I need a distraction after last night‘s episode so I’m gonna be pivoting to a different fandom right now.

This one is going to be about Beyond the Spider-verse. I know everyone’s excited for the movie coming out in 2027 and I’m excited for it too, but right now I just wanna focus on something that I consider important, which is the soundtrack. Who’s gonna be doing the soundtrack?

First, we had just like a really amazing collection of black artists for the first movie and then we had Metro Boomin do the second movie.

I’m just proposing that for the third movie that Kendrick does the soundtrack. Now I get it, he’s LA and Miles is definitely a New York boy, but I think he can find a way to make it work. So I propose Kendrick for beyond the spider verse soundtrack.

I’m being so serious right now, like more serious than I’ve ever been about this show.

What they have just done to this show has completely damaged the experience I’ve had watching this show for the last couple years.

I definitely mean it when I say, that if by the s8 finale they don’t find a way to pull this shit out the ground they stomped it on, I will not be coming back for s9. Bobby was the heart, soul, and core of this show and no amount of Buddie can make up for that fact. I didn’t come to this show for a Grey’s Anatomy or Chicago Fire rip off I came for the personal connections and found family.

This has destroyed the trust and unspoken understanding that these characters will make it out. Had this been set up as a precedent in the early days like s3-4… then fine, whatever. But no, we are 8 seasons deep and 3 eps out from the finale, you cannot just change it up for shits and giggles then claim “we’re adding stakes”.

I will finish this season out, but if these aren’t the absolute best episodes ever fucking seen, then I will not be coming back. Y’all can let me know if Buddie ever happens but with the way things are headed we might not even get that.
