Excuse me, Seidr
I just don't wanna have... Whatever you want to create. I cannot even raise a plant properly and this character offers me that. Considering how Njördr is involved, I feel betrayed. Hopefully he gets to be the villain.
But if the main thought wasn't enough to get Seidr out of my sight, I can offer 20 more reasons:
Tumblr media
And there'll be more.
Fortunately my FEH OC is not the summoner, so the proposal's not for her. Even so, she'd be quite alarmed to hear such a red flag.

So... Book VI ending
When I saw the video for Hardin I was inmensely happy, but didn't expect him to come home three times, the first two being at fucking 3%. And this luck in general, I was going to pick Ganglöt at 40 summons anyways.
Starting to save orbs again, but surely worth it.
Tumblr media
The book itself was better than I thought, considering I was expecting another book III. Surely it was bad to see Letizia gone so soon and all of Bruno's situation made me angry (I expected it, but Alfonse gets on my nerves). Ash and Elm were underdeveloped, considering their similarity to certain Skyward Sword characters. He appeared too often without getting any personality and she was often forgotten. I guess she's still alive if nothing's been said?
Embla was far better than expected, though (besides her majestic designs). Fáfnir and Eitri are the best ones, but she's done quite a good job for a Heroes villain. And Askr wasn't bland at all, so nice to see him.
What do I think will be book VII? Either a completely new book like IV or V, or some crossover of characters like Líf or Bruno, if Thórr and Loki are planning something. We might get and ending video soon, and these tend to be quite interesting. Or we'll wait until the FEH channel happens.
Anyways, I gave one of the axes to my favourite secondary villain:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ganglöt's skills just seem to be made for him, so I started working a bit on it. He still has to learn Joint Dist. Guard and get the refine, but he already got little damage from Pent before learning QR4. Pent, the fucking legend. Perhaps he'll get a Prf. weapon soon, but it was such a good opportunity.
And here he is, next to Fáfnir. He's like a mix of all SS villains, so it's cool to see them standing next to each other.
Anyways, the Forging Bonds supports have been quite good this time. Bantu teaching Tiki how not to be racist (even if it follows the boring dragon-children structure), Elice bonding with people... The most predictable plot was Hardin's but it was very well done, but surely the best one was Nyna's. But that might be because Dagr's one of my favourite FEH characters.
Also, Hardin's confession... 😢 Why does he have to suffer so much. At least in one of his voice lines has him calling us a friend. I'm intrigued to see Ganglöt's confession, too.
Also, where the fuck is the summoner in the story? I'm glad we got a bit of Sharena screentime, but we need more.

Let's face it, the favourite is Jeralt
Like we rarely get dilfs in FEH (specially a certain FE7 one), and I thought we'd have to wait for a Love Abounds banner. He's for free and might build him, depending on his weapon and stats. Speaking about the winners, tho:
Seliph: we feared him getting the main lord treatment. Would have been much better to be themed after Deirdre, Julia or other characters that have been mentioned. But IS must have seen everyone using L!Sigurd in Arena and gone the easy way. He joins the "honorary GBA lord" group tho xD.
Byleth: the most predictable choice of theme, but others would have been fine too. I think she'll be near Micaiah-Lysithea in terms of usefulness, but there are other mage options that can do that too. I'm okay with that, since variety should be maintained.
Tiki: okay, most of us expected something better than her young outfit. Some reference to either Naga or Marth, but it's clearly not PenekoR's fault. Have you seen which characters they tend to draw? Males that are (almost) villains and strong females. I don't imagine them saying "yeah, I'll make Tiki cute again".
Chrom: my most disliked lord. If you've played Awakening, you know that all the other characters' presence is none-existent in story, except perhaps Lucina and Say-ri. So there was no way he'd reference his sisters. I have a pair of merges on Eirika, so don't care much. With Kozaki's style he looks more like Alfonse but it's not bad, and we know they can draw a wide variety of characters.
So might summon a bit till the first celestial stone. Probably Tiki's the most useful one since there was an enormous amount of buffs. And Seliph might have an interesting gameplay style. Don't have Sigurd so might be a good option. I'll check the other opinions.
Also, poor choices of outfit have nothing to do with the artists who obeyed orders. Why would people be so childish to DM them about characters that have plenty of alts? Also, the drawings themselves are good, better than other brave units. Pull yourselves together, it's easy to skip a banner.

