I keep seeing practitioners online say they re "working with" 8-15 different deities, and I just have to ask... how?

How are you maintaining genuine relationships with that many divine beings while also living your actual human life? If you're genuinely working with that many different gods and goddesses, when do you have time to truly connect with any of them meaningfully?

Logistics Issue:

How do you keep track? When do you study their myths, honor their traditions, or sit quietly and listen to what they might be trying to tell you?

How do you keep all of their different offerings straight, remember their individual personalities, or avoid accidentally mixing up their correspondences?

The mental load alone of maintaining that many divine relationships would be overwhelming…

Deities Are Not Vending Machines:

Deities are not dispensers.

True deity work is about building authentic relationships, and relationships take time, energy, and genuine devotion.

Deities are not there to dispense blessings like a vending machine every time you light a candle and ask for something. Deities are complex beings with their own personalities, preferences, and expectations.

Quality Over Quantity:

Most experienced practitioners work closely with one, two, three, maybe four deities at most.

Red Flag #1 - They Claim You're 'Cursed' and Offer A Removal for $$$

Real practitioners don't create fear to make sales, and they also will not seek you out either. If someone tells you that you're doomed without their expensive curse removal, start running.

Red Flag #2 - They Promise Overnight Life Transformations

"You're soulmate will appear within 3 days!" "Lose 20 pounds in a week with this spell!" "Win the lottery this week!" Magick works on its own clock; there is no set timeline of when your spell will work!

Red Flag #3 - They Use Fear Tactics To Control You

"Something dark is attached to you!" "Your family is in terrible danger!"

Fear-mongering is manipulation! This is not genuine spiritual guidance!

Red Flag #4 - They Ask for Banking Info for 'Energy Clearing'

Spiritual work NEVER requires your Social Security number, bank details, or passwords. This is identity theft disguised as magick!!

Red Flag #5 - They Use High-Pressure Emotional Manipulation

"You MUST decide right away or something terrible will happen!" "If you don't book with me today, the curse will get worse!"

Creating panic about your spiritual safety to force immediate decisions is predatory and greedy behavior!

Red Flag #6 - Fake Reviews or Sketchy Online Presence

The New Moon in Cancer this evening is all about emotional renewal and trusting your intuition. Cancer energy naturally pulls us toward home, comfort, and the people we care about the most. This new moon is a powerful time to set intentions around healing, whether that's old family patterns, relationship dynamics, or just giving yourself permission to feel your feelings without judgment. The new moon gives us a clean slate, and Cancer's nurturing energy points out that growth happens for us when we feel safe and supported. Pay attention to what your gut is telling you right now!

Spell Work for This New Moon

Home Protection Ritual Light a white candle in each room (or carry one around). As you do, set the intention that your space is protected and peaceful. Let each candle burn for at least 30 minutes while you tidy or just sit quietly in each room.
