21 Life Lessons I’ve Learned in 21 Years

I really feel blessed reaching this age. Throughout in life, we learn something everyday and I think these 21 things I’ve learned throughout my journey must be shared. Keep reading guys and I hope I can inspire everyone!

1. Change is good.

- Don’t be afraid of it. Always change for the better.

2. You are not perfect.

- It’s always okay to be bad at something. If you feel like someone is better than you, don’t forget that you are unique. You have your own weaknesses.

3. If you know you have a character flaw, fix it.

- Keep yourself improving everyday.

4. Let others keep talking while you silently work for your own success.

- You don’t need to shout your success because your friend does. Others waste time talking about their success instead of taking that time to proceed to the next level.

5. You were born naked. Don’t be ashamed of yourself.

- We all have our own flaws. If you feel ashamed of yourself, then you don’t deserve yourself.

6. You don’t need to defend yourself to others.

- Don’t waste your time proving yourself to others. You owe them nothing.

7. Stop talking about yesterday.

- Yesterday had passed by, talking about it makes no sense.

8. Forgiveness is where real peace at.

- If you don’t feel like forgiving someone, just try thinking today is your last day.

9. Listen more, talk less.

- Listening is where you get wisdom, talking is where you hurt someone.

10. Always look at the positive side.

- Even your darkest day has at least one positive thing, you are alive.

11. Nothing is impossible.

- If you can think about it, then it’s possible.

12. Dream big

- Go on extra miles just in case you fall short. Your dream is your fuel to success.

13. Never give up

- Giving up is not a solution, not even a last choice.

14. Work for the undeniable breakthrough

- Don’t let your dream be just a dream. Wake up, life is now, work for it!

15. Passion makes life easier

- If you don’t feel like doing it, then don’t. You can’t force yourself to do something you don’t love.

16. Life is now.

- Think about today, not yesterday, not even tomorrow. Buy something you need now, not something you hope you will need in the future because you might be forgetting your necessity today.

17. Communication is key to any relationship

-  Communication without understanding is just purely talking. Good communication calms all arguments.

18. Don’t let people guess what you feel.

- If you don’t express your feelings, don’t expect other people to understand you.

19. Nothing is free, work for yourself.

- Life is a pay to play. When you want something to happen, let it happen. Move!

20. Delayed gratification helps

- Resisting temptation is good. Resist getting your reward now or get no double rewards later.

21. Get rid of toxic in life.

- Sometimes, it’s good to let go of someone if the relationship is unhealthy.

I would like to thank the Lord for giving me strength to live everyday. Thanks to my parents, family and friends for the trust and love. This is another beginning and I promise myself to do better in life everyday. I hope you guys do as well!

Meet My New Friend: foodpanda

Satisfy your cravings at the comfort of your home this rainy season.

Umbrellas, wet shoes, and traffic; the rainy season has officially arrived. Booooo!

Given this scenario, normal activities such as eating out, watching movies, or hanging out with friends become more difficult and staying in gets even more tempting. Fortunately,we can now do almost everything online, from movie streaming, shopping, and even ordering food! This is made possible by the increasing number of mobile apps today offering digital services like foodpanda. foodpanda is an online food delivery platform that enables users to access a variety of restaurants from their mobile phones or desktop computer. With this app, people don’t need to wait in traffic or restaurant queues anymore, their food cravings are always just a few clicks away..

How to use the app:

Step 1: Enter your location.

Users can opt to use their current location or set it to place where they want the food to be delivered if they’re planning to send it to a friend or family member; the app will then give a list of restaurants within  3 kilometer radius (this is to ensure that the food will be in mint condition upon arrival).

Step 2: Choose a restaurant.

foodpanda has over 1,000 partner restaurants in Metro Manila and Cebu. From Japanese, to Chinese, to American, to Mediterranean, whatever cuisine you’re craving for, foodpanda will be there to satisfy your cravings.

  Step 3: Choose from the menu of your restaurant of choice.

