I keep seeing practitioners online say they re "working with" 8-15 different deities, and I just have to ask... how?

How are you maintaining genuine relationships with that many divine beings while also living your actual human life? If you're genuinely working with that many different gods and goddesses, when do you have time to truly connect with any of them meaningfully?

Logistics Issue:

How do you keep track? When do you study their myths, honor their traditions, or sit quietly and listen to what they might be trying to tell you?

How do you keep all of their different offerings straight, remember their individual personalities, or avoid accidentally mixing up their correspondences?

The mental load alone of maintaining that many divine relationships would be overwhelming…

Deities Are Not Vending Machines:

Deities are not dispensers.

True deity work is about building authentic relationships, and relationships take time, energy, and genuine devotion.

Deities are not there to dispense blessings like a vending machine every time you light a candle and ask for something. Deities are complex beings with their own personalities, preferences, and expectations.

Quality Over Quantity:

Most experienced practitioners work closely with one, two, three, maybe four deities at most.

They spend years developing these relationships, learning the tones of each deity's energy, and building trust through consistent practice and devotion. Deep, meaningful connections take time to cultivate and maintain properly.

The Better Approach:

It's totally fine to feel drawn to multiple deities at once, completely normal! But feeling drawn to a deity and actively working with them are two very different things.

Maybe start by choosing one deity who really calls to you and focus on building that relationship first. Your spiritual practice isn't a competition, and you don't get bonus points for having the longest list of divine contacts.

"You're soulmate will appear within 3 days!" "Lose 20 pounds in a week with this spell!" "Win the lottery this week!" Magick works on its own clock; there is no set timeline of when your spell will work!

Red Flag #3 - They Use Fear Tactics To Control You

"Something dark is attached to you!" "Your family is in terrible danger!"

Fear-mongering is manipulation! This is not genuine spiritual guidance!

Red Flag #4 - They Ask for Banking Info for 'Energy Clearing'
