The shapeshifter from Monster Movie is an icon.

Watching supernatural for the first time (yeah i know) and I absolutely died during the Monster Movie episode in season four. 

First off the meta nature of it is such an intense (and almost certainly unintentional) homage to the dracula book and that makes a gothic lit nerd like me giddy.

Then there’s the absolute commitment from the shapeshifter, he calls everyone characters names does costumes, makes sets and uses props, an absolute madlad. 

Uses the name Lucy. Cape flourishes nonstop. Argues with the pizza man over garlic. 

And how he dies getting shot and then taking time to collapse elegantly  and monologue. 

Such a icon, love the mad lad and sorry to see him go.

Over Explained: Shera Who Says Fuck?

Glimmer says fuck constantly though her mother is always at her to stop and her aunt has a swear jar handy at all times.

Bow never said fuck before he meet Glimmer, but now whenever it’s just them he can’t help but say fuck every time his tracker pad isn’t working.

Queen Angella uses Glimmah as a swear.

King Micah only said fuck once as a kid but blames himself for Glimmer’s profanity.

Adora said fuck once but Shadoweaver heard and blamed Catra. She vowed to never say it again. When she’s captive and Glimmer is dropping f-bombs left and right she sees it as confirmation of the princesses’ evil (before becoming Shera of course).

Catra says fuck because she knows it would piss off Shadoweaver but would never say it in front of the witch. Most of the time she just knocks things over while looking the person she’s mad at dead in the eye. After Shadoweaver died Catra started saying “Fuck You” every time she passed her grave.

Perfuma has slipped up and said fuck repeatedly but’s it’s her deepest darkest secret.

No one knows if Spinnerella or Netossa say fuck.

Frosta says fuck with immeasurable glee as frequently as possible.

Wrong Hordak says Fuck even though he clearly doesn’t know what it means.

Horde Prime does not say fuck and will banish any clone who dare say such an impure word.

Hordak says fuck constantly under his breath but still blames Catra when imp starts to say fuck. It has genuinely never occurred to him that he might’ve taught Imp the word. He was banished for saying fuck but he has never realized it. Hordak covers Entrapta’s ears when other people say fuck.

Entrapta could say fuck if she wanted to but is more interested in when other people say fuck. She had record of every time someone around her has said fuck for science.

Scorpia has never said fuck and is more apt to say gee, goly, or garsh.

She just smiles fondly when Catra or Frosta says fuck in front of her.

Seahawk doesn’t understand why people say fuck when they can just say adventure.

Mermista says fuck when Seahawk does something cute but she can’t acknowledge it because that would be embarassing.  

Huntara says fuck but like skater bros say dude.

Double Trouble says “FUUUUCCCCKKK” as themselves but can say fuck differently on cue.

Lonnie says fuck but mostly in respect to Kyle.

Kyle screams fuck at the slightest hint of danger.

Rogelio says fuck constantly but no one can understand him.

Noi though,

So I am obsessed right now with Noi from Dorohedoro having finished the manga two days ago. 

She’s a buff woman of immense size who I could happily die being crushed by. She has gorgeous maroon eyes and dresses like a goth dom, a classy business woman, and a practical hitwoman and each look kills. 

But that’s just the surface. This woman is cheery as can be and that in no way undermines how badass she is. She’s proud of her body regardless of its size and is okay with showing skin (not to mention never ashamed of it). 

This woman is not the sidelined damsel who’s embarrassed if her crush so much as looks at her. She is one of the most fearsome characters in the manga and a true equal to her partner. Noi shows an easy comfort around Shin. 

TLDR Noi is a damn goddess, and we should worship her.

Comic appreciation, panels with no context from Young Avengers (2005). This series definitely has flaws, pacing being a big one of them, but it’s still a wonderful ride. We’ve got the fantastic Wiccan and Hulkling being adorable nerdy gays. We’ve got Kate Bishop being a badass wild child who doesn’t get any flack for being unabashedly feminine. And finally we’ve got Jessica Jones one of my all time favorite marvel ladies not standing for anybodies bullshit.

Somebody finally noticed! 

Manga spoiler Jujutsu Kaisen Itadori has some weird mojo that is constantly making people think of him as family/loved ones and I’ve been silently waiting for it to be brought up because it’s hella suspicious. Good on Panda.

So I’ve read three manga in the last day and none of the damn things are finished. As is probably obvious Jujutsu Kaisen was the latest after Talentless Nana, and a dash of Yuukoku no Moriarity. Two were good and one I just read for the yuri and Akuma no Riddle vibes. 

Apparently I need to calm the fuck down, and probably write shit.