The prices of the menu items as well as the minimum order are shown in the app. Users are also notified regarding promos offered by the restaurants.

Step 4: Add your desired menu item to your basket.

You can go back and add 1, or 2, or 5 more items to your basket. Note that, for most restaurants, the delivery charge is just P59.00 no matter how much your total food bill is.

 Step 5: Ensure you’ve gotten all that you need to satisfy your cravings and then proceed to checkout.

Step 6: Input your exact delivery address.

You can also input specific delivery instructions.

Step 7: Choose which payment method you prefer.

Depending on therestaurant, foodpanda accepts cash on delivery and online payment via all major credit cards and paypal.

 Step 8: Check your order details and make sure that everything is correct.

Click on Place Order and patiently wait for your order to arrive. The app has a timer that automatically starts once you place an order. The default waiting time is 60 minutes after the restaurant has confirmed receipt of your order and if you have other concerns, you can talk to a customer service representative via the Live Chat function both in the app and desktop site.

 Now that everything is accessible online, people can order through the app and just wait for their food to be delivered at home. You can eat your favorite food without the hassle of going out, stream and play your favorite movies and shows while waiting, and relax with loved ones all at the comfort of your home. Earth Toned

Hello everyone! In this blog post, I’m gonna share to you how I went out of my comfort zone when it comes to the tones of my OOTD.

As you guys can mostly see on my Instagram posts, I usually get out of my house wearing either black or basic clothes. OOTD shots on plain, clean and more often than not, white walls.

I have obsession in black and plain outfits like pullovers, jeans and sneakers because I think that’s where I’m comfortable(when people would always see me wearing black) and most of all, OOTD-ly safe.

Being able to experiment colors on my daily outfits is never easy, I bet you feel the same way too? Or nah? This is the reason why I challenged myself to try something which I thought didn’t define me on the first place.

The first thing came to my mind is to disregard all the possible dark tones I would wear. I love wearing oversized polo, pulling over longsleeves shirts or layering. Well, that’s how I style myself so I added new tones on that style.

Trying out something new doesn’t really mean changing yourself. It’s just a matter of going out of your comfort zone. That’s it. So for you guys, who might want to consider experimenting colors on your OOTDs, try out something you don’t usually end-up with when starting a regular day.

Dew Nation Satisfies the Thirst for Thrills

Yesterday, me and my blogger friends attended the most exciting activities at the center of Bonifacio Global City for an epic weekend made for adrenaline junkies and thrill seekers alike. 

The Dew Nation HQ is a campaign that challenges us, Mountain Dew fans, to pursue our passion while having fun.

During the event, Mountain Dew’s Dew Nation HQ featured a dirt track made for a wild round of dirt racing for those with a need for speed. Racers got to take Mountain Dew’s 4x4 ATV’s out for a spin and definitely got their fix of speed.

Gamers were given the opportunity for friendly matches with fellow Dew gamers in a gaming hub. Dew Nation HQ had multiple Virtual Reality consoles for a more hands-on and active gaming experience. There was a noticeable learning curve but everyone seemed to be getting the hang of things and enjoyed the experience altogether.

Mountain Dew fans definitely made the right choice not to pass up the opportunity to join their fellow thrill seekers in making history. The stage for an epic weekend had been set and all that was missing were people to join in the mayhem.

It just reminds me those times when my dad would start a heart to heart convo whenever we had a bonding moment. My Style X Regatta

So here's an OOTD blog to start my travel story in Ilocos...

Our first location was at Kapurpurawan Rock Formation in Burgos, Ilocos Norte. Vacation won't be completed without taking home photos. Since the place is located on the rocky coast, I thought of wearing a  bit classy bright-toned outfit which best matched the creamy white and streamlined limestone formations.

Good thing I got my whole outfit covered by Regatta Philippines and thus matching my style on our first stopover made easy.

On this outfit, I was wearing a white button down polo and cream stretchable trousers. I assure you guys, I was comfy at this time!

