Short Thoughts: Like a Dragon 8 Reveal Trailer

Well, this is...new for the Like a Dragon series. Right from official source too? RGG are really treating us lately ngl, really making us become Mad Dogs in our own way. But now I'm wondering, I cannot deny it...how's my man Kiryu looking though? 😳 Uhh...moving on, it'll be refreshing to be somewhere outside of Japan for once and see what awaits our dragons out of water. The future is continuing to look bright and I'm loving it~ 🥰 What's your theories? Feel free to start a discussion.

Review: Soundcore VR P10

Greetings everyone! Here I'll be giving my honest thoughts on what I'd consider quite unique earbuds - the VR P10 from Soundcore. They're catered for gaming and have verified functionality with VR headsets such as Oculus Quest 2. Peak your interest? These can be found priced at £99/$99 via Soundcore's official website + Amazon directly, or in-person stores if you live in USA. Let's get started!

📦Unboxing Experience:

Pretty clean packaging imo with it's appealing design in addition to convinience. They also come with a decent amount of silicone ear tips which will suit many ears big or small (medium worked for me). Simply looked and felt premium all around, which gives me a great first impression. Good job so far!

🔎Appearence [next to Soundcore Life A2]/Comfort:

Though I'm not a fan of this "Airpod stem" trend, these make an exception for me with nice silver details, signature logo finish + 3 customisable lighting modes (breathing, lights on and battery saving/lights off respectively). Those lights can indicate helpful stuff such as solid purple for on/fully charged, blue for pairing or flashing red when very low. Case looks great with a shape akin of stones...can I say it's included dongle is pretty neat too? Okay ty! Moving on, ear tips themselves also felt comfortable enough with only fatigue after some hours which was usually when both buds were low anyway. Speaking of...

🔋Battery/Connectivity:

You'll be glad knowing that these earbuds have USB-C featured both on case for charging and a connector on the dongle. Also expect about 5/6 hours on buds (in 'battery saving mode') with an average 24 hours of battery life after giving them a full juice up. This is enough to get through 4 or more gaming sessions in my experience! In terms of speed, 10 minutes shall grant approx 1 hour of battery life for those clutch on-the-go moments.

Facts regarding this dongle btw...it's incredibly versatile featuring multi-platform support for PC, PlayStation, mobile and even Switch with lag-free playback. What's more, it allows Bluetooth audio from phone + received audio SIMULTANEOUSLY with Game and Talk (something I haven't come across before in other true wireless earbuds)! They can also be further compatible for Switch in docked mode or older devices with a USB to USB-C adapter (here's my recommendation). I've found the feature pretty useful for communicating on Discord or taking a phone call without much compromise.

🎵Sound Quality/App Features

From my experience of "default" aka Soundcore's signature (no super hearing or Bassup), it seemed clear with bass which gladly dosen't drown out the mids and highs. Highs may sound weaker but that's kind of justified as these are geared for subtle audio like footsteps or gunfire rather than instruments like violins and pianos. BUT as we get into Souncore's feature rich app, there's so many settings to tweak and fit your personal taste!

You've got a plethora of equaliser options + the ability to create custom ones as standard with their app. Acoustic (my fav as it brings everything up a notch), Electronic, Pop, you name it. Mentioned earlier is bassup which allows bringing in more for a stronger punch which bassheads may enjoy and super hearing that will make subtle noises more audible, perfect for a competitive edge.

Speaking of tastes, let's talk colours with 5 options being light purple, red, pink, blue or Violet. Heads up that lighting will effect battery life to varying degrees. Have multiple dongles? Great news as which ones in use can be selected directly from app! Very useful if you're someone who has a busy life (on the flip side though, Soundcore hasn't made things clear rn regarding where more can be purchased).

💭Are these worth the purchase? If you're looking for something with striking design, good sound for gaming in a small package and flexibility with software and hardware, absolutely Imo! Although I would personally like to maybe see slightly improved battery if Soundcore ever comes back to this concept in future. That's it for this review, tysm for getting here! Birthday of 2023

A couple of days ago (21st Febuary), I celebrated my b-day!! I'm now offically 21. 🎂

Another thing that put the cherry on top after having a great time with my family in the house was LIKE A DRAGON: ISHIN RELEASED TOO! Talk about a perfect gift as I was one of many who wanted this game to come outside of Japan. Been having a great time so far (despite slow start). 😁 Anyways, that's all I gotta say! Merch Showcase

I had recently picked up several items after visiting my special someone (we had a lovely time together ♡) and thought now would be perfect to show off what arrived! My favourites have gotta be the Mad Dog jacket (which feels sooo premium btw, freaking love it + I can't resist something Yakuza related 😆) and Captain America x Team Liquid jersey, but all of this is awesome nevertheless. Now I can chill while simultaneously quenching my thirst in what I'd consider a most refreshing way... 😌

Wow, only a couple days later and the full 2017 pilot has surfaced online! Once again for archival purposes, I'll also be posting it here. This also confirms that what we got finally is a refined version of it's pilot, which is pretty neat imo. Bandit's redesign has been improved quite a bit and apart from minor differences including some music and house decor (pictures), much is the same. Enjoy everyone!

Hello and welcome!

A lot happened yesterday in the new Nintendo Direct from many of the big franchises. It had started off weak imo but credit where it's due, got better as things went on! I have much to talk about so let's get on with the show.

𝙋𝙄𝙆𝙈𝙄𝙉 4

The game to kick off this direct. I will admit that it does look visually pretty, and the new pooch is certainly cute! There's chances for a lot of chaotic fun no doubt. I've never tried a Pikmin game before, and whilst it does not interest me enough to say "buy now", I hope people will enjoy this game. We already know a certain blue puppet went crazy over this. 😉 Perhaps I'll take another look when Pikmin 4 goes on sale one day. The game releases on July 21st, 2023.

