Barry asked.

“Bye-bye!”, Wanda nicely waves goodbye to Norbert and Daggett.

Just before Treeflower leaves, she asks one question to Norbert. “Well, shall we see each other again?”

“Yes, my lovely Tree.”, Norbert softly replied. “Yes we will.”

“That's what I want to hear. See ya Norby.”, Treeflower said, flirtingly.

Treeflower gives Norbert a kiss on the cheek. She leaves as she waves goodbye, while Daggett kicks Truckee out of the dam in anger.

“Bye, ya old chum!”, Daggett shouted in both sarcasm and anger.

“Oh, hope to see ya too and kick your butt, buckeroo!”, Truckee shouted back.

Meanwhile, Norbert feels lovestruck while watching Treeflower walk away through the window as he sighs lovingly. Daggett looks out the window as well, then turns to Norbert. “She dumped you, didn't she?”, Daggett asked.

“No, no she didn't. She still loves me, you know?”, Norbert said.

“Does not.”, Daggett retorted.

“Does too, Daggett.”, Norbert replied. “And once aga-ein, she didn't dump me.”

“Did too.”, Daggett replied.

“Did not.”, Norbert retorted.

“Did too!”

“Did not!”

“Did too!”

“Did not!”

They continued bickering for a few more seconds and Daggett gave up.

“Okay, you win. She didn't dump you.”, Daggett replied. “But that’s just my guess.”

Later, Norbert and Daggett were ready to go to bed, as they were yawning.

“Well, my brother. What a day this has been. We were in the void for so many years, and we came back to Wayouttatown at last where we belong. That was nuts!”, Daggett yawned.

“I agree, Daggy-waggy. I agree.”, Norbert yawned also. “But for now… let’s go to bed…”

As the two got into bed, a new picture of Norbert and Daggett, as well as their friends and family, was put up on a wall. Now, everything was back to normal for everyone, even for the returned beavers and their friends. The beavers got back with their friends, they returned to their own dam, and everything was as it should be.

This was, for sure, a brand new start for beaver brothers and it’s only just the beginning. Their journey was far from over, and the best was yet to come.
