I drew my burn victim OC! (Name still a work in progress)

Omg I realized I started yapping about this OC without realizing you guys have no idea who she is 😅 Oppsie. I might have mentioned her while talking about Jordan but I’m tired after this weekend sinc3 it was pretty busy so I don’t wanna check.

She had a happy childhood up until she was about 9 bc we all know our OC’s can’t be TOO happy! In my head she shares a universe with Jordan and on an important day, her mom took her and her older brother on a fun outing day where some Attuned (superpowered ppl, for more info check out some of my recent posts) terrorists blew up the train they were in. Unfortunately their mom didn’t make it and her and her brother got really bad burn scars.

Their dad ended up freaking out and stopped everything for a while in grief. One day, though, he just started it all again as if nothing happened. Obviously he wasn’t ok. He started being very controlling to the point of it being abusive and uses lines like “It’s what your mother would have wanted!” to get his way. Their dad tries to regulate what they wear to cover their scars out of a wanting to be perfect and not liking the memories they bring, but my OC prefers more breathable clothes and clothes that tend to reveal skin (skirts, short sleeves, ect) so she likes to push the rules to a limit. The clothes she’s wearing in the drawing are mostly find by their dad’s standards but he probably argued to try and make her wear full leggings.

In school both siblings were outcasted after what happened so ended up being really close. The dad forced her brother to go to med school but my OC is determined not to let him control her like that. The brother wanted to get into fashion and my OC likes basketball and crochet and needle felt and stuff. She makes a lot of plushies for herself and makes tiny cloth earrings made into cute shapes to wear!

I wanna give her a little romance plot! I love romance and it’s just so sweet 🥰

When I was just getting out of art block I did an exercise of blocking out my OC’s in different poses based on their personalities and I realized some things about this OC. Her personality is hard to describe and understand and I feel it’s a bit similar to Jordan. Well, I’ve always felt it was similar but idk it stuck out a lot. Of course there are differences from each other and I don’t want to let either of them go.

For this OC she’s a lot happier than Jordan and more carefree. She isn’t perpetually alone out of fear of being hated but she just realized “Oh, the people around me suck and I don’t want to associate with them”. She has her head in the clouds a lot but not in Jordan’s constant anxiety way. More in a dreamy, contemplative way. I guess their biggest difference is that Jordan is a lot less happy. Other than that they’re both quiet, bullied girls who are insecure, though it’s a lot more subtle and a lot less with this OC.

Lately I’ve been wondering if every OC I have needs to really be so unique. I feel their different enough and I think these feelings of similarity my get cleared up if I fleshed out and understood this OC’s character more.

Anyways, let me post the speed paint of this! I’ve seen other artists do it and think it would be fun to show my process! You can see me struggling with the pose and I ended up scrapping the first try. It just didn’t look like her. Oh no it’s sideways for some reason I can’t fix it :( I hope that’s ok:

My blue haired OC cosplaying Hanako!

I’ve actually had this as a work in progress for an embarrassingly long time 😅 It was because I couldn’t get the anatomy for the pose right so he kept on bending like a piece of paper. I finally got it right!… and fumbled the foreshortened hand. (For shortening is harddddd) Still, I think he turned out beautifully and I love how it has TBHK vibes! I think it’s mostly the colors doing it.

If he were to read TBHK my first thought was that his favourite character would be Hanako, but thinking on it more I feel he may actually vibe more with Mitsuba. It may just be my Mitsuba bias talking tho. I have reasons tho. I think the fact that they’r both guys who like/liked dressing femininely, have annoying personalities, and got bullied into changing themselves would make him resonate with Mitsuba. My OC definitely hides who he is way less but he still does it. Now that I think about it did I accidentally model this OC after Mitsuba? Idk.

As of late my whole mental health down has been getting better. I’ve been feeling a lot more motivated to be productive and happier in general! I know it’ll probably come back but for now it’s gone and I’ll take that. Today I even finished writing a book I’ve been writing for a while! It’s a rough, first draft before I edit things but I’ve never gotten to this strange before. I even almost gave up on this book like all the others on the last chapter before getting a burst of motivation to finish it today. That’s actually why this wasn’t posted sooner. I was writing!

I made art of Jordan!

A part of her character is that she has this constant feeling of being watched wherever she goes. The think is, she’s right. People are constantly watching her because of what she did. They’re scared of her and she hates it. When she’s upset she scowls, so it just makes her look angry all the time. I might actually try and reaange or redo her scars. Idk they feel kinda off to me.