Mega Man X Converse Music Festival

It was a rocking night of great music and style at the MEGA Man x Converse Fashion & Music Festival held at Burgos Park in Forbes Town Center, Fort Bonifacio last March 23. It was a collaboration of Mega Man Magazine and Converse Philippines.

The event featured some of Manila's best college bands: St. Wolf from De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, The Subspring from Far Eastern University, Sour Cheeks from University of the Philippines, and Papapeta from University of Sto. Tomas while a performance by Young JV gave the festival some hip-hop flavor.

Headlining the festival were three of the country's biggest and most revered artists in the local music scene: Mayonnaise, Silent Sanctuary, and Kwjan.

Another highlight of the event was a fashion show by Converse featuring their Spring-Summer 2017 collection and  the ‘Forever Chuck’ campaign.

So, here is my contribution. This is my music festival look during the fun night filled with music and fashion!

It is somehow satisfying when I get to involve myself in the events where I get to experience the things I love. This time, it is the music plus fashion festival! More music fest participation this summer. Yay!

Take It From Eric Cua

"The sun was extraordinarily brilliant making me instantly aware that this day is beyond special"

Here is an excerpt from my Valedictory speech delivered today. I hope you guys can get something out of this.

"When I woke up this morning, I was completely taken by how bright the day seemed. The sun was extraordinarily brilliant. Everything looked wonderful; making me instantly aware that this day is beyond special.  Standing before you now, a great feeling of honor fills my heart. I feel truly privileged to speak in front of such an esteemed audience and be the one to represent the intelligent and brave graduates of this year, batch 2017.

Today marks a new milestone for us, graduates, and I would like to take this moment to acknowledge everyone who made it to this glorious day. Today is for all of us.  Today is not only for awardees. More than anything, today is for those who persevered and did not falter. Today is for everyone who failed and stumbled. Today is for those who burned the midnight oil and almost gave up but never lost hope. Let's all put our hands together for that.

The mere fact that we are here today makes us all achievers. It proves our great capacity to overcome the odds. It proves our innate resilience. And I know this because I have lived it. You look at me now and think that I was probably the model student, the one who got all the high marks. But actually, I was a bit of a problem child. Back in primary school, I failed all my subjects. Take note, ALL, which includes Arts and Physical Education. I was a failure.

For some people, it’s easy to deride others failures. It is easy for them to just shrug it off with platitudes as “mag-aral ka na lang ng mabuti,” or “bumawi ka na lang”, “ayos lang yan”. Agree? Let me tell you now, those words do not help much. You do not know the inner struggle of saying “Ma, Pa, bagsak ako”. You do not know the toll it takes just thinking “pasado kaya ako?”, “ano kayang grade ko?” You do not know the torment of working so hard only to be told that you have not worked hard enough.

During these times, we wish we could have someone not to judge us but someone who can lift us, someone…at least one person who still believes that we can make it all up even if we're almost quitting deep inside.

Me myself, I had always been somewhere in between "hindi magaling" and "pwede na" because I felt that no one cared anyway so my performance was just that --- "tama lang". But everything changed when I entered college. Here at PCC, I was made to feel that I could rise above the mediocrity that I have allowed others to box me into. For the first time in a long while, I began to believe I could do better, that I could lift myself higher. PCC helped me to shape myself into the person you see today. Where my parents gave me unconditional support and love, PCC gave me the validation that I can truly become everything I have hoped to be. It is in these hallowed halls that I finally discovered myself--- my talents, my strengths, my capabilities.

In life, it only takes one person who will trust and bring out the best in us to change the whole game. It takes only one person to believe in us that we can triumph to propel us forward. For the one who failed, for the one who stumbled, for the one who almost gave up, find someone who's always there to believe you. They really help.

Let’s Go Lokal!

Robinsons Department Store launched the first ever Go Lokal! store in Robinsons Place Manila last Friday.

