-Lego Movie FanArt-

Hallo guys!

Tonight I want to present you a huuuuge project I worked on while the last 2 months (at least I think so)😄"Lego Movie" accompanied me through some bad times and gave me a smile, when everything around me seemed to fall apart. This characters did spend me some hope and joy. I already created an art piece of this movie but sold it to a friend and since I've deeply missed it, I decided to paint one more only for me, which became even better🥰I gave the characters some different colours than you know from the originals, so they got a unique touch, my own style😊You can see a quote from the movies beside each character.

Hallo everyone!

Like you learned through my last post I adore the show "The Legend Of The Three Caballeros" which I found in Disney+. I decided to create more fanart of this show's characters and the free spirited Xandra got a watercolour-painting today!😊Her character is so interesting, she seems to be very concentrated and disciplined but she owns also a crazy side which makes her funny and sympathetic.

It was the first time I created fanart with watercolours and I found out, that water has it's own mind and is finding it's own ways of creativity. This was a thing I'm not used to but I like the result😁

-The Three Caballeros Art!-

Hallo everyone!

Since I use the streaming-service of the great Disney+, I "surfed" through the many shows and movies and stopped randomly at "The Legend Of The Three Caballeros". I didn't know that uncle Donald and his crew got an own TV show after their movie in the 40's and I was pretty excited and curious, so I started watching!

I love the story, the humour and the new characters, especially the villains😂I almost finished the first season and I hope so much that a second season will be created. It's a shame that this show isn't more in public, cause it would really deserve more attention! I had to draw Donald, José and Panchito, the new superheroes (more or less) in Disney's universe.

-Disney Fairies Painting-

Good evening!

Tonight I want to present you an acrylic painting I worked on this month! I watched some of the "Tinkerbell"-movies and they're so adorable! Tinkerbell and her stories and friends are just pure Disney-magic, so I painted Tink and the other main faries of this movies. Most of the colors are improvised. Art and creativity are a feeling for me, a feeling of freedom, which doesn't need a huge plan after references. This makes our art original.

Mandalorian Drawing

Good evening, guys!

In april I started watching the series “The Mandalorian” though I’m not the biggest “Star Wars”-Nerd. And I was so fascinated by this story and the Mandalorian himself that I decided to watch every single movie of this popular universe when I finished season 1 of the series. I’m through with episode 1 and 2 and with some of the newer movies and so far I really like it. Of course it takes time to understand all the backgrounds but I’ll take this time.

Cause of my new obsession I drew the Mandalorian with black and white drawing ink. Hope you like it!

- Cars Painting -

Hallo guys!

Today I want to show you the result of the last art request I got! This time a young boy's wish was a "Cars"-themed canvas. I used acrylics for everything.

My first plan was it to paint only Lightning McQueen but after he ended up a bit too small for the chosen canvas, I decided to add also Hook and Sally. The truth is that I'm working almost all the time after my intuition and not after a whole plan. I have a concept at the beginning but in the end the result is always a surprise😁

More feeling, less planning.

Getting art requests is one of my most beloved passions, so it was a pleasure for me to paint Elsa for a little girl! I used effect colors, acrylics and chalk colors.

Children are my favourite "customers", their smiles and brightly shining eyes are worth all the work when they get their favorite heroes on a canvas. And since children love fanart and colors, like me, it's a nice opportunity for me to paint our animated role models and experiment with many different color pallets.

Character Studies: Shadow

Hallo Social Media Freaks out there!

At first I have to say something to all the ones, who sell art to people. Of course the smile of a happy child or any other human who gets a drawing or a painting is the most worthy thing you earn as an artist. But when you negotiate a price, be sure you get it! I have this problem at the moment, I’m waiting for my earnings since 1 week, though the customer told me to bring it to me directly. Now I don’t get any message, call or anything else. So I can only give you the advise to demand the price directly when the customer is getting your art.

Alright! The last 2 days I worked on some sketches of one of my favourite characters I’ll ever have: Shadow the Hedgehog. Since 9 years (yeah, I still know the exact year) he’s an important part of my life. He motivates me everyday with his strength, his bravery, his courage and so on...

