Happy New Year’s, everyone!

I wanted to take the time to say thank you for being so patient during my frequent hiatuses and absences. I can’t apologize for taking them; 2024 was a wild ride of a year, and I couldn’t write without being unable to take care of myself, and if I couldn’t do that, I couldn’t guarantee my writing would be up to par.

I do hope that 2025 will be a better year for writing in general. I have missed talking to you all and reading your comments and sharing the stories that linger in the darkest parts of my heart terribly. But as we all know by now, life can change in a split second, so unlike in the past, I do not want to make promises I may be unable to keep.

I just wanted to thank you and all and say I love you. You guys reinvigorated my love for writing years ago. If you had told me I’d have finished a novel that was over 100k words in 2019 and early 2020, I would have laughed.

But I did. Because of your comments and interactions with me, making it feel like my words weren’t simply being thrown into a void.

I also want to thank my friends in particular, @raindrop-on-a-spiderweb @moonlight-drawn-by-dawn @jane-imes and @higokuni .These guys are the best to talk to, not just chatting about characters and scenarios, but in general. Love you guys, and I hope 2025 is better for all of us than 2024 was.

It may look cute but…well, just wait and see. :)

Shinichiro Clerval awakens to his Sparrow nestled in the crook of his arm, still deeply asleep. Small glints of sunlight creep into her bedroom; it is still early morning, and he must get up soon. He is a doctor after all, his patients do not and cannot wait for him to be ready.

Gently, so as not to awaken his beloved, he brushes a strand of her hair away from her face, noting how the white roots almost glow silver in the dark light, the way they slowly morph into deep ebony. A consequence of her creation, of his molding and shaping and perfecting her.

He doesn’t mind the white roots.

It’s one of the many visible indicators of just who she belongs to.

Slowly he drops his hand, brushing the faint scars on her face, her cheekbone, where he had replaced the ruined flesh from her old life. Smooths out her collarbone, and his hand goes lower, feeling the subtle hard lines of the scars on her stomach, and now he rubs her thigh.

Sparrow moans faintly in her sleep, and he smiles and softly kisses her cheek, right at the scar line. He had tried his best to find skin that was the same as hers before, but all he could find in such a short amount of time was skin that was a little darker, only noticeable if someone looked at her too deeply, which nobody ever did. She never comes out when he has to bring a patient to their home.

Her eyelids begin to flutter as he pushes the blankets off her body, as his lips go lower and lower, kissing each scar on her body. These beautiful scars that saved her, that mark her as his; he brought her back, her life is in his hands.

Literally had a dream last night this blog was randomly deleted due to lack of activity, so decided to post something! Been a while I know. But with work and trying to work on stories to query, I haven’t had as much time for A03 as I have in the past. I hope to change this. Just be patient a little longer; Her Cross to Carry has undergone EXTREME revisions to make it more religious horror, and that is taking time…Amaranthus has also undergone revisions too. I’m still working on them, it just takes a while to outline and put everything in order.

Planning any new stories?

As a matter of fact…yes I am 👀

It’s going to be about a detective and a serial killer who manage to develop a psychic connection and take mind games to another level. They can sense the other’s thoughts, feel their emotions, and visit their dreams. They’re in the palms of each other’s hands, and can one escape, or will they fall together?

Although at this point I am debating. Since the heart of the story is the protagonist and her boyfriend who actually have a very healthy relationship, whether to remove the psychic connection and make it more down to earth mind games haha. Still thinking about it.

This is Hye-jin Song, the main character. A tough detective who despite her occupation, still has hope for the world.

Donovan Bell, her devoted boyfriend and soon to be fiancé. He’s a novelist.

And this is Dillon, Donovan’s twin brother AND the serial killer she’s hunting. He’s an artist.
