Some people have said to me before that other fandoms are nicer, that OFMD had been a horrible experience for them, but that they had a completely different experience in other communities...

(Although I did see not long ago one person saying that the OFMD fandom was wonderful and so friendly and supportive and I was flabbergasted, but ok, good for them, I guess, I said nothing because it was a very positive post, but I wondered if they were simply trolling)

But the thing is the other day I took a look at another fandom's popular tags (no, I'm not saying the name), thinking maybe I could pop in and have fun and OMG, I backpedaled so fast! The sneering, the nastiness, the brutal shipping wars... I had war flashbacks.

And this is not the only time that has happened, I have backpedaled immediately from most fandoms I have tried through the years and I still don't know if it's because they were big fandoms (and more problematic because of that) or it's simply that I'm terribly unluky.

Can't people be normal about fictional characters? Is it that difficult?

I saw a few different fandom versions of that one shen comic and thought it would only be right to make a version with mx. ox-rib-inhaler.

Utterly heartbreaking, but so good. The only 'character death' tagged fic I have truly liked despite it feeling like a punch to the gut

But don't worry, my brain immediately added a fix-it epilogue and everything was good, everything was fine. FINE, I say.