She has 1 secret friend that doesn’t see her the way others do, but it doesn’t mean a thing if she doesn’t love herself. One day it’ll change.

I wanted to do some contracts with her. She’s a pretty tall and well built girl who looks scary. People think she’s dangerous. Then her color palate is different. It’s not any bold colors you would see with a dangerous or angry character, but deep purples and blues to show her sadness and general tiredness of life.

I did more art again!

I wasn’t expecting to finish this drawing so soon but here I am! I’ve made a post about this OC a long time ago early on into my Tumblr account. I’m experimenting more with the sparkle affects and I like it better in this piece.

Currently I’m thinking of naming him Testimony or something but it might change. His parents are the founders of a cult. Because he was born with albinism his parents used that to convince others that he is a messiah. I drew them at an evening gathering. His parents are on either side of him and call themselves prophets.

Everyone in the family is in on this for different reasons. For Testimony it’s out of a lack of understanding and ignorance. The mother is a part of this for material gain and greed. She loves the money they get from this, especially after previously being poor before the birth of Testimony. For the father, it’s control. He loves having control over so many people. What he says, goes. No one hesitates. In my head the parents both love each other very much despite being evil people.

Testimony is homeschooled, banned from the internet, and never allowed out. There’s seemingly no way for him to find help. Or is there? I have a plan for another character in his story, a lonely little girl who sneaks into his room one day and becomes his one and only friend.

Tbh this took a REALLY long time to make 😅 A bit because of the complexity and a bit because of the breaks I would take due to being really drained. With my drawing muscles back I’m kicking into hight gear!

Hi! I’m getting out of my art block!

It took me time but I have the will to draw again! I’m working on a more elaborate illustration but for now here’s a drawing of my dad OC!

Actually, I finally got a name for him! His name is Rio. I got it from this music artist I listen to at times called Rio Romeo. I’ve only seen 3-4 of their songs so I’m not a big fan but I like their music and felt the name matched.

In the drawing he’s just witnessed the murder of his wife and it about to seek revenge. I tried something a little different with the highlights and I’m figuring out backgrounds more! I’m still deciding how I feel about the sparkle highlights but I think it turned out pretty well.

I haven’t drawn him much in a while bc Inwas finding it hard to draw him as my style evolved so much and stuff especially with his face and proportions but I think I’m figuring it out. With his body I was kinda aiming for the Toji and Miguel Ohara skinny waist broad shoulders body type and I think I finally did that well!

Hi I’m back!

I made most of this drawing while on a rode trip! It was pretty fun. This is some art of 004/Jericho from before she found the dome. She’s just blown up the lab she was in with her blood so her blood is everywhere. For those who don’t know she has golden blood that she can manipulate and in this scene she just found out about this in the worst way possible 😅

Almost everyone died immediately but this girl she’s with, but she’ll die soon. 004 is feeling really guilty for accidentally murdering a whole building of people but the girl tries to calm her down a bit before she dies. If you look closely you can see the girl’s identification number on her neck which is 014. Recently I’ve been rlly into drawing characters for mouths as their face so I wanted to draw 014 like that! She reminds me a bit of a Leech.

On another note, I actually did another drawing earlier that I won’t show just yet. It’ll come with a surprise! Also there will be another little surprise coming up so I hope you’re ecxited!

Hello! :) I did some fanart of Mitsuba and Tsukasa (kinda)!

At first I wanted to do one of Kou but this idea with Mitsuba was too good to pass up.

The angle I was going for was trying to show Mitsuba’s helplessness. In his eyes the only person who can help him with his one and only wish is Tsukasa, the person who caused him to exist without experiencing humanity, the person that mistreats him. He’s too desperate, too scared to leave. He’s reaching for salvation that he’s unsure is there, a salvation no one is sure he should really want. Should he trust someone like Tsukasa? Of course not, but he’s desperate.

I like how it turned out, though I struggled a lot with the lighting and text for a while 😅 Though Kou’s my fav Mitsuba is still a close second just because of how I love the concept of him. He’s definitely harder to explain to people who haven’t watched the show before. I was drawing this while hanging out with a friend and she wasn’t getting it. I can’t blame her, I’m bad at explaining things and it’s a bit hard to fully explain TBHK.

