Epilogue and the final chapter of So now we're Homicides Together is out now!!! (link below)
"Miriam was a mistake. She was weak. But not you. You Valarie were special. I saw it that day at the stake and I still see it now."
The silent listener relaxed her tense shoulders and resisted the need to laugh at her own folly. She had been so foolish, even more so than her mother, to let her emotions guide her actions. It pained her to learn that Annette had been the first choice to replace Miriam and the initial heir to this twisted game of succession. She realized then that her biggest flaw was not that she was irrational, but because she was tenacious in her pursuit of love and understanding. The Professor had been a pawn, meant to test her loyalty in her faith, but his love for her had proved to be a startling complication. He had lied for her and shielded her from the wrath that would have befallen them if Sister Rufina had uncovered her failure to evade the Professor's advances. The police officers that had arrested her that morning, they too were called upon by the nun, and the girl couldn't believe how many divine warning she had dismissed for she had loved the woman she had perceived to be a mother figure.
Finally, an ultimatum is laid out before her.
"Profess your sins, join me, and you shall be free. He has given you another chance. I advise you take it."
An astounding 'no' pervades the room as the speaker witnesses the nun grow threateningly pale.
"What is going to happen to me?", she asks.
"Whatever He intended."

The final full-length chapter of So Now We're Homicides Together is out now!!! (link below)
Theodore House as an establishment was a series of long, relentless corridors and a few rooms of various shapes and sizes scattered throughout the three levels. It is, as one would say, nothing short of an architectural disaster. But as I walked these halls and passed by the shut out doors lining them, I could derive its atmospheric essence through the enclosure that the cold walls, floor and ceiling provided. I could feel the very air ricocheting off them and smell the candle wicks that had been blown out several hours prior. My senses had heightened even when my thoughts were distant and my body limp. The only voice in my head was of Rosie.
"He is a bad man Valarie. He does not love you. We must end him. You must."
There was something cold pressed to my thighs and I had no recollection of what had propelled me to take this journey or where I was headed to. In my head, I had a goal and I was going to fulfill it, tonight, at this very moment. Just then, someone calls out to me and even with the slightest inkling to stop and turn to see who it was, I couldn't get myself to do it. It was as if I was sworn against the impulse to react to anything. But when I am yanked harshly by this obscure hand and pinned to the wall with unimaginable force, something snaps within me.
"What if I tell you I let them do that stammering girl like a chore the night she went missing. Will that make you give in to me sooner? I've got to tell you, I didn't know there's a special price for that."
All of a sudden, my body is set free from the trance as I reach an unfounded level of clarity. Anger builds inside me like a tempest as I am reaching for the sharp object strapped under my dress. Before long, I pounce on him with full force, with the knife that was previously assigned to me to kill the Professor. I go at him with animalistic prowess until he becomes unrecognizable, until one could hardly differentiate him from a slaughtered pig. His eyes shine like glass and what I see reflected in them does not scare me one bit. Using all my strength and hatred, I plunge the knife into his stomach, shoulder and thigh and end it with a final and fatal blow to his heart. The sounds that he made were blood-curling, if someone were there to hear it, but it was doused by my own raucous screams, horrifying even for the daring creatures of the night. Eventually, the spirit leaves my body as I drop the knife in shock, panting heavily at the bloody sight before me.

Chapter 8 of So now we're Homicides together is out now!!! (link below)
There wasn't much that I'd say I had inherited from my mother, but I liked to believe we came bearing the same good intentions in our hearts when we first walked into this venerable institution. The corridors of Theodore House had stretched before us, their darkened grandeur swallowing the feeble light that seeped in through the tall, narrow windows; a metaphor for our tainted souls I suppose. But even as I had walked through these halls that had once held so much significance to the woman who bore me, I had felt so alone. It was until Sister Rufina nestled me under her wing, the stern yet visionary nun who had once shown the same favoritism towards my mother. I recall a conversation we had had on the night that I arrived.

"You're Miriam's girl.", she had stated.
I chose not to answer.
"You don't question how I know that?", she asked as I shook my head.
"No. I remember her writing to you every month."
"You're a clever girl.", she mused.
"If you did know who I am why wouldn't you let me in?", I asked.
"I wanted to see if you had your mother's incorrigible stubbornness."
My mother, a nameless orphan in her youth, had found respite within these walls. She was a woman of unyielding piety, devoted to one path; that of becoming a nun. She spoke of Sister Rufina with reverence, her eyes alight with the memory of a surrogate mother who had guided her. Through her stories, I felt as if I knew the sister, as if her spirit still lingered in these cold, stone walls.
But destiny, it seemed, had other plans.

