It was Trey’s idea to feature a DIY ice-cream bar at the next Unbirthday Party. “Nothing like something cold to help cool you off at the height of summer,” he’d said (though, truthfully, you thought that he was just looking for a break from baking absurd amounts of sweets to sate Heartslabyul). Riddle had granted his permission, and thus the bar was assembled.

“... So, how exactly does this work?” he asked, brow wrinkling as he approached the front of the ice-cream table.

“There’s no rules you need to follow,” you told Riddle with a giggle. “It’s ‘do-it-yourself’, so you just throw together whatever you like in a bowl and go.”

“I can make... whatever I wish?” He spoke as though the concept were foreign to him.

“Yeah, like this!” You demonstrated by wetting a scooper in a container of warm water before running it in a tub. Producing a perfectly round mound of ice-cream, you deposited it into your bowl. You handed the scooper off to your boyfriend, who gingerly accepted it.

Riddle mimicked your motion, then hurried behind you as you made your way down the line to the toppings station. Usually he was so confident, so large and in charge--but in the moment, he was no different from any other unsure high school boy.

He watched, curious, as you popped open a bottle of strawberry syrup and used it to drizzle a little heart, two dots, and a smile onto your scoop. You replaced the syrup, your hand hovering over the can of whipped cream, sprinkles, maraschino cherries, and candies, then it suddenly dawned on Riddle.

“Did you... make me?” he asked, staring down at your bowl of ice-cream. 

“What if I did?” You placed a strawberry--slice to resemble a little crown--on the ice-cream Riddle’s head.

“But whatever for?”

“I did say ‘you just throw together whatever you like in a bowl’, didn’t I?” You stuck out your tongue at him. “And I like you a lot, so why wouldn’t I put you in my bowl?”

“Th-That’s... that’s simply absurd!” Riddle cried, his face flaring as crimson as his strawberry crown. “You can’t just... m-make up rules as you go! That’s unfair! That’s cheating!!”

“Ahahah~ You’re bright red, Riddle! You’re so cute, I could eat you right up.”

To prove your point, you dipped your spoon straight into your ice-cream, claiming his entire left cheek. The bite tasted like cream, as deep and sweet as Riddle’s love.

Hi👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 I have seen these scenes in anime before where you go to wake up someone in the morning, but instead of them waking up they grab you and hug you tightly to them. I would love to see a scene like that with Riddle where the reader goes to wake him up since Trey was busy doing other things, but they end up getting grabbed by Riddle and hugged tightly by him, you can make it where Riddle wakes up and just flushes red, and the reader gets scared thinking he will “off with their head”, but instead he apologies to the reader and thanks them for coming to wake up. Thank you😁

Mornings in Heartslabyul were wild. There were always students running about, terrified of the dorm head catching them slacking in any way, shape, or form. Days like today were always busier, as there was an Unbirthday Party approaching and not everyone had finished the jobs they had been assigned. Trey, who normally would have finished his duties last night, was one of these students, as he had gotten caught up in helping the first years who accidentally turned the roses to dust instead of turning them red.

It was getting later and later when he finally realized he completely forgot to wake Riddle up. With a pleading expression, he asked you to please go wake up your boyfriend, insisting that he shouldn't react too angrily if it was you he saw first thing. For some reason, you agreed.

Sunlight was peaking through the curtains and streaming into Riddle's bedroom. The lighting was gorgeous and illuminated the skin on his blissfully sleeping face. He looked so cute and cozy wrapped up in his blankets and it made you hesitate slightly about waking him up. Pausing for a moment, you glanced at the clock beside his bed. It was already late, you should stop stalling and wake him up, you thought with a sigh.

You sat delicately on his bed beside him. He was turned away from you, facing the window. You reached out and lightly grasped his shoulders, shaking him softly. He rolled over, now facing you, and you thought he was waking up properly. You shook him again, a little firmer this time, trying to wake him up so he wouldn't be late.

To your surprise, your boyfriend instead wrapped his arms around you with surprising strength. He held on tightly, nuzzling his face against you and mumbling something you couldn't quite make out. You were stunned for a moment before having to stifle a laugh at how cute he is. You never thought this was how your morning would play out.

Your boyfriend was surprisingly hard to wake. He seemed to be in an incredibly deep sleep as he held onto you tightly and, every now and then, would mutter something incomprehensible. You couldn't help but wonder what he was dreaming about as you shook him more.

