I saw something today and it really bothered me so I thought I’d share it and try and educate some of you in case you didn’t know this. Some people think that all chemicals are bad, if this were true they shouldn’t drink water, eat food or breath in air. I understand all these things can lack in their purity nowadays, however, we wouldn’t exist without them. Companies or even local people try to sell their “all natural” or “organic” products with the sales pitch that it’s chemical free. This irritates me to no end because if they really researched they would understand that a chemical is any substance consisting of matter, this includes any liquid, solid or gas. Therefore ANY product, natural or not, has chemicals in it!! A snack that I’m loving right now, @quepasafoods #organic #tortillachips with #homemade #tzatziki made with organic #kirkland #greekyogurt I also add a bit of spicy salsa. There’s tons of recipes out there but this is the one I used... ~2 cups plain Greek yogurt ~1 cup mini cucumber shredded and juices squeezed out ~1 Tbsp lemon juice ~2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil ~2 cloves garlic minced ~1 Tbsp chopped dill ~Salt and pepper to taste To me it always seems to taste better the next day once the flavour has had a chance to mature. Have any of you tried @preschoice #green #dishwasher tabs? I was in a pinch waiting for my #sodiumpercarbonate to come in the mail so I grabbed the “greenest” option @realcdnss and let me tell you they were so disappointing, I even rinsed my dishes and the food that you see in the next picture literally came off with a light swipe and my water glass came out dirtier looking than when they went in. I’ve never had these issues with my homemade dishwasher detergent, and thankfully I bought enough sodium percarbonate to last a long time. For those of you who don’t know what sodium percarbonate is, its sodium carbonate (washing soda) and hydrogen peroxide and used as a natural alternative to bleach. My website is coming up for renewal and I told myself that I’d have things figured out after a year in but I don’t. My renewal is going to cost over $300 for the year and I am starting to think that maybe I need to just step away from having a website and just be active on IG, FB and maybe have a free blog on blogspot. What are your thoughts? I really liked the idea of my website, to be able to find the information you need easily but I’m not okay with paying that much if it’s just for the sake of having a website. I have to look after my bottom dollar too since I’m a SAHM who does this in her spare time.

Sorry I haven’t been very active on here, the main reason is this sign went on our lawn on Monday morning so we’ve been crazy busy making sure our house (which we partially renovated) was ready to show. In the last week we’ve been putting in countless hours putting up baseboards, casings, crown moulding and closet doors, filling nail holes, painting, cleaning, sanding, mudding, organizing, minimizing and more cleaning. Every part of my body hurts even in places I didn’t know could hurt. Like did you know your armpit could hurt? Yeah me neither! I have bruises all over my calves and shins from the ladder and I’ve learned so many things! I know it’s going to all be worth it when we see a sold sign on this board and hopefully that will be soon because I sure don’t want to be showing my house for the next 3 months! With 3 kids 6 and under it is not easy keeping everything clean and pristine. 😅 . . . . #sellbabysell #sotired #newadventures #sosore

I know it’s not made in #Canada but I bought something different the other day from a place I love ordering from @om.foods which is based in #nelson #britishcolumbia and wanted to share... I’ve never tried #tamari before but have read that it is better than #soyasauce since it contains way less salt and it’s made with 100% #fermentedsoybeans I decided to try it in the sweet and sour recipe (swipe to the left) with chicken. Some other changes I made are, I also used #honey in place of the sugar and #tapiocastarch in place of the #cornstarch but use a touch less since it will jell up a bit more than cornstarch. Parenting is easy #saidnooneever this last week has been brutal, all three of my kids got sick at the same time with a stomach bug that lasted for 4 days, only to leave my husband and I at its mercy parenting in the fetal position from the couch on Saturday. Our only saving grace was that the kids were feeling good enough to play together, and yes we did use the tv as a babysitter at times just to make it through but we made it and let me tell you I’ve never looked forward to a Monday more in my life! People have asked me “Does your homemade sunscreen work?” The answer is YES! I wore two tank tops today and applied the homemade sunscreen I made last summer on my shoulders but forgot to get the space in between tank top #1 and tank top #2. I was out doing yard work today in full sun from 10am till 1pm. My shoulders, arms and face did not burn one bit but that space that I forgot got it bad. Thanks to an application of Aloe it started feeling better pretty quick.