Chapter 7 of So now we're Homicides together is out now on Wattpad! (Link below)
With trepidation, I ventured forth, compelled by an unseen hand. The very air felt different—a hushed reverence clung to every dusty, cobweb-laden corner. The scent of aged parchment mingled with the unmistakable musk of secrets long preserved, an olfactory testament to the countless enigmas that dwelled within. The shelves, sagging under the weight of hidden knowledge, leaned toward one another as if pledging to keep these secrets safe. Candles, their wicks long extinguished, stood as sentinels in rusted holders, bearing witness to countless clandestine hours spent in pursuit of forbidden wisdom. Shelves upon shelves of leather-bound volumes lined the walls. Their spines bore strange symbols and cryptic titles, written in languages long forgotten by the world. My fingers traced these relics, until they grasped a volume that emanated an eerie aura. As I pulled it from the shelf, I knew, with an uncanny certainty, that this was the book I had been seeking.

Kneeled on the library floor, I opened the tome. Its pages whispered secrets of forgotten incantations and arcane rituals, but my attention was captured by a page that beckoned me with its cryptic riddle. Some prior reader had torn several pages, leaving only fragments of knowledge behind.
The riddle danced before my eyes:
"In the darkest hour, when the moonlight wanes
Seek the path unseen, where the blood of sin remains.
To bind the power, in this ancient spell,
Find the heart of innocence, where secrets dwell."
The words clung to the depths of my mind. I sat there, feverishly trying to unravel their meaning when a sudden gust of wind stirred behind me.
And then my eyes snapped open, wrenching me from the dream's enchanting grasp. The remnants of the library, Sister Rufina's ghostly presence, all dissipated like mist in the morning sun. I use my limbs to prop my heavy body up and find myself sprawled upon the cold, wooden floor of my room, the oil lamp burnt to its last ember. A shiver coursed down my spine as I pieced together the fragmented threads of reality and dream. Had I been sleepwalking, or was it just a dream?

CHAPTER 6 of So now we're Homicides together is out now on wattpad!!!
(link below)
Upon entering the narrower walls and low ceilings of the guest chambers, the Professor had to duck his head to a certain degree in order to pass. It was so comical to witness, that for a moment I had almost the impulse to laugh. I peep into every room on either side of the halls and try to spot what I had been looking for with the Professor eyeing my every movement with suspicion. Coming across the one, I turn towards the man. He is confused to find his luggage stacked by the door.
"This will be your chambers. May you have a wonderful stay." I say and finding no delight to loiter in his presence, start to leave but I am grabbed harshly by the arm.
"I thought you were to give me a tour."
My eyes leave his and settle on the part I feel bruising under the fabric. There was no composing myself after this.
"Then you're a bigger fool than I thought you were." I say suddenly growing grave and freeing my hand from his grip with as much aggression as bodily possible.
"Sharp tongue for a nun." he sneers.
"Strong hands for a man who claims to have held nothing in his life but a quill. Maybe this is why."
Considering my words for a moment, a smile creeps up his fiendish face.
"You're a little devil aren't you? Plotting to make my stay here a living Hell."
"You have no idea." I say and turn to my heel before I lost patience.

No but actually so true. Dorian and Lily's characters were sidelined from the main plot and by the end of the show they had literally nothing to do with the story.
I feel like they could have kept some kind of contact between Vanessa and Dorian. Dorian's character could be shown in a different light. Maybe he did fall in love for the first time, got rejected and couldn't move on from that point onwards no matter what he tried.
That would make up for a much for complex and interesting plot and character in my opinion.
Penny dreadful if Dorian was a woman >>>

Sirius Black my favourite character for a reason
The scene at the start of Prisoner of Azkaban in which Harry accidentally summons the Knight Bus after seeing Padfoot never fails to make me incredibly sad when I think about it. Sirius didn't even want to talk to Harry or try convincing him of his innocence, he just wanted to see him. Sirius had so many chances to try and convince Harry of his innocence, but all he wanted to do was kill Pettigrew and ensure Harry's safety. Him roaming Little Whinging, him hiding under the Quidditch Pitch bleachers during Gryffindor's matches, all he wanted to do was see Harry. He loves Harry so much, my heart aches.