Considering that even my husband is in Forging Bonds, I'd say that this chapter has been dedicated to a certain part of the fandom.
Tumblr media
Bruno didn't die but show his face instead, after we waited for so long. And he did it at Askr's request! This man has literally improved book 6 in just a few dialogues. I was expecting something lime Freyr, but he's much more. Fáfnir's still my fave, but I already like Askr a lot.
Also, Veronica's new design is great. And Ash has already shown a bit more of personality, these last chapters. She and Elm still give me Fi/Ghirahim vibes, so we'll see what happens.
Also, Celica having an Ascendant gives me mixed feelings. On one side, these kind of alts tend to repeat some characters too much instead of bringing new ones, but I'm glad it's her and not some other main lord. It's been long since she had a powerful alt, but finally her point of view gets adressed here. Despite me not being religious, I always thought she was one of the most interesting main lords. So I'm glad that they finally speak about Mila, Duma, and gods from other worlds. I wish they included both siblings in the FB dialogues, but I doubt they will.
The only thing that I hope is that when Eir gets her resplendant, she won't stop being herself. It's very interesting to see the difference between death and life powers, but I'm afraid of her becoming like Midori did in their dialogue.
Also, the funny thing is me tagging Corrin by both their english and japanese names in a previous post, and then Kamui being anounced.

Yes I did swap to the Alliance to get front row seats to Turalyon's dethroning.
I have been in the Horde for Garrosh's and Sylvanas' dethroning, it's only fair I participate in Turalyon's.

The dialogue gave me Kaze vibes, Fates spoilers ahead:
We already know that IS has done many times the "young girl gets kidnapped and becomes the villain's daughter": Altena, Nino, Corrin, Eir... And there's always a character that has connections to their biological family.
In Fates, Kaze joins you in all routes, like some other characters. But in his supports we learn that he feels guilty over Corrin's kidnapping. He somehow feels responsible about Corrin's and Sumeragi's protection, as if he had "failed both".
Kaze's fate in Birthright depends on which level he is with Corrin, in a scene where he does a similar sacrifice. And we know he couldn't have beaten Garon and his army alone, specially considering how young he must have been at the moment.
So Ymir's plot may be similar. We don't know if she used to be a close friend like Effie with Elise or a guardian figure. With dragon age, it could be a mixture of both. So next TT might be something about how she couldn't beat Hel's forces. And Eir, of course, not blaming her for it.
Also, considering that she's now in a Gunnthrá/Sothis-like state, she might appear around the same time as Arval/Hopes banner, which I hope includes Jeralt. But we still haven't seen the banner that could have Hanneman and Manuela.
Tumblr media
Wowzers! Who’s this chick and what connections does she have with Eir?
And also it seems like Ymir has something to tell us why she felt guilty for why Eir ended up in the realm of Hel…

Perhaps it's a simple sidequest, but the Hogsmeade Festival has two very nice things:
We get to choose someone else than Penny to accompany us during the investigation. In my case, Andre, really wanted to spend time with him.
That moment when we don't have a repetitive "oh, it's your fault that the festival won't happen!", but Flitwick being the best. He already trusts us and admits it openly.
Also, there's Bilton. Even if I'm not a fan of this game's "mischief", because it's very different to Harry's, I like the character.

I know this banner is Lyn's harem, but it looks like they're referring to each other.
Also, yet another month that we could have Nergal because of his relationship with New Heroes but the banner will be Legendary again? Oof. Guess I have to wait for another year, if they ever remember anything about FE7's plot.
Perhaps we'll have another Myrrh/Fae-like situation, but M!Corrin or Xander should appear soon. Wouldn't complain if we got post-TS Yuri, though.
Next year might have summer Askr and Embla, and NY!Emblians + Ash.

That fucking moment when I almost guessed the plot.
Such a shame that they're using this to clear the path for Alfonse x Veronica, but if this adds depth to the Emblians... We'll see.
And Ótr appearing again after Elm's comeback? Can't count that as a prediction, but...