Shadow came into my life when I had some really tough times with many cried tears and changes and I think he was the hero I needed. He’s an introvert, a single fighter, a silent and sarcastic one. He always seems to be the tough and cold hearted bad boy. Bad boy and tough? Okay, I think, this things are belonging to him. But I looked behind this walls immediately and found something more, someone with a dark story, a serious character - and a light and sensitive heart, which was locked behind darkness for a very long time. And somehow I still feel close to him, cause of my own darker backstory, our characteristic similarities and the support he’s giving to me since so many years, in good and bad times. And I have to admit that times got much better while the last years and I’m sure that Shadow did a lot that I got this far. Shadow is one of the most interesting Toon-Characters I’ve ever “met” and he’ll always be a true hero to me.

Detective Pikachu!

Good night and a happy new year, guys!

It’s 2020 now and I already finished my first art piece in this year which will hopefully one with many great experiences, fun, adventures and creativity!

I watched “Detective Pikachu” some weeks ago and I fell in love with this movie, especially with the cute Pikachu with Ryan Reynolds voice ;) I planned to draw him. I met a good friend this week and he said he would have a belated christmas gift for me, while I had nothing ^^ So I created this small collage of Pika, since my friend is a Poke-Fan, too! I used black and white ink for the lining, acrylics for the coloring and soft pastels for the background on grey paper.

Character Studies: Kick Buttowski

Hallo guys!

Today I wanted to go the “painful” way and sketched Clarence “Kick” Buttowski who was on air from 2009 until 2012 with 2 great seasons! I was and I am still a huge fan of this small but courageous guy. Really, he inspired me! And since I went through some very tough days full of changes and new beginnings at this time I needed a guy like him in my life. I never missed an episode and planned my driving lessons after this show, cause of the motivation and the laughter it gave to me. That’s why I wrote a Mail to it’s creator Sandro Corsaro (like I wrote in an earlier blog).

Like Randy Cunningham Kick is an underrated person with much power and I think his show was pretty underrated, too, though it was and is an important part of many peoples life, of their childhood and growing up. He deserves more attention and I hope that many younger people will explore him in future to learn from Kick like I did. “Live till it hurts”. Get the best out of your life, risk things, get over obstacles and don’t think about what others say.

Chalk - Art: Cyndaquil

Good evening, artists, poets, dreamers and so on!

I’m back from my christmas - trip and I started with something I deeply missed: drawing with soft pastels and chalk! I experienced how realistic Pokemon are looking as chalk - drawings and it’s much fun. The lining, the coloring, the creation of crossings between two or more colours... really, you should try it! 

Tonight I chose Cyndaquil cause we share the same element, fire, and it’s one of the first Pokemon I learned to know in a Poke - Game I played on my Nintendo DS. So a lot of great memories are connected with this small and cute creature. I’m planning to draw more Pokemon in this style, maybe you have an idea what I should draw next?

Character Studies: Randy Cunningham

Good late evening, guys!

It’s the first day of christmas and since it’s 11pm and I’m the only person who is awake here, I took my time for new character studies. 

I chose Randy Cunningham - The 9th Grade Ninja in person! To be honest, I needed some time to get warm with this show by Disney but this time was worth it cause Randy became one of my favourite heroes ever. He’s so sympathetic because he is the opposite of a typical and perfect hero. Randy is kind of clumsy and needs some minutes to know what is to do, while his job as Norrisville’s ninja and as a normal student. But he’s much underrated by everyone except his best friend Howard. Randy is a teenager with typical teenager-problems with a double-life, who has to keep a huge secret and who owns many talents inside!

I think I can compare myself with Randy as a person who is outside the society’s “winners” and the popular people, a person, you wouldn’t expect too much from but who has enormous potential and abilities! It’s a pity that only his second personality as the ninja gets fame by his home town but Randy himself bad words. Maybe this is the fact most of the time: The “losers” in our society, to which I proudly belong, are the ones with the greatest potential to give something to the world. One more Plus for Randy is his beginning career as a musician in his own band, since I’m a (secret) singer and guitar player.
