Sirius Black loved so many things, but all of them were ruined by his parents

He loved his music lessons, loved playing the piano and the violin, loved expressing himself that way but he hated when his parents would step in and tell him his notes were off or that he’s doing a poor job.

Sirius loved drawing, especially capturing scenes in real time, sometimes from his head. Not his parents telling him the way he draws is absurd and unacceptable.

The boy loved dressing up. What with the status of his parents, he’s in a well fitted suit nearly 24/7, he wouln’t’ve minded if not for the constant pull to the shoulder and angry looks from his mother the second he begins to slouch.

He didn’t mind reading either, he’ll go to the family’s library and pick out the most stunning books and read them, really commit to it. Sirius would’ve been a bigger book nerd than Remus had it not for people telling him what he can and can’t read or what he should and shouldn’t understand.

For the longest time, Sirius had no idea of what a childhood looks like. He forced himself to love his parents despite the instinctive hatred he held for them. But the sharp words and slaps and punishments he got from them when doing normal children things ruined that too.

Moral of the story, Sirius was Sirius because he forced himself to forget so much of the things he would’ve loved if it wasn’t for his ass parents.