Spoilers for TBHK recent chapters: What’s going on rn is wild! Almost everyone is dead it’s so depressing. I’ve seen a lot of theories abt who that cat is. Personally I feel it being Hanako makes the most sense. We saw him fixing the clock, after all. Not to mention how he saved her from getting her arm snapped just like he would do all the time in the previous timeline. His mannerisms overall just give Hanako. I can’t wait for them to get back to the real world, but I’m still wondering how their going to deal with the events of the school festival bc too many people are dying in that timeline, including Mitsuba.

And it seems like next chapter will let us meet the Clock Keepers! Backstory? 👀 And they won’t let this time,one stay after Akane straight up died (probably), right? Right??? 😃

Heyyyyy! Here’s the edit I talked about in my last post of 3 of my OC’s!

There’s a little drawing I did today at the end! While my art block is subsiding I may take a bit longer not drawing or at least not much in order to not drain myself too much. Still, I’ll probably post small animations or even traditional art. For some reason burnout doesn’t effect traditional art, or animation nearly as much as it effects digital drawing for whatever reason. Anyways, lore dump time!

My first OC doesn’t have a name but I’ve mentioned him before in other previous posts and have even posted 2 of the drawings but I never went in depth due to me feeling like no one would care or bother to read the descriptions at that stage. He’s a special agent for an illegal agency. His outside life, though, was going really well. He had a wife and daughter that he loved very much, but one day his wife began noticing something was off about his work or his time spent at work and began investigating. That ended up getting her in trouble. She got captured by some people my OC was fighting against. My OC tried to save her and even ended up killing the guys holding her hostage but he was too late. His agency moved him and his daughter far away. His daughter was far too young to remember, but she no longer has a mother. My OC became a lot colder and closed off after what happened, not letting people in and being very protective of his daughter. He’s very kind and gentle with her though. He only ever smiles around her anymore. I’m thinking of adding a love interest from his agency so that he can open his heart and have a cute little co-parenting relationship with them but I’m not sure.

I’ve already posted about my second OC, Regan, in the video multiple times so I won’t explain her again. If you want you can check her out in my older posts!

Now to my third OC! Again I’ve posted him a few times before but never went into detail about him, partly also because I haven’t figured that out too well yet. He’s part of a pair of OC’s I have like with Regan. His name is Han and his friend’s name is Toren. Han is in middle school did something really bad that got him disowned and kicked out of his home. I’m thinking what he did will be something related to temper and a violent act. I want him to be a bit of a commentary on toxic masculinity. He never really forgave himself, and got into a really bad crowd of street thugs who were only using him to gain credibility and win fights. He knew this but stayed because he felt he deserved it and there weren’t any other options. Not to mention that it let him release his ever present anger. Then one day he ends up being pitted against Toren, a high schooler. Toren almost doesn’t fight but Han attacks, making Toren to do a quick knock out. Han’s “friend’s” leave him behind, and after a talk with Toren, he’s offered a position is Toren’s gang and a place to stay in their head quarters (an abandoned building). Han doesn’t show affection well but secretly does really care for Toren. They’re really close and each help each other in their own ways.

Hey! I managed to make this quick sketch amongst the art block (this may or may not have taken me several days)

I may not be able to draw, but I can still lore dumb my OC’s >:D Sorry if I write weird I have a cold or smth and it’s past midnight rn. Also I have an edit cooking rn I’m probably post it tomorrow or the day after that. I think it’s looking good!

This is Riley! He’s my second oldest OC after Morgan. His design was definitely… interesting before.

I did a huge revamp of him and his character a while ago. For my first few OC’s their back stories were really similar. I’m trying to make my characters more diverse in their background but I haven’t gotten much for Riley yet.

Here is what I do have: He’s intersex but presents more like a dude present day. When he was younger he had a lot of trouble deciding. His parents didn’t do corrective surgery and decided to let him choose. He ended up sticking with being a guy. Riley’s parent’s died in an earthquake when he was younger, (around 7-11) so was taken in by his friend and their parents. He’s mixed as well. I’m realizing that, like, half of my OC’s are mixed. Eh, whatever. I also noticed I tend to give my OC’s freckles all over their bodies I just find it rlly cool and cute. Later on in like him, his adoptive brother, and another friend start a band probably in collage.

That’s pretty much it. I don’t have much else. I’m thinking of making him neurodivergent and having him learn to understand connection better or something? Idk whenever I make an OC I like to make a story and a goal for them. I know other ppl don’t always do that and like to have their adorable little cotton candy witches.