Shaking him again, you spoke up a little bit louder, the mirth evident in your voice. This was quite an amusing situation, after all. Your shoulders were practically shaking as you tried so hard to keep your laughter in so you wouldn't tick him off the second he woke up. Finally, his eyes open.

Riddle blinked for a moment, his eyes bleary as he rubbed at them softly. His arms slowly let go of you and he looked at you for a moment, his face growing redder and redder with every passing second. For a moment, you feared he was going to chop off your head with his magic.

To your surprise, he simply turned his head away from you, his clenched fist pressed up against his pursed lips. His face was completely red and he couldn't bring himself to even look in your general direction. You weren't sure if you'd ever seen him this embarrassed before.

He cleared his throat. "Thank... thank you for waking me up," he began quietly, his eyes still fixated on his blanket instead of on you. "I am... I am truly sorry you had to see me in such a state."

At that, you could no longer hold in your laughter. You giggled with glee and patted him good-naturedly on his back. "Oh, Riddle," you laughed. "There's nothing to be sorry about! I really didn't mind and you were incredibly cute."

Maybe it was because you two are behind closed doors. Maybe it was because he was in love with you. Either way, instead of blowing up at you, Riddle's face only grew redder and his body only grew tenser. Maybe Trey was right; it was a good thing you went to wake Riddle instead of someone else today.

Twisted Wonderland Theory/Analysis: Explaining the Overblot Clothes

Let’s get started with all of them:

The dyed hands:

In Japanese, when someone commits a crime you said something like “they dyed their hands with sin”

The eyes:

I did say that this had to do with the death of Walt Disney, but it’s more of something to do with the reason for blotting.

There are two types:

Emotional Blots (Left): Emotional blots are the ones which the problems are very hard to solve, and they can’t be resolved quite yet, or even ever. They tend to focus on the future, rather than the past.

Intellectual Blots (Right): Intellectual blots are the ones they can solve, but they didn’t yet. But the person feels like they have the emotional capacity and opportunity to resolve it right then.

Riddle:

Crown:

As what we think; fame, justice, glory, beauty, intellect, insightfulness, etc. (all something positive)

Cards:

When they say cards and Heartslabyul, I think about the students, or the soldiers.

But they are placed in a position that looks like they are ‘falling to the ground’; so this may express Ace and Deuce especially, who are 'lower’ than him, and asked for him to fight.

The clubs and diamonds are also behind him, which is Cater and Trey, which I assume that they are his 'loyal followers’.

No card is beside him, which I assume that 'no one can be in an equal position with him’

Belt/Choker:

Belts do have many different meanings, but largely they mean 'restraints for bondage,’ and 'holding themselves back’

The choker has a similar meaning as the belts.

Rose:

The rose is commonly used to express love and beauty, but depending on the color of the rose, the meaning will change.

White rose: Respect and innocence

Black rose: Love that is addicting, hatred, and resentment.

Heart:

Hearts are used for a symbol of life and emotion; expressing how he’s half full of the negative emotions (blot) and the normal, unharmful emotions.

Eye:

Riddle is the only dorm leader who has a net that is shaped like a heart covering the eye, rather than tears.

What’s different about Riddle?

Riddle’s past is different from the others. He had a small positive memory with Che'nya and Trey.

Riddle’s past had an event that stopped him from completely closing (nets are see through) his heart.

Leona:

Mane:

Only male lions have manes and the more darker/longer it is, the more they are seen to be strong.

Black is the color of the 'rebirth’, like the circle of life, as well as 'instincts’

Since it’s covering his heart from light, I assume that means that he is hiding something or protecting something.

Fangs:

The fangs that seem attached to the mane, usually mean harvest or success in hunting and are used as 'talisman’ or 'a charm for good luck’.

I think what he wants is luck so that he doesn’t hurt anyone with his powers.

Black Stone (belt):

Honestly, I have a few that would fit Leona.

Black Diamond: like the fangs, they are used as a stone for good luck. They also can mean 'fortitude/persistence’

Onyx: Means fingernail/claw in Greek (but it’s also Latin), which I assume has something to do with his Unique Magic. Means 'beginning and endings of relationships.

Onyxes are used as a charm for protecting the person from the malicious intentions of others.

Others are obsidian and jet (protection)

All the stones seem like Leona hasn’t given up on becoming king.

Circlet/Eyepatch:

People think that it’s an eyepatch, but I think it’s a circlet and an eyepatch.

Circlets are head pieces like a crown, but why isn’t he wearing a crown if he wanted to be one so much?