Robinsons Department Store partnered with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to provide a marketplace for the creations of innovative Philippine micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

This new market access platform via a design-led concept store is set to revolutionize the way hard-to-find and artisanal Filipino products are sold in the local market, and will bring together a specially-curated line-up that ranges from food, apparel, accessories, home décor, gadgets and gift items.

I am lucky to become part of this event because I am a fan of local and 100% Filipino-made products. This reminds me how we supported MSMEs back in our Marketing Management class through the marketing plan we contributed for local makers of premium instant salabat (Ginger Brew). Converse Philippines X Inquirer

Converse Philippines collaborated with Inquirer on the 8th Edition of Face-Off #OOTD.

The Face-Off #OOTD event was a fashion show organized by Lookbook and Inquirer Lifestyle together with their major sponsor, Converse. The show featured the works of all-time local fashion gurus like Cary Santiago, Randy Ortiz, Rhett Eala, Rajo Laurel, JC Buendia, Mike de la Rosa, Efren Ocampo, Vic Barba, Pablo Cabahug, Albert Andrada, Ito Curata and Lulu Tan-Gan.

On this Face-Off, I have to showcase my #OOTD as well like those fashionista kiddos who catwalked at the event! So, I brought out my inner sporty style for a change. On this get-up, I layered my plain black shirt with a bright athletic jacket to add some color on my outfit. To provide some color pattern, I coordinated the tone of my top with my running kicks which I suppose would have made me look like a more organized person on the pop of yellow thing. Haha!

The event wrapped up showcasing altogether the featured designers and models wearing the designs on a fast catwalk and not to mention, on their Converse kicks!

And to show you guys I what I brought home, CONVERSE! Yay, new baby! I already unwrapped it. Check this out. I can now run on the runway. Haha! #FOREVERCHUCK

OPPO X PHILIPPINES’ NEXT TOP MODEL

Last February 18, I was one of the lucky guests to witness the biggest collaboration of this year, OPPO X PHILIPPINES' NEXT TOP MODEL.

In a gala held at City of Dreams Manila, mobile technology brand OPPO announced that it will be a major sponsor of the Philippines’ Next Top Model (PNTM): High Street, the latest incarnation of the model search’s Philippine franchise which will be aired on TV5, Kapatid Network.  It was a selfie party night indeed!

As what I've heard, PNTM will push through the whole reality show with Oppo.  So, to give you some idea, here’s a sneak peak when a mobile  technology brand and a reality show work together. Seems interesting right?

Of course, since I had the chance to meet and greet the contestants, no way  I couldn’t be presentable. (They are all gorgeous 😍) This was my OOTN. It  was a formal event so  I’ve decided to bring out my inner dapper style. In this photo, I’m wearing longsleeves polo and layered it with a leather jacket. This outfit gone through the day from schooling to partying, which I think was enough to give a stylish look on my formal attire without being overdressed or underdressed both in school and during the  event. Well, I could have worn a suit and tie but I reserve that style for a much formal event.

All about that night was awesome! Beautiful models and selfies all around. Haha! Here are some of the photographs taken during the launch!

Last February 8, I collaborated with one of the best studios in Manila for my graduation pictorial.

Graduation day is fast approaching. As part of the preparation for that special day, everyone has to do their best shot in graduation pictorial. New Year #OOTD

Happy Chinese New Year! 紅包拿來. Haha! Who among you got their angpaos? Anyway, Here goes my outift for the first day of 2017!

When 2016 started, I also started to have an obsession on basic colors, namely: gray, white and black. As a result, I turned my IG feed to one, as well as color coordinating my style with the basics.

I have this feeling that I am safe choosing these colors and their shades, especially gray.

As a proof, in this OOTD post, I am wearing a gray pull-over from Tao Yuan. (my bro sent me this, yay!) I partnered it with my black pants and sneakers.

You know what? Whenever I wear this kind of layout, I feel like I can go through the day may be it in school, party or events. Why? simply because this outift gone through the whole day from work, school, event and party in just one day! (Not that lakwatsero guy, just multi-tasking Haha)
