whilst i am all in favour of the idea that he's "loud jumpy adhd tbh creature" i personally believe that that little guy is INCAPABLE of social interaction upon introduction. like. look at his canon design, look at his original story.

hai ur asking for Toby headcannon………… Toby is also my fave and I’m obsessed with him. He keeps a journal where he lists everything that happens in a day so he never forgets them and also describes exactly what he does to kill someone and how it works, usually with a vivid description or drawing of the body. He also generally just draws most of the people he knows dead. It’s almost a comfort for him bc he isn’t really alive either. Because he doesn’t feel pain while in public (at concerts mainly) he will enact wild instances of self harm that are just . Body horror for the sillies. Also he fucks with in the aeroplane over the sea

he is a FREAK. toby likes to injure himself in front of others just to get a reaction. that's the reason behind a lot of the fucked up shit he does. i also agree with the journal and drawing. i think drawing is something he just does for funsies and not really something he's trying to improve at (but he's really stinkin good), and he does it purely to draw gore bc that's something he finds beauty in. but i do believe he is alive, just unable to get hurt for long because his body has decreased healing time thanks to

slenderman

but he loves to take advantage of the whole 'can't feel pain' thing and like. good for him!

i've read about a lot of different versions of Toby's over the years and it's so fun to see how everyone thinks of my manic little guy so tysm!!

i love freaky toby. toby who has a dark sense of humor and is so out of touch socially that he says the most fucked up shit with a straight face and gets confused when those around him don't laugh. only to laugh at the weirded out expressions everyone makes. he likes to freak people out as much as he likes to make them laugh. he's kind to those he considers friends, but his perception of kindness is so warped that he gets mean with his teasing jabs. he WILL joke about your dead dog and then comfort you after. very hit or miss. if he's nice or not with his fluctuating mood swings, but he's still just a guy. (and i'm still in love with him)

but he's a chill guy methinks. he likes nature and has a good taste in music (midwest emo stuff in my opinion). he doesn't talk a lot but when he does he makes good conversation if you don't mind the jokes about dismemberment.

everyone forgets that he's not some happy go lucky guy, but a literal mentally ill serial killer. sure, toby can be nice, but he struggles with empathizing with others

when he gets too into the moment on the job, he'll straight up start mocking his victim. laughing at their pain, mimicking their pleas for their lives, because he just doesn't understand what could make someone scream like that as if he didn't just drive a hatchet into their chest. he feels bad about it later but that's for another post.