It’s because Leona himself knows more than anyone that no matter how much he tries, he can never be king.

And because of this, he wouldn’t wear one like Riddle.

Also, because he won’t wear a crown, but change its shape and painting it, it means that he never will in real life ever. He doesn’t want to see the future, or he may neglect it, which is represented by the eye patch.

Azul:

Crown:

Triton’s crown, same meaning as Riddle’s. ( fame, justice, glory, beauty, intellect, insightfulness, etc.)

Merform:

The lines of his waist are often seen on shark like creatures and the spicks are seen on sting rays, scorpion fish, and other poisonous fish.

Venetian Mask:

Azul’s makeup looks like a Venetian Mask.

There’s a lot of opinions where the story of the “Little Mermaid” takes place, but most of them happen in Denmark/Switzerland (I heard the Caribbean sea was one) 

Venice is the middle point, for trade I think. It’s a small city on water with many people and the masks were used to hide their faces. These masks also have a meaning to unleash their desires. I heard that they used them for festivals to be free.

Azul’s over blot had a similar story to ‘unleash daily desires and hide behind a mask’

Eyes:

Like Leona, his left eye is on fire, which means he is worried about the future. So because the flame is purple, the color of worry and spirituality, he was worried about losing his powers on the inside, but he only expressed his ‘god like’ power of knowing secrets and gaining deals. 

Hands:

His hand’s palms are not dyed, which I assume is because of Leona (It’s in my masterlist but Jade should have been the one overbloting) 

Jamil:

Feather: 

Feather come from birds which symbolize freedom. They are also said to help the person’s best points/talents as a talisman. They are used to mark a new start as a tattoo, I think. 

Water jug (on the sleeves):

Water is treasure because they live in the desert; water is very important. 

Red Stone:

I think Spinel is the best fit for this one. They are said to help set aside egos, become devoted, and encourage great passion. (Their good for root chikaras I think)

Garnet is one too because it represents ‘friendship’

Snake (Turban/hair)

The turban is worn instead of the crown because in the western Asian culture, they indicated social status (kings and rulers) as well as religion. They also mean ‘dignity’.

The snakes represent ‘rebirth’ as well ‘the circle of life’.

If we say that the stone seems like they are the Asim family, then the snakes (Viper’s) look like they are an infinity symbol. 

Maybe for all eternity they will connected.

The black ones symbolize two things in dreams:

It may suggest you are ‘annoyed’.

They can also mean that they are repelling the chance of ‘freedom’

If we go with the second one, then that means that Jamil will never be free with these circumstances.

Makeup/Eye: 

Not exactly sure, but they remind me of veils and tikka. They live in the western parts of Asia (in the world of Twisted Wonderland), where face veils are worn.

Face veils were used as heat protection as well as religious things, but where do they cover? The mouth.

This probably comes from the saying

“see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil”

It means: don’t watch, listen, or say anything that is bad for you, and people’s bad points/pasts.

When you look into his past and the story, you see he has done most of these. He didn’t say anything about the money and Crowley and hid is magic.

Because it covers his mouth, it means that he can’t say (rather he won’t let himself) his opinions.

I made a joke saying that Floyd is Hizamaru's revenge role for the many years of Higekiri forgetting his name 😂

Lilia Vanrouge and Juzumaru Tsunetsugu:

Both characters are practically grandpas (though Juzumaru isn't the ultimate jiji I LOVE YOU MIKAZUKI)

“You want a hug? From me? Sure!” Ruggie laughed, moving forward and holding his arms out. His hands wrap around your waist, and he rests his head on your body, sighing at the warmth.

“Hugs are always nice. You feel so comforting,” he sighed, nuzzling into your clothes. Hi sears twitched, and Ruggie glanced up at you.

“You can pat my ears too, if you want,” he added, grinning. “I don’t mind. I know you’ll be gentle with me.”

“If I recall correctly, Trey did mention leaving some in the kitchen for me,” Riddle murmured, rifling through his memory. “Stay behind me. I’ll take you out to the gardens, and I’ll have someone fetch the tarts for us.”

He paused, glancing at the kitchen. “Would you like tea as well? Or would you prefer lemonade? It would be nice to share a drink too.”

“Eh? Share a straw? B-But isn’t that-?” He gasped, shaking his head. “I… I guess if you want to, I’ll do it! D-Don’t tell anyone about the fact that we’re going to be indirectly kissing though!”
