Creatures & Contraptions Tuesday: The Haunted Shores 4

While brushing up on some of the encounter tables, I realized that several of the creatures listed there were not of the SRD, so I've created alternatives fit for the same challenge ratings and will update the encounter tables appropriate when I compile the Realm for its full release!

I've also created a legendary monster fit to the thematic of The Haunted Shores, the Spectral Tidecaller! This terrifying beast can be quite a capstone to an adventure for low level parties, and at CR 8, with legendary and lair actions, would be a challenge for even tier two or three players!

As a personal home brew rule, I tend to give 'boss' creatures a "FINAL FORM" optional trait to attempt to mitigate single round slaughtering of a big bad that is supposed to be a climax. The key to this is the optionality so as to give the GM a mechanical way to present additional challenge in the moment if it is needed to spice up combat. It is not intended to be used if the party is already on its heals.

5 More NPCs to round out the NPCs needed for all of Toliara and The Haunted Shores! Next week, it's all monsters to fill out the gaps in the encounter tables for the Realm so as to not use WoTC's non-SRD monsters!

Updates & Milestones!

Happy Friday! I know you EST ppl are kinda mid-workday, but I'm about ready to clock out and head to the pool for for some of that post-siesta vibe here in Spain!

But before I do, just wanted to share that my latest updated to the Immortal Realms D&D 5e setting is up over on my Patreon! At just over 20 pages, and still very much a draft, I believe one could begin a game as I intend it to be ran with this documentation.

Of course, what's missing in the Immortal Realms is the Realms! Well good news there, I'm now content complete the first of more than 20 intended Realms! That content is being released daily over on my patreon at different tiers, and I think I may do a "First Realm Free" deal at the end of the month for all that content.

Unused TTRPG Town Idea

So this was something I threw together while thinking of the town in Spain I live in currently. The placement of some key structures and the river would look familiar to anyone who has spent some time here for sure. I even went so far as to add an 'under view' of the town, connecting various places together by way of sewage systems.Feel free to use :)
