Summary:

Day 03: Mechas of DabiHawks Week 2021

Resigned to his fate, Dabi bent down to pick up the remote. Hawks also visibly relaxed, a bit too relieved for his liking.

"Don't make me regret this."

Multiple emotions flashed across the other pilot's face until he finally settled on something he couldn't read.

"I won't."

A few days ago I learned that pressing checkboxes too fast can break the sidebar, which really could be fixed if we don’t do nice smooth slidey transitions. but like... i want slidey transitions... buttons are hard.

Little lavender haired tykes running around growing up to be tall statuesque stunners because the Minett genes will always be stronger than anything in existence, and Damian was already stupidly tall.

Summary: If only he had an ounce of the strength the Playmaker had, Takeru thought bitterly. It didn't matter if that man was considered a traitor to the Alliance, any soldier would say that he was a genius of his generation, his generation, actually. What a cruel twist of fate that both of them were born in the same year only to turn out as totally different people. The best Takeru could do was aspire to such an impossible ideal.

More mecha AU, but with my lukewarm contribution to Fireballshipping. Oh, and Yusaku kicks Takeru off a bridge.

"Wait a minute," He stepped in between him and the bookshelf to stop him, and Yusaku did. "Can you... Go back to the page of that book?"

The boy gave him an odd look but did as he asked, and the picture had Ai thinking again. A young woman was depicted with blue eyes and hair, sword raised skywards and regalia shimmering. Something about the picture struck him.

"Who is this?" he asked, pointing at the girl.

"It's the Blue Maiden," Yusaku stated as if it were fact. "Or one of them, anyway."

Ai looked back to the illustration, confused about what was bothering him about this illustration. Perhaps this could be a lead for him to find his fellow survivors.

Who wants to teach me multidimensional speed chess? Because I can’t write about smart people.

Every waking hour was a reminder of the bleeding form that was wasted so needlessly, because the humans couldn't accept them, couldn't accept him. There was little left to tie him down to this earth, so raze it down he shall.

A collection of small ficlets for an AU in continuation of the bad future Ai foresaw, and the war raged on until it lost all meaning.

"There's something you don't understand," Ai argued back. "Not all of us had meant for the Flood to happen-"

The ghost realized he had taken a misstep and threw his hands over his mouth to stop himself.

"Not all of us?" Yusaku didn't miss Ai's slip-up. "You mean that the Flood of Light wasn't an accident, then?"

Who knew writing infodumps would be so hard?

As if Ai could read his thoughts, the knight conjured a greatsword much like Yusaku's and, with a flourish, planted the blade onto the ground to create a ramp.

"Just jump. I'll be with you before you know it."

So... I guess the show’s over, so I’m coping with this.

"Do you remember his name, at least?" Spectre pressed a little more. The prince gazed up at the ceiling to remember.

"Fujiki… Fujiki Yusaku," he answered with one of his rare, genuine smiles. "He said his name meant 'wisteria', so that's how I remember him. I thought it was a beautiful name, even when I didn't know what wisteria looked like."

I cope with VRAINs ending by writing depressing oneshots.