𝙎𝘼𝙈𝘽𝘼 𝘿𝙀 𝘼𝙈𝙄𝙂𝙊: 𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙔 𝘾𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙍𝘼𝙇

An unexpected surprise from Sega happened! This will be the first Samba De Amigo game since 23 YEARS AGO (as of Dreamcast release). Dancing games are not really my thing but hey, maybe this one will be unique enough to consider me giving it a shot! It releases sometime this summer.

𝙎𝙋𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙊𝙊𝙉 3: 𝙀𝙓𝙋𝘼𝙉𝙎𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙋𝘼𝙎𝙎

If anything, this announcement was the main course for me! Just...wow. ♡ As someone who started within Splatoon 2, it's going to be so fascinating to explore Inkopolis Plaza for my very first time! Also SQUID SISTER SPLATFESTS ARE BACK! I already know @atlantisportal2 is about to have a nostalgia trip. I'm so freaking excited! 😁 Not only that...but Side Order is looking VERY intriguing for me.

Could this be a corrupt version of what happened if Team Order won Splatoon 2: Final Splatfest? Also Pearl and Marina baby, woohoo! Very glad seeing them back along with what looks to be Agent 8. Also you better believe I purchased it ASAP! With that said, wave 1 is set to release sometime in Spring with wave 2 inkcoming (haha) somewhere on the holidays (according to placeholder dates).

𝘼𝘿𝙑𝘼𝙉𝘾𝙀 𝙒𝘼𝙍𝙎 1+2: 𝙍𝙀-𝘽𝙊𝙊𝙏 𝘾𝘼𝙈𝙋

I haven't got much to say about these games, however, I did like what they've shown so far and looking to pick it up sometime in future if reviews are looking good. Like the artstyle they're going for! They will be avaliable on April 21st.

𝙉𝙎𝙊: 𝙂𝘼𝙈𝙀 𝘽𝙊𝙔+𝙂𝘼𝙈𝙀 𝘽𝙊𝙔 𝘼𝘿𝙑𝘼𝙉𝘾𝙀

More games for the service? Yes freaking please! It took a while but now they're here. The games really whizzed by and it would be impossible to put them all here, so if you'd like a glimpse of what I'm personally interested in, take a look. Take your time. 😊 *Tick tick tick* Oh, you're back? Lovely! Nintendo really popped off with the choices imo (looking at you Wario Land 3 and Mario+Luigi Superstar Saga). Some of these games are being released today with others being added in the future.

𝙋𝙇 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙉𝙀𝙒 𝙒𝙊𝙍𝙇𝘿 𝙊𝙁 𝙎𝙏𝙀𝘼𝙈

A miracle has happened!! After tragic events with both Level 5 and the original creator years ago, Professor Layton is looking to make a return. I've not played any of these games yet which judging by general buzz, I'm missing out! Hope to see more details soon as they come and maybe look into this considered-to-be underrated series in future. A release date has not been confirmed yet.

𝙏𝙇𝙊𝙕: 𝙏𝙀𝘼𝙍𝙎 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂𝘿𝙊𝙈

GANON IS BACK AND MORE TERRIFYING THAN EVER! With an amazing reveal of more info, this game is shaping up to be something great already. The visuals, music, and maybe even voice acting...it leaves me impressed. The gameplay could even be a step up with new weapon types and tools among other things (we can make our own cars legit now!?) However, it also reminds me that I need to finish BOTW someday. 😅 I'll be sure to look into this game at some point. Sharpen your blade and prepare for adventure on 12th May, 2023...

Wow, this show has really come a long way between the earliest pilot (2016) and final show (2018)! An improvement for sure. I also noticed Bandit had a different voice and...seems like Rusty might've originally been called Mckenzie before names were changed? Interesting nevertheless. It was found by an anonymous person but whoever you are, tysm! For archival purposes, I'm also deciding to post it too so everyone can enjoy.

Okay, so I've had my watch for about 2 weeks now and would like to give my honest thoughts on it. This was purchased on offer for £329 new (which as of posting is ongoing in Argos, Currys and online at Amazon).

In the box you will have: Watch5 Pro, USB-C to wireless charging pad cable plus leaflets regarding warranties and such. With that out of our way...

First off, UI of this smartwatch runs smooth as butter in my experience and feels familiar if you've been using Android/Samsung before. Everything is laid out cleanly (including physical buttons which makes it easier to tell what I'm pressing even when under layers of clothing). The build is also made of titanium with a super AMOLED sapphire crystal screen. Also even though I accidentally hit the body on a door prior to getting screen protectors + case, there was no damage whatsoever which was a great sign. It's also quite lightweight despite what's packed inside.

Now onto battery, charging speeds on this is honestly amazing and most times feels faster than what's estimated! From 100% I'd normally get about 2 or 3 days which is impressive from a smartwatch imo! (for clarity's sake, this is with battery saver on, brightness being super low indoors + making sure apps are closed after use. You may get a different result where I'd recommend tweaking permissions/settings to achieve better battery life).

Also all credit due, these sensors for both under this watch and with digital bezel are pretty accurate mostly! If you do have features like battery saver on though, it will be slightly less but still pretty good.

Customization...it's through the roof on here with tiles, widgets and many ways to change your watch face. Google Play Store has also added a whole new level with watch face/app support! It can truly be made to your liking. My recommendation for power efficency whilst being feature rich: 'Pixel Minimal Watch Face' by Benoit Letondor. Also being able to change settings on this watch from it's phone companion app Galaxy Wearables is so useful!

Overall, you really can't go wrong with this watch imo. I honestly hope to see more support for official WearOS apps though as many are still missing as of now like messaging services outside of texts. That's it for now and...