Here’s his OLD lore: Everything in the new lore is pretty much the same except Riley is more feminine in this version and the friend he became half brothers with had a pretty bad home life that affected both of them. His friend eventually became abusive and Riley became a rlly anxious and timid person. Their third friend was trans and didn’t realize anything was off until they all moved in together in collage. The abusive friend trapped both of them financially and emotionally. The friend who was unaware felt he couldn’t do anything once he found out since his parents kicked him out and his sister was sick in the hospital. Without the abusive friend there was a good chance his sister would die. Their band is a lot bigger in this version. The third trans friend is the phantom band leader while the real leader is the abuser. Riley at one point meets this guy and they liked each other. When the love interest found out what was happening, he helped Riley escape and the trans friend ended up sticking up against the abusive friend to help them in the end.

It’s basically the new story but the angst is on steroids. It sounds ok on paper, but the problem was all my stories were like this. They went: Character is abusive situation they’re trapped in, friend/lover comes and saves the day. I was having a pretty rough time at the time, still am, and it just fed on my want to have someone swoop in and fix all my problems. I don’t actually have problems as serious as in the stories I made, I kinda took my issues and dialled them up a notch or two for more interest or something. I also know that wanting someone else to fix my problems, while it’s enticing, isn’t really a good solution.

Anyways, here’s the character sheet I made for him during the redesign. Again, his design may change. I kinda got a bit lazy when I made this a while ago so didn’t do a full body shot or make a head for one of the expressions but here:

Hey! I’m back!

The character sheet is a bit messier than usual, sorry! This is, again, a redesign of an old OC but he’s a bit different than the rest. In fact, because of my emotional attachment to the last design I may revert to the old one or try again.

I got his concept from a cool WEBTOON called Dreaming Constellation. He’s an extraterrestrial being that eats sadness. When he was “young” (time is weird for creatures like him) he got to go hunt on his own for the first time. It was a terminally ill boy, but my OC couldn’t bare to just sit around and watch the kid suffer until he died, so he befriended him. Contact was strictly forbidden, so it was their secret. Inevitably the kid died. He was expected to move on and find the next human to silently feed on, but seeing how messed up the practice was, he ran away and was exiled. Now he travels around, comforting sad people and being around them until they either pass away or no longer have enough sadness in their hearts to feed him.

I made him originally for a story but scrapped it. Now he’s just the comfort OC I draw if I’m sad and don’t know what else to do. A lot of my drawings of him are pretty personal and unsharable. I have a few that I can share though!

These are pretty old. I don’t draw him as much as I like, especially digitally since I have various other coping methods for sadness. He’s more of an I’m-outside-in-public-with-only-a-pen-and-paper-while-in-distress kind of OC. At one point I almost gave him a human form but it doesn’t feel like it fits him, so I don’t think I’ll go for that. Tbh the more I look at the new design the less I like it :(

Hey! Haven’t posted in a while

So there was an art contest in my school recently for the cover of the year book that I’m participating in. I started it, didn’t like it, restarted, got art block, finished it, got art block again, and drew this! I didn’t shade it since I didn’t feel like it. Again, I have a horrible sense of time so I have no idea how long I actually didn’t post, but I hope it wasn’t too long.

anyways onto the drawing! It’s an interaction between two of my OC’s, one of which I posted on here in an art progression post before. The other one (the girl in the blue hoodie) is new to my blog. They’re from different universes. While the blue haired guy lives in a world like ours, hers is more magical.

In this world there are the attuned and the un-attuned. The attuned have a certain amount of attunements (powers) depending on how many sections your pupils are separated into. They’re separated to look like flower petals, and the most common is three. It goes from 1-5. Jordan has 5 petals. It’s not extremely rare, but still impressive.

The problem is, she was a late bloomer, and found out she was attuned in a bad situation that led to her accidentally killing a bully of hers.

Due to a war that happened between the attuned and the un-attuned when attuned people first started emerging in the 1900’s, Jordan was sent to the east side where all the attuned people live. She went to juvie there, and started school there.

Juvie toughened her up a lot, and she got a lot of scars. After what happened she got a constant dead look in her eyes (watching someone burn to death is gonna do that to you y’know), and combined with her overall stature, Jordan looks pretty intimidating and dangerous to people. The situation took a tole on her mom, so she isn’t around much, and Jordan has a bunch of guilt. She can’t control her attunements too great either because of trauma.

She was actually my first ever OC and looked super different before! She was WAY more messed up than before (it was the beginning of a rlly bad time for me). Here’s my last drawing of her:
