Morning train (nine to five) is a full on bop

Lion king Jr. notes

- there’s these two boys who just do whatever they want and don’t listen and when I told them to sit with the group they said they’d been “called” which was BULLSHIT like bruh

- between all three casts the kids playing Scar (even scar’s understudy, in her singular performance) give it their all and it SHOWS

- both mufasa and adult simba(and baby simba too) are like a foot and a half shorter than Scar and it’s hilarious to watch them interact

- two of the interns just reacted to finding out they will be the buzzards in one scene and one was super excited and the other reacted with abject horror

- the five second track for one transition goes right into lioness hunt and I’m very mad

- I have to manually fluctuate the lights green and blue during the elephant graveyard scene which is exhausting because that scene is long as hell

- pumbaa injured herself and now she’s on crutches, which sucks :(

- these kids need to learn their lines and songs :/

Lion king kids notes (day 1 tech week)

- scar, Timon, and pumbaa are the best in the show

- they know their accompaniment songs better than a lot of the older kids

- scar is SLAYING he’s like eight and the loudest(in a good way) and acting his lines and knows all his songs (he was Mike Teevee in Willy Wonka and gave it 110% so like are we surprised)

- adult simba needs some help? She’s got her lines but the emotion just isn’t it

- they need to learn their timing

- the rafikis are on the struggle bus, but they’re all pretty young sooo

I think it’ll work itself out, I have a better feeling about this cast than usual

Watcher google drive

i think the title is pretty self explanitory

Only ghost files on it atm but Mystery Files and Puppet History are next. Watcher has back pedalled on deleteing all their free content to lock it behind a pay wall but y'know what? maybe I just dont want to give them ad revenue anymore, which is evil but screw them. Also they may still back pedal on their back pedalling, which is to many pedals anyways.

They’re doing my lighting for Shrek and I won’t be there lol

- Fiona slayed

- girl shrek slayed

- they have the captain of the guard pick Farquaad up and carry him off the stage in one scene

- planning to encourage the audience to “put up their lighters concert style” aka wave their phone flashlights to the rhythm

- forever, make a move, and I’m a believer are the best songs in the show

- the girl who played Karen in mean girls w me was filling in for gingerbread man and her timing was ✨flawless✨

- I wore a crown for the whole practice

- work in progress but very cute

- baby shrek at the beginning was wearing a birthday shirt (age 7) the same age shrek gets kicked out by his parents and I want them to have him wear it in the show

- love the twist that farquaad’s dad is one of the seven dwarves?!?!?! Idk if that was in the movie but it made me chuckle

- I think the Stepford Wives reference will be lost on too many people and that makes me sad

- the cast is big af and I’m jealous for my shows

- the “wipe your……face” joke is still in the show!!!! :D

Got call in to teach a newbie how to do s&l

I found out with I got there that my intern nemesis(another story) was doing music for the cast

I had to do the lighting design for the whole show in the two hours I was supposed to be teaching this new girl how to do it

Going back tomorrow to make sure everything goes smoothly with her operating the music and the switchboard at the same time

And also to mess with some notation I made, since the director wants make a move to be light blue and what’s up duloq to be dark blue

(Which isn’t much of a distinction tbh)