I always review the fallen units so...
Here we are again. I don't usually skip these banners because they tend to involve interesting characters, and this year is no exception.
It seems there was a bit less effort than other times, but the plot seems interesting at least. Let's go one by one:
Lilith: I think she comes from that paralogue with the Awakening trio? The thing is that many Fates characters can be seen as fallen. Those that we found in Valla (Mikoto, Sumeragi, Scarlet) are a similar case. Gunter could receive the Orson-Dimitri treatment too. She'll surely bond with Corrin and perhaps Jakob/Felicia/Flora, but don't know how much. Revelations' plot was a bit lacking. Either way, I wish good luck to Anankos fans, because their hopes might have gone up.
Ninian: this is from one of the most heartbreaking chapters of the story. I'm sure the spoiler will be adressed but not mentioning it myself until I see Forging Bonds' dialogue. This time it was more relevant than other characters having brief possession/lack of control. But it still reminds me that Uhai, who was in that island, can't still be voted for CYL. At least, I have hopes of seeing Nergal as a mythic, and Athos if we ever get the Blazing Blade banner that we deserve. She also makes sense as a future ascended unit, but Nils could also be there.
Gustav: so this is why Alfonse had that edgy moment last chapter? So now Letizia somehow summons dad and she wonders why tf she got intimidated? I like seeing that he wasn't a scrapped idea, but will only be satisfied if Sharena gets what she deserves. At least I have hopes for Fáfnir.
Rhea: this was one of the obvious options. I guess 3H can still have Dedue, Miklan... I guess we can't hope for a support with Sothis considering what happened in Halloween? We'll probably get another "political" dialogue, at which 3H really sucks.
Muarim: just checked, and he's one of those characters that don't deserve that pain. I wonder how many Tellius characters were treated like that? Also curious about how will the art/quotes/skills be.
Surprised that Risen King Chrom is not there yet, but it would be a Chrom overdose, this year. I wonder why people seem to think that Leo will also get a fallen version. His Cypher card is more ambiguous than Chrom's. It could be him in his usual dark mage aesthetics.
Also, Funeral of Flowers is one of the best 3H soundtracks.

Not only do they look very similar and have comlon personality traits, but Salem appeared on Heroes the same day (almost) as Hol Horse & Josuke's 4th chapter appeared, with Kakyoin being mentioned on it.
Dedue was easy, but I wanna make decent builts (not ultra OP) for the other three. Just because I like them.

Imagine being Varok Saurfang. Losing your son to the Scourge, having to kill him again yourself when you're fighting the Lich King. Also there being ex-Scourge members who managed to get rid of their domination, so he could have had a recovery with them. Varian being there to support you in those final moments.
Then imagine some years later dying to the people that suddenly claim to be the masterminds behind everything. And finding that another boy that you care about is under the mastermind's direct domination. And then you meet Varian again in the sword and giving the boy an encouraging talk. And it fucking works.
I don't know you, but if I were him, I'd cry and laugh at the same time.

FEH ships
Saw @lucry-writes making a list of FEH ships and it made me ship Nótt x Hríd. Going to add all my current ships, which could work either romantically or as great friendships:
Bruno x Alfonse: been there since book I. Bruno also makes sense with Sharena or Xander, but I'll put this one.
Fjorm x Laegjarn: sorry for being boring. But things really changed a lot when Laegjarn got introduced in Heroes, so here they are.
Veronica x Laevatein: when they get a bit older, or just friends. During Loki's tempest trials, I imagined her introducing the two of them. Two princesses who don't speak much, but can have much in common.
Helbindi x Gunnthrá: hear me out. They already met in the beach. Gunnthrá received him with open arms after knowing everything he'd done for Ylgr. She had such a good impression of him that I want to see moee interactions. Also, there'd be a lot of teasing.
Sharena x Eir: Sharena can be shipped with practically all book protagonists, but her pure intentions absolutely reached Eir. After all that angst, they deserve to be happy. Also, the other protagonists would be very supportive.
Surtr x Múspell: fire edgy men.
Freyr x Ash: I tend to forget about these two a lot, so this popped in my head like 5 minutes ago. They just... Suit each other? Imagine them relaxing on the grass or something.
Hríd x Nótt: responsible people who actually have a funny side. They would just have so much fun.
Woah, that was actually a lot. I don't ship much from book V despite being my favourite one, but it's okay. All of these ships are like Tana x Cormag for me. You can either see them as friendships or romance, but they are close characters.

Anduin cinematic
So everyone has a different point of view, but most of us are sad about something:
-First of all, the possibility of all his plot having no relevance in the future. We cannot judge that yet, but unless we adress the whole Turalyon situation we may not get a mention of what happened to Anduin again. Not to say that his was Darion's plot repeated, but Darion deserved more screentime.
-Of fucking course, Arthas' treatment. Fuck, I hated to be right. But my suspicions of him receiving bad treatment were confirmed as soon as I saw Garrosh being done dirty. The thing is that I expected his model (probably the old one) to appear for a brief moment, and we didn't even get that. It confirms that current writers only know that he was "that guy who killed Sylvanas".
-Uther and Jaina didn't get to do anything, but at least she could be there for Anduin. But Sylvanas had a monologue. As if we needed yet another talking cinematic.
-The good part was seeing Varian. He's welcome anytime.
-People seem to have divided opinions on Saurfang. It wouldn't make sense if this apparition of both characters had been like Legion's "what a king must do". But this time, both souls make sense to be in Shalamayne, since they died fighting with it. But yeah, it proves how dirty has our Horde been done this expansion and the previous ones.
-Sometimes these cinematics make me hope for an in-game dialogue, like Anduin speaking to us or something. He could talk about his father or the situation, just a bit more of screentime.
